    Burrito
    Samantha R.

Ordered for the office as someplace new to try, as it came recommended from another coworker. I've always wanted to try a sushi burrito and was so excited to see one on the menu. Food is fresh and really good though the burrito is definitely shareable, and not so good saved for the second day (cold rice is not the way). I think next time I may go for a Nori instead of a Soy wrap but I was pretty happy with the burrito!

I'm not usually in this area, but while waiting for an event nearby, I was craving poke and saw this place had solid reviews. It's a small shop tucked into a plaza, and when I stopped by in the late afternoon, it was completely empty -- I was the only customer there. Service was straightforward and typical for a build-your-own poke bowl spot. The employee behind the counter helped me put together my bowl, and everything moved quickly and smoothly. Nothing really stood out about the service, but there also wasn't anything to complain about. I ordered a regular bowl, and the first thing that stood out to me was how large the portion size was. Definitely one of the more generous servings I've seen compared to similar poke spots, which was a nice surprise. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavor was exactly what I expected. Overall, a solid poke spot. Nothing over the top or fancy, but great value and a satisfying meal -- especially for the portion size. Would recommend if you're in the area and craving poke.

"This poke bowl was ridiculously good. Everything tasted fresh and balanced perfectly. The salmon was buttery, the crab mix had the right amount of creaminess, and the spicy sauce tied everything together without overpowering the bowl. The cucumbers and edamame added a fresh crunch, while the corn and roe gave it extra texture and flavor. Even the seaweed seasoning on top took it to another level. Every bite had something different going on, and somehow it all worked together perfectly. Easily one of the best poke bowls I've had in a while.

Friendly helpful service. We each got a small poke bowl. I got salmon & tuna with mixed greens, edamame, onions, cucumber, garlic ponzu and eel sauce and crispy onions with ginger. He got similar. Plus we shared tempura shrimp only because they were out of spam musubi. The food was fresh & delicious and the place clean & nice. The only reason I'm omitting one star is because they had no tap water. We had to buy bottled water. How hard is it to offer cups of tap water?

    sushi Burrito

Went to try the viral sushi burrito the other day. However upon going to the location once i told the worker that i wanted the sushi burrito he started laughing as if he was annoyed that i ordered it. After ordering he proceeds to make the sushi burrito completely different than the other employee as u can see in the photo mine looks more like a sandwich than burrito. Once i opened it it completely fell apart and was unable to eat as a whole. quality was good and taste was good but overall impossible to eat with the worker having made it this way.

I truly love this place. Every time we come here, the staff is incredibly generous and helpful, and we always enjoy the poke and the food we order. I believe everyone should try this poke place--especially if you like seafood, this should definitely be one of your go-to spots. We came in today and Gosh was one of the people who helped us; he was super nice and generous. People like Gosh make us want to keep coming back. Thank you so much.

Wandered in here randomly for a quick bite one afternoon and was taken by surprise how great of a find it was! The build-your-own-bowl format allows for complete customization with plenty variety to choose from and it was all very fresh! Even the small bowl is a generous proportion so you get a bang for your buck here. The salmon and tuna sushi we tried tasted great and the sauces were delicious! The ladies working were super friendly and helpful with our questions. Will definitely be coming back!

Typically would live a BBQ mix plate, but did not want left overs. The burger was excellent I must say, it was large, had great flavor, I think it picked up some of the flavor from the other BBQ meats they cook. Lettuce, tomato, onions, a complete solid burger. Recommended. We also got a basic side salad, with a sesame dressing, it was good, decent side garden salad. We also got a couple orders of fries, which were a let down to me, over cooked and the flavor just was not there. I wish we would have save the $8 for the two orders of fries, which I think even if good was a bit high for French fries. They have a burger by itself, or a combo that comes with fries and a drink. If you just want fries, you order the burger and then the fry, no special deal, but as I said, I would skip the fries and get some spam musubi or Mac salad or anything else. They also have a thing of Jalapeños, garlic and onions you can get yourself, I really like them. They were very busy, staff seemed a little overwhelmed, but they did a good job and seemed nice enough. They have a small interior with tables and a couple outside in front under a thatched umbrella, good touch. The location is great, right on San Fernando and 2nd I believe, near the theater and all the shopping. Enjoy!

My son didn't make a reservation because it was a Wednesday night and he didn't think it would be crowded. But with 5 adults and a baby carriage, we had to wait for the right table because the somewhat small restaurant was full. We soon got a good spot and ordered the shrimp ceviche and the pan fried dumplings for appetizers. The ceviche was served on a bed of crispy noodles and it was refreshing and satisfying. The dumplings were crispy, not greasy, and flavorful. For dinner, we got 2 orders of japchae and 3 orders of bibimbap. With 2 Korean-born children and having visited the country, those are among our family's favorite dishes. And they did not disappoint. The japchae noodles were just right. They were not too firm and not too soft and well-seasoned. With a mixture of veggies, meat, mushrooms, eggs, and that delectable sauce, the bibimbap tickled and satiated the tastebuds. I told the server there was a birthday at the table and she brought out an excellent creme brulee with a candle in it. My husband and I didn't pay the bill. But the prices were reasonable with most of the entrees costing less than $20 each. We have four more days in town and may very well make another visit to indulge in that scrumptious food.

My boyfriend and I were across the street at Fantasia watching a World Cup came, and after we were craving hand rolls, when he spotted Toro Sushi Poke House. The prices were really affordable, so we just had to try it, and were so glad we did because this was one of the most affordable and delicious nigiri and hand roll experiences we've had! The place itself is small and intimate. They have a bar area and few tables inside and a small outdoor seating as well. When we entered we were greeted by our friendly waiter, and seated immediately. It was pretty empty around 5 pm on a Friday, which was convenient because we didn't have to wait for a table.
