I've never had Hawaiian poke before so this was a first. I came on a Thursday around 6pm with a friend, the parking is a little small as it is in a plaza with a bunch of other stores. Freshness is key and then volume of food given is satisfactory, a single serving of fish would run you just over $20. Poke was UNREAL. Hawaiian style poke spot with fresh and very flavorful poke. They have fresh poke from Hawaii shipped to them every other day and each flavor is unique in its own regard. Come earlier in the day because once a certain flavor runs out, they don't restock until the next day. I highly recommend trying the spicy HAWAIIAN style ahi poke. It's a unique umami spicy mayo in their ahi tuna with a special type of seaweed that makes it have such a unique taste. Unreal in every sense of the word. The quality of food here is phenomenal. Friendly staff and efficient service makes up for the small interior. There is a variety of options for each fish, my favorite being spicy mayo. There's also premium fish options which I have yet to try, but I think it's saying something that I am so impressed by just their regular lineup. The reason I gave 2 stars is because my family and I got minor food poisoning from this meal :( It was also really expensive (around $56 for 1 premium ahi large bowl and 1 standard ahi large bowl). Flavor wise, it was not bad but I felt like the flavors weren't strong enough and were super similar to each other since I had to keep alternating flavors to actually taste something. Amazing! I'm glad to be able to try this again, now at their new permanent location in Arcadia. We arrived on a Wednesday around dinner time, and there was a small line at 6:30 PM. It lets you sample a few different flavors, featuring inari topped with some of their special poke. It wasn't salty but was packed with flavor. A must-try if you enjoy inari. (5/5) Poke Bowl - We got a large bowl so we could share it. The portion size was reasonable, but the poke is still unreal. It's one of the few poke spots around that truly reminds us of the poke we had in Hawaii. Not much else to say besides it's delicious. I've had Unreal Poke before at night markets and festivals, so I'm so glad they finally have a home in Arcadia. It's a very small spot, and the four of us were lucky to snag the table by the window, most customers seem to take their orders to go. I'm especially happy they offer salmon, since most poke places only have tuna. I got a bowl with shoyu salmon and ginger onion tuna, and they really loaded it with extra ginger and onion and it was so delicious! If you can't decide, try the poke bomb, where you pick five different types of fish, which is what my husband got. Intrigued by unreal poke! There's been so many places opening and popping up all through the SGV. The poke game is stepping it up this year which has been great. I love witnessing the evolution. Poke has been a long time trend but its trajectory is getting better. Unreal Poke is a great example because while there are spots that are chaining from popular areas like Hawaii, Unreal is creating its own force. It's not caught up by toppings, multiple bases, or sauces but showcasing what poke should always showcase-- The fish and the ode to the culture it comes from. We got the shoyu ahi tuna and the spicy salmon. Loved both but the tuna was a perfect savory chunk of a bite! Onion, green onion, and shoyu mixed with a little seaweed salad, crabmeat, mini spoonful scoop of rice all atop some crunchy seaweed I had at home. Mmm. The salmon was also good but in this particular case because of how fresh the ingredients are, the less saucier, the better I say... And trust any of my close friends when I say that I am the sauce queen of most friend groups. So, to say less sauce means that the fish is that good without being to flashy from sauce. The creaminess of the spicy salmon and the crunch from the masago was good but I feel like next time, I want to taste the salmon more than its complimented sauces. A solid poke bowl is one that makes you crave for less sauces and more of just the fish itself and the very few small additions just to really round out one bite to the next. A little crunch, some chew, some extra umami hits (but not too much!), and a quick piece of ginger to freshen the next bite. We also got a two musubis to go. The only thing we wanted to have some more of was their mac salad but they were about finished with it by the time we got there. I tried two flights with 6 different poke flavors. All of them were tasty but since they only sell tuna, unfortunately made it taste more similar across the board despite the variety so hard to say which was my favorite. The flights did not come with any sides so I added a Mac salad and a crab salad. I did not like the crab salad at all. It lacked variety in texture and was super fishy. The Mac salad was only ok, thought the pasta was too soft and overcooked. Probably a personal preference. It's a small shop with a small lot but there is also plenty of street parking in the area. Gorgeous, delicious, and fresh poke! I've been absolutely obsessed with Unreal Poke for their soft opening. If you don't want to read, bottom line is to go. Its delicious, fresh, and sooo satisfying. The shop is in a pretty busy plaza so I suggest coming down Arcadia Ave and turning into the parking lot there OR finding street parking on Arcadia Ave. The shop is pretty small, but theres a surprisingly a decent amount of seating inside. Their staff is super friendly, ready to answer any questions you have about their poke and sides! Onto their poke, which is always fresh and a rotating menu of flavors, its a bit on the expensive, but definitely worth the price. My favorite flavors so far have been their garlic crunch and their ginger scallion! They also sometimes have salmon poke (again, its a rotating menu so they don't always have every flavor available) which I'm excited to try. Their sides are also super yummy, I always get the crab salad with my poke bowl. For their sweet potato mash (the purple stuff!) is a MUST TRY! Super filling and tasty, I would recommend trying it at least once. By all means go support this local business that is kanaka owned! My wife and I stopped by Unreal Poke on a Sunday afternoon after originally trying it at a family get together, and wow, this place absolutely lives up to its name. Their poke is truly "unreal." I can honestly say it's the best poke I've had in the mainland U.S. and would easily compete with many of the top poke shops in Hawaii. I visit Hawaii every 1 to 2 years, including Oahu, Maui, and the Big Island, and always make it a point to eat poke whenever I'm there, so that's saying a lot. On our most recent visit, we ordered two regular poke bowls. Bowl #1 had Shoyu Ahi and Garlic Ahi Crunch with Seaweed Salad. Bowl #2 had Ahi Ginger Scallion and Garlic Ahi Crunch with Uala Mash. The fish was incredibly fresh and high quality, comparable to what you'd find in Hawaii. This is not the lower quality fish that some poke shops around the LA area use. Every bite tasted premium. The Shoyu Ahi was my favorite because of its rich umami flavor. The Ginger Scallion Ahi was also outstanding and very unique. It reminded me of the classic ginger scallion sauce served with Hainan chicken, but paired with fresh ahi. I've also tried the Furikake Ahi during a family get together and loved that one as well. The Uala Mash deserves special mention. It's something you don't see at most poke shops and was a fantastic complement to both the poke and rice. Definitely give it a try if you've never had it before. Beyond the food, the service was top notch. From the moment we walked in, we felt the true "ohana" spirit as the cashier and owner were very friendly/helpful. The wait time was also quick, about 10 to 15 minutes, which was great for a Sunday afternoon. The Hawaiian music and decor instantly transported us back to Hawaii, and the atmosphere felt like an authentic neighborhood poke shop on the islands. The owner is from the Big Island, and it shows. We always get the poke island style after Jordan recommended to us and we're so glad he did! Island style adds even more umami and a nice crunchy texture to the poke. Their rice is always cooked perfectly and the sides are all delicious and compliments the poke. Our go to side is the seaweed salad. We've also had the purple potato mash and macaroni salad and enjoyed them as well! They also offer really good Spam Musubi! Every person that has helped us here has been kind and welcoming. Arcadia new Hawaiian poke spot! We ordered spicy ahi and soy furikake but somehow got the entire fish with soy furikake. I guess the guy didn't hear the first part and we didn't understand the receipt. So we asked him about it and was expecting to get a side of the sauce but he ended up giving us an extra container of the spicy ahi! What an amazing customer service. Their fish is also very fresh and delicious. Portion is VERY generous as well. If you don't want to wait in line for the other viral poke spot in Pasadena, just come here!!!
