Nice Poke spot in Montebello, in a mini mall with ample free parking. This place has a standard variety and size portion of fish, but has some unique changes- has noodles as a starch option (which only a few poke places have) and has a few interesting toppings (pickled radish, boiled egg), along with the standard toppings. They also give large topping portions which is a big plus for bigger eaters! The only downside being no imitation crab, which is usually one of my favorites. They have a lot of cool poke/sushi burritos as well, with several varieties they have already picked out. Haven't tried these yet but will in future. Also has some Basic ramen in case you want to snuggle into a warm Bowl of soup. This place also has boba and smoothies, which is a nice touch. Price is a little on the higher side than most poke places, however this is the only poke place in the neighborhood so they have that market down. However, I find the prices fair given the good quality proteins and the large portions of toppings. read more

Been here twice and service was always excellent! The workers are always smiling and very friendly which makes me feel very welcoming :) They sell sushi burritos, poke bowls, and ramen! This is the first poke place that I see that you can actually ask for ramen for the base for your poke bowl instead of rice or salad but you can also get half and half (rice and salad or ramen and salad). Although I never got ramen in my bowl before, my friends had and said it was a good combo. They have a large amount of protein that you can select from. They have spicy or regular tuna, spicy or regular salmon, spicy or regular scallops, crab meat, albacore, and if you don't eat seafood, they also have tofu! The place is pretty big for a poke place. It's so mushy like porridge and since it was regular white rice there was no seasoning. At least offer sushi rice if it's going to be so mushy and bland. Didn't help that extra sauce costed $0.50. Toppings: a good amount of toppings to pick from. But extra is also $0.50. Not sure if it was the roasted garlic, red onions, or cucumbers, but it was suppper bitter. I've been here a few times prior to my experience last night and I've never felt this way about the food before. It's been at least a year or so since the last time - so things may have changed and especially with covid. Anyways, I called in an order for 8 bowls around 6:30pm. I believe the ordering was very easy and I was glad they let me order over the phone since it was a pretty big order. First off, I do not like that they charge for crab meat ($1.50) and they categorize it as a protein. I understand that crab is a protein but all poke places that I've been to have never charged for the initial scoop of crab meat. It's always included. I was not satisfied with that. Second, the scoops of fish were very tiny. I ordered 3 scoops but didn't see that much fish at all. My friends felt the same. They seem to be a bit stingy with their fish. Third, the sauce was definitely not enough. The sauce wasn't consistent in all bowls either. I ordered the spicy Mayo and it was oddly orange. My friends ordered the same and theirs was oddly white. Fourth, the rice reminded me of solid porridge. I know it was the end of the day but I couldn't even stick my fork in to separate the rice to eat it. Whenever I stuck my fork in, it just seemed like it was so sticky to the point of not even being able to eat it. I didn't eat any of the rice. All in all, some of these issues may be due to the fact that it was near closing time but I was not satisfied with the food at all. I'm giving this a 2 star as the bowls were a good size and the service wasn't bad. read more
