    Salmon Poke Bowl
    Joey L.

Parking: There's a public parking structure nearby to park in. It can fill up pretty quickly during peak hours. If not there is a couple of spots for street parking here and there. Seating: The inside of the place is on the smaller side. There are a couple of tables inside and a lot of bar seating. They also have multiple tables set up outdoors. Just a heads up that the outdoor tables are set up on the street with a barricade separating you from traffic. Classic Salmon Poke Bowl: The base of the bowl is white rice with soy sauce. The ingredients include: salmon, masago, seaweed, imitation crab, green onion, furikake, fried onions, cucumber and ginger. It's a cute simple poke bowl. The rice was fluffy and the toppings were fresh. I enjoyed the bowl, however, I wished there was a bit more salmon or toppings because the rice was quite a lot. Build Your Own Poke Bowl: These are the following items I chose inside my bowl: - Base: half spring mix and white rice - Protein: salmon and yellowtail - Sauce: sweet ponzu - Toppings: mandarin slices, corn, cucumber, and edamame This was a lot better than the classic salmon poke bowl. I think it was because you get to pick your own sauce. PSA: There is no restroom inside the shop, however, if you ask the staff they will give you a code to a restroom located a short walk away.

My friend and I were here on 7.13.26 for lunch. I had a great experience, first service here was FANTASTIC... why? Because before we even set foot in the restaurant, we were just outside looking at their menu board and specials and the lovely lady came out and asked if we have any questions!! How nice is that? Anyways, as a matter of fact we did, we saw another sign near the menu board of their $9.99 Monday Special!! Of course it is on, and we went in to eat, we sat at the bar area, I have to say it is a small place (cozy), there was seating outside too, but it was hot. As we were seated, our server got us nice cold water and gave us the menu. I got the special with the Poke. It was good, lots of rice though and I believe not sure if he's the owner or manager but he asked if everything was good and he noticed I finished all the top part, with rice left and mentioned maybe he may add salad to the menu...my friend and I agree. I would love to try more of their food next time.

Poke. Good but light on protein.

I just wanted a little poke. Not the gourmet bar experience While awesome it is usually expensive. I just want a little bite to satisfy my fish craving. Greeting at the door first class first class lady first class Service first class attitude For starters, the menu was simple easy to grasp Mild music, calm atmosphere Asian cooking show on the TV that was muted thank God For starters, my saki was piping hot! I can't stand Sami that comes out cool. I love it when it's so hot. I can hardly touch it and it was. Id return just for that alone! Had a poke bowl my only complaint if there is one , is that the poke bowl was a little light on quantity If you're hungry, I would recommend adding a protein or two. And in hindsight, I should've asked if it was on a bed of rice or greens as I would've chosen greens over the rice ( carb sensitive ) I felt a little hungry, so I ordered some seaweed salad and some edamame I got to walk back to the hotel with a small buzz, feeling satiated without being stuffed at a reasonable price 1/3 what I spend at a sushi bar! Seems to be family run based on the service. ( I wanted. To take the waitress home ) So sweet.

I have been to this spot a few times now and I love all the rolls here (the ones I've tried so far). The dragon roll is my favorite! The poke bowl is also great. Everything I've had so far tasted very good and the quality is !! For the quality the price is pretty reasonable. The indoor has a quaint but great ambiance and very clean, which is a plus for me! The servers are friendly and very helpful and the owners are super nice too. If you're in the neighborhood it's a must try!

Toro Sushi & Poke House has quickly become a go-to for our family. We've been for both lunch and dinner, and every time the food is very fresh, flavorful, beautifully prepared and there is something for everyone. The signature rolls (especially the rainbow and the terminator) are standouts, and the hand rolls are awesome too. They have delicious poke bowls where you can choose from a wide variety of fresh ingredients. The ramen is also extremely tasty. Definitely get an order of the jalapeño poppers! They're insanely good and I don't know where to find a dish quite like this anywhere else in LA. The sake selection is solid (I tried the sparkling sake yesterday and really loved), and prices are very reasonable for the quality. The space is comfortable whether you're sitting at the counter or at a table. There is a beautiful mural all along one wall. There is also patio seating available. The location is easy with convenient parking. Highly recommend. This place is doing everything right!

Toro has great sushi and service. The Spicy Tuna, Yellowtail, California, and King Rolls were delightful.

