I was too hungry, and I forgot to take a picture of my bowl. the best thing about this place is that they have mango! Ok its usually hard to mess up poke. In my life ive only tasted bad poke once or twice. This spot is like not worth it in my opinion. Theres PLENTY other poke spots that are more worth your money. FOOD: Small (13.72) // Regular (3 scoops): I mean I only got the spicy salmon. TBH its pretty good. Its hard to fk up salmon in poke. The marination was great. Alright so who decided that adding straght up soy sauce before the toppings was a good idea?? I added it because it was an option and if it was, it should taste good with the meal. NO the added soy sauce made all the rice SALTY really REALLY salty. Usualyl even if you go ham with ingredients in your bowl it still tastes good but the fact its too salty means the worker doesnt even know how to ration sauce. Terrible. The portion size was also terrible. Exact scoop leveled to the tea, not a singular fish over. IN FACT some scoops were actually smaller than leveled. Only 3 toppings per small is also diabolical. VIBES: This is located in a pretty empty plaza. I only came here because my Tesla had a service. I remember why now i never come here. Back to Bay Poke we go (my goat). I came in 20 minutes before closing after randomly searching for poke bc I didn't want to fall victim to pizza or other crappy fast food in a midnight drunken stupor...so the 1 worker was super nice with a beautiful face. It was empty when we arrived but I feel like the food was actually pretty solid here, actually better than other Poke spots that I've been around the area. First off bowls don't come with unlimited toppings you get the amount dependent on the bowl you get. We were fortunate enough that the person making our bowls didn't really care so we added a few extra toppings above the limit on the menu. A cool thing that they have here is hot cheetos crunchy which actually tasted really good. Poke quality ranged between good and great so overall we enjoyed our bowls very much. I had ordered 4 different bowls, great selection. Sweet salmon, Spicy Tuna and Tuna are absolutely fresh and savory. The veggies were fresh as well. The sauces are great too. The bowl is. An older hispanic lady helped me and off the bat her attitude was already off as if I inconvenienced her doing whatever she was doing in the back. I kindly ordered my poke bowl and 1 taco at the beginning. Not like I waited to order everything for my poke bowl and asked for a taco in the end. Portions are small. Their salmon does not look appetizing. Its like they use low grade salmon or frozen salmon cause there are no white fatty lines. It was just coral cubes so I just got ahi tuna instead. The lady kept tossing around my bowls as we were moving along the line almost like when youre mad at someone and youre throwing a mini tantrum. I paid and she walked away and I kindly asked for wasabi and she responded that she doesn't have any but walking away still so I just didn't fight it and left. I was really craving pokey, and all the local poke spots have been closed or just no longer a business or maybe moved I'm not sure. However this is the only poke spot around the radius that is within local driving distance so I decided to give it a try although I was skeptical. I did not read any reviews prior to coming here so I wasn't sure was gonna be and I thought it would be great to just try new place out and poor local business anyways. The place looked very empty. Upon entering I thought maybe it's because I'm going off hours however, the staff did not greet me or welcome me. When I first entered I was waiting for a staff to give me the attention. The woman who is on the counter, seeming like she has a lot of attitude, or maybe it was just a resting face, was eating on the counter, that their processing the other food which was slightly concerning. I ignored that, and I got a small Poké bowl upon taking the first bite. I realize something in the bowl wasn't right and after trying the various different food that I got from the bowl, it turned out I think the seaweed had gone bad because it was sour, and it tasted like Seaweed, and I have had Japanese and poki and seaweed of all sort, and that was not it. I end up throwing about a third of my bowl out, isolating the seaweed out, they overpour on the amount of sauce or the sauce they made are too salty. Perhaps they used Americanizing ingredients I'm not sure because normally when I have poki, the sauce or lighter. So I ended up spit some of the stuff out. I did not have the confidence in telling the staff because they weren't that welcoming about the food problem. I didn't care for refund, but I probably will not come back here again. read more

This was honestly the worst poke restaurant I've ever been to. I'm honestly surprised I didn't get sick from eating it. It doesn't appear to be very clean. The fish doesn't appear to be refrigerated well. The serving size is ridiculous. One serving of protein is about a tablespoon. 5 selections but Extra charge for extra scoop of imitation crab meat and extra charge for avocado (which is expected but, I also expect more than 2 small slivers of avocado) the guy gave me a tiny little tablespoon size serving of seaweed salad and apparently he felt that was too much and meticulously took away about 5 strands. $20 for a regular poke bowl in that condition is insane. Didn't even taste good. Only ate it because I was hungry and it was already 8pm. Biggest mistake going there. read more

Went to this place today on my lunch break as I was assisting another office today instead of my regular office. Since I'm usually strapped for time I just look for something close. Poke? Why not it's fish it's healthy instead of a burger joint. I ordered a large bowl which was given a small amount of rice for a large bowl. 1st strike. Then the layout of where the proteins were displayed. Keep them in one area don't try to hide them I did not see the shrimp which I would have taken instead if I saw it instead of 2 scoops of tuna. Strike 2. Last is the worst offense of them all. I asked for easy sauce for a reason! This girl freaking over sauces the bowl with eel, spicy mayo and ponzu! Why? Are you nuts? You try to choke down that much sauce in a bowl yourself! Strike 3. A waste of $20 I threw more than half the bowl away... will never be back. Learn what easy sauce means!!!! Service: came in and a guy was working by himself. He was friendly. Food: I saw some reviews and I suppose prepared myself for the worse. Yes, the portion for the small bowl is smaller than other places. I didn't notice anything bad about the tuna and salmon. But the rice was old and mushed up together. Also, I asked for corn and the guy switched the leftover with a new batch. I looked at it and thought the corn looked hella weird. Like was it fake??? But whatever. I guess I'll see. Turns out, he accidentally switched it with mango. This was my first time having mango in my poke. Honestly, mango isn't my thing, but it wasn't bad in the poke. Something new. It's a small place. Not really somewhere for you to eat and hang out. I know you can sit and eat, but it's like an Asian version of subway. You CAN eat there but you probably don't want to. This place gets two stars because despite the bad rice, I can't give it a 1 unless I found the place downright disgusting or if I had such a terrible experience. Would I come back? Nah. This used to be our go to spot for poke. Now the bowls are barely filled 1/2 way. Each scoop only contains 4-5 tiny cubes of fish. Almost $16 per bowl. Likely will not be coming back. Came here for lunch after watching a movie at AMC. There was only one guy working there making the food and doing cashier duty, which made the line go pretty slow. They have all the staples here: tuna, salmon, albacore, spicy tuna, shrimp, and sweet salmon (looks like a teriyaki marinade). They don't have any other interesting or fun proteins. You get a choice of crab or spicy crab and 5 toppings. Top off the bowl with up to 3 sauces and then I got all the garnishes. I wish I could get unlimited amount of toppings/sauces. Good here is always good. My boyfriend and I eat here every time I visit So Cal. Their soy paper burritos are amazing and their bowls are beyond delicious. I forgot to take a picture. I had a full spring mix with 3 proteins and 5 toppings regular on the sauces. My boyfriend had white rice 4 proteins and 5 toppings. He likes his with extra sauce or as he says very wet. Extra sauce is obviously extra cash but for him it's totally worth it. He was a happy camper. He definitely gets what he wants when I pick up for some reason when ordering online it's not drenched just regular wet but I won't lower the 5 star because I'm always happy and at the end of the day, I'm all that matter. The service was top notch when they got to me.
