Wish I could give a 2.5 star. Pretty good amount of fish but for a hefty price. Paid about $20 for a regular bowl and was surprised at the amount of fish they put in it, not a crazy amount especially for $20 but better than I've seen at other places. However the white rice was super grainy and tasted like leftovers. You pay extra for avocado but they put just a tiny scoop of it. I was craving some Poki and decided to try this place out. The restaurant is kept up and had a lot of cute Halloween decorations. For food I decided to get the Large Bowl which comes with 5 Protien options. I did half rice with salad and 3 Protein options of spicy creamy tuna and 2 salmon. Best poki in town. I started coming to this place due to convenience fir lunch. It had now become a regular lunch stop for me. Everything is quite fresh and tasty. Service is always with a smile. Only thing is they have a small parking lot they share with other businesses in the strip mall which sometimes gets filled completely. I have listed my review as "two stars" because the food served and sauces added to the dishes are enjoyable; I am honestly slightly disappointed that I will no longer be enjoying them as a result of the overriding negative tone that accompanies the operation of this restaurant. I love Poki Monster!! The restaurant is located in a strip mall with just enough parking, but the lot is pretty small. Once you step into the restaurant, you'll be greeted by sweet friendly faces ready to take your order. The staff has a tendency to repeat everything you say back to them to ensure they have your order correctly - so be patient and don't get grumpy at them. The ordering process is very easy - look on the wall for a guide for step by step instructions. If you don't want to read, the workers will help you figure out what you need. (Size of your dish, Base, fish, toppings, sauces). I like to look at the wall so I can just tell them what I want with ease. I've eaten here multiple times, and the fish are always fresh and tasty. I had my first poke bowl ever at this place when I didn't know how to order, and everyone was super helpful. Price point, when you factor in inflation, is fair. While the plaza itself is small and the lunch/dinner rush can make finding parking difficult, I keep coming back for a reason ahah. I'm quite impressed with poki monster. I've gone to quite a few poke places and so it's rare to come across an establishment that I actually enjoy. My coworker and I came here earlier today for lunch at 12:30pm and it wasn't too packed. Parking was a breeze (but I know based on the size of the plaza, it can get a little tricky depending on the time). We were greeted and helped immediately upon entering. I decided to get a regular bowl ($8.99) with half salad, half rice with 3 scoops including salmon, albacore and spicy mayo (premixed) tuna. For my toppings I got seaweed salad, edamame, pineapple, a scoop of fake crab meat (they charge extra for extra scoops), and cucumber. They were a little stingy with the toppings in my opinion, but the scoops of fish were just the right amount. The salmon looked fresh and the tuna was alright (you really can't tell cus it was mixed already) but the albacore looked a little less fresh. I ended with the recommended sauces (shoyu, sesame oil and I'm not sure what the last one was) and the volcano sauce (basically level 1 hot sauce), masago, wasabi, and scallions. I also got spicy mayo on the side, which I recommend if you want some extra sauces. I was able to finish my entire bowl, with a little bit left over but I thought the overall amount of the bowl was generous enough. There was def enough flavor, the servers were pretty kind, and the overall process was pretty efficient. I do want to note that even though the place was starting to get packed, a lot of people get their orders to go - so you might be lucky if you want to eat in. Once again it's the same process.... 1. Pick your base. ( I get half salad/ half steamed rice) 2. Pick your toppings ( Here I always change it up) 3. Pick your fish and sauce ( Loco and spicy mayo with onions along with 3 scoops of fish for me) 4. Last few topping ( I get everything EXCEPT THE wasabi) If you feel rushed... don't... take your time! The employees have always been really friendly and will help with the ordering process! I have been very lucky with the servings! The scoop for the fish is small and in some Poke restaurants I have seen that the employees will drop fish out of the scooper! Here, they really SCOOP the fish in the bowl! I LOVE IT!! Parking is tight! You'll find a spot, just be patient and DO NOT PARK IN THE 7 ELEVEN SPOTS or you will get towed! Stamp cards are offered! I love poke but this was my first poke (not poki) only restaurant. I was a little skeptical about the whole concept - a poke Chipotle or Chipoke. :) But for a relatively healthy and light lunch, a poke bowl hits the spot. You select from white and brown rice or salad and choose 3 (regular) or 5 (large) scoops of fish (tuna, spicy tuna, salmon, scallops, cooked shrimp and albacore). The scoops are tiny but they do give you a bigger scoop than the actual scooper. You then complete your bowl from a variety of toppings and sauces. The first time I had a regular and was not completely satisfied. The 2nd time I got a large for $11.95 but was completely full. I found the fish and all the ingredients to be fresh. The service was friendly and patient. These places are popping up everywhere. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. read more

But if i come here and she isn't working and someone else is, they cheep my out of everything, & when i ask for more they barley put anything. I really wish the owner would teach their staff to not cheap people out of food that is already expensive. I haven't been to many poki places so I don't have much room to compare, but I think this place is great. For $8.95 I can get the regular bowl with three scoops of fish, toppings and sauces. I got spicy tuna, spicy salmon, and albacore. All toppings are free and certain ones have a fee to get EXTRA. Get the poki sauce and ponzu.... and spicy mayo! Deliciousness. I got half salad and brown rice for the base. It's definitely enough for me. I actually have to save half for later. The scoops of fish are kind of small, but in the end-worth it.