First time visiting Toro. Up until recently I didn't realize how many sushi restaurant choices there are in a. 5 mile radius. Toro is a worthwhile option with fresh selections, attentive friendly host and prompt service. I would return again to try more options.

I love love love toro sushi :3 my boyfriend had been coming here since before we were together and then put me on. Since we've been together for 4 years now, we've become toro sushi regulars. Here's why... For starters, the food is obviously what matters most to folks at restaurants, and they do not fall short in taste or quality. I am not a huge sushi eater, but from the 7ish rolls I've tried, I find myself going back to order the same ones that I really like (oceans special roll, & classic spicy tuna and crunchy California rolls). The sushi prices are very fair, especially for their simpler rolls. I am more of a ramen lover & always get their veggie shio ramen. Their non-veggie ramens also look very appetizing & my boyfriend and family members love the tonkotsu as well. The ramen prices are very fair and affordable compared to average prices of ramen nowadays. The poke is also very delicious. It tastes very fresh compared to other poke places I've tried. I like the options and the serving size is just right. It can be pricier than some other options but I think it's because of the quality, so I don't mind. Finally, my favorite appetizer here is the spicy edamame. I order this at most ramen/japanese restaurants I go to, and this is by far my favorite!! (literally drooling thinking about it omg) The vibes are very friendly, their main waitress (I think her name is "Fel"?) is always so so nice and makes you feel at home. Their newer managers (they've been managing the place for a few years now) are Albert and Angie. I absolutely love them and they are always checking in on us and ready to strike up friendly conversation. They enjoy getting to know their customers, but especially returning or regular customers. I think it makes the experience feel very communal and keeps us wanting to go back, aside from the food. Overall, a nice family own business with great service, clean presentation, and quality food. I'd give it a try over the chain restaurants nearby because they really have heart and passion for their business and they are truly a gem!

This place is under new management and ownership, and honestly, I have nothing but great things to say. I used to avoid getting sushi here because the vibes weren't it, but ever since the new ownership took over, everything has changed. The food is amazing--so fresh and delicious. It's truly a little gem in the middle of downtown Burbank. What I love most is how much they genuinely care about their customers. They always remember that I have dietary restrictions, and they even went out of their way to get a soy-sauce alternative that works for me. That alone is a 10-star experience in my book. The sushi is affordable, you're not paying for fillers, and the quality is top-tier. You can literally see how fresh the fish is--the tuna is that perfect red color it should be. That's how you know it's fresh. If you're looking for a great sushi spot with amazing food, great service, and people who truly care, this is the place. Try it once and you'll keep coming back--just like me.

Making a reservation was very easy, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted right away and seated promptly. The ambiance was warm and inviting. The restaurant is a bit dimly lit, but it really adds to the cozy and upscale atmosphere. One thing I immediately noticed was how clean all of the grills were. We chose the AYCE option (around $55 per person), and the pricing for kids was very reasonable. Our 5-year-old was charged a reduced rate, while our 3-year-old ate free, which was a nice bonus for families. The selection of meats was excellent, with plenty of options to choose from. They do have a 90-minute dining limit and a surcharge for excessive leftovers, but that wasn't an issue for us because everything was delicious. The appetizer selection was surprisingly large. We enjoyed the beef fried rice, noodles, a sushi roll, crispy tofu, chicken karaage, and shiitake mushrooms. The crispy tofu turned out to be spicier than we expected, so just keep that in mind if ordering for kids. However, spice lovers will probably enjoy it! The chicken karaage was a huge hit with the kids, especially with the spicy mayo on the side. The shiitake mushrooms were also incredibly flavorful and well-seasoned. We also ordered crispy rice spicy tuna, we loved it too! What really stood out was the service. Every server we encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Instead of simply dropping off food and walking away, they took time to check in, ask how we were doing, and connect with us. That personal touch made the experience feel special. We only ordered water since we had already had plenty of drinks earlier in the day, but they offer a variety of beverages as well. For dessert, we tried the mochi ice cream special--two for $5--which was a fantastic deal. In San Diego, it's common to pay around $5 for just one mochi ice cream, so we were pleasantly surprised. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and are so happy we chose Oku-Niku for my birthday celebration. Great food, excellent service, a family-friendly atmosphere, and a memorable dining experience. We'll definitely be back!
