Horrible,Horrible,Horrible experience with this business. Ordered a drum booster for a buick Riviera 1963 online on 03/14/2023. No shipping information provided nor shipping date. 18 days later I tried calling them after 1 hour and 20 minutes of wait time. The representative says oh the part that you paid for, yes paid for because their QUICK to take my money is not available right now. So that means that if I didnt take the initiative to call I would still be waiting to hear from them. then he proceeded to suggest another part which according to him it will fit my car perfect. Again after 10 more days the part finally arrives ONLY TO BE THE WRONG PART... I have made so many attempts to call so I can get my money back and purchase this part somewhere else but i keep getting the run around. your employees keep passing on the buckett. Stay away from this business..... I placed a pre-paid order for will call to pick up at POL. I was informed all parts were available with the exception of a rag joint for my steering. These were time sensitive parts and was told the rag joint would be available in one week. One week passed and was told they did not know when the rag joint would be available and a power steering pitman arm that was supposedly available when the order was placed was not in stock. I cancelled my order and 2 days later the charge for my parts was posted to my credit card account. I called a the counter person said the charge would be reversed in 3 to 4 business days. Fast forward to two weeks later, I now have to dispute the credit card charge that was NOT reversed. Highly disappointed read more

Should have read the other reviews before ordering. Ordered some ball joints. 4 days later, still not shipped. Sent an email asking when they would be shipped, no reply. Called and was told they had to wait for them because they weren't in stock, and the website does not keep track of whats currently in inventory. Was told they just received the parts today, but would still take at least 4-5 for them to bother getting them shipped out. Cancelled order and was told would be 4-5 to get my money back. read more

I emailed them twice and it took them over a week to get back saying they wouldn't be shipped for another 3 weeks. I told them to cancel my order and refund me. Terrible experience with this company. Was told 5 times my order was being shipped over the last 5 and half weeks, yesterday Mike guaranteed me as soon as we hung up he was going to go put the one part they did have on the conveyor to be shipped, and the other part would be about a week until it came back in stock. Today I find out that not only did Mike not do what he promised but the other part that I ordered doesn't even really exist! What is it doing on your website then?!? Why did it take 3 emails, 5 phone calls, and i don't know how many of your employees to figure this out?!? Its great that all the customer service reps are extremely pleasant but they just lie to customers about when orders will be shipped. There are many such complaints through bizrate surveys. I have had the same experience as a previous review regarding the fitment of a gas tank. Somehow I have a strange truck that is the only one that the tank dosent fit. I spent over a week sending endless photos only to experience absolutely no response from the vendor.$522 and I have parts that don't fit together or fit the intended installation. Incendenatally, I contacted the vendor prior to purchase to verify fitment to my truck and their response was "this tank will fit your truck". As stated by a previous review, pay the extra money and buy from a more reputable vendor. read more

I bought a 2" drop spindle kit for my 73 Formula Firebird from their eBay store, kit #CBKD7078 - Complete 2" Drop Spindle Front Disc Brake Conversion Kit. So many things wrong with this kit that's not disclosed or unknown by them. First off they sent the wrong rotors, I ordered the drilled and slotted ones, got the plain Jane. Then the fire wall seal for the booster didn't even come close to fitting, way to long. Was told to cut it down to fit. Unfortunately cutting it down didn't work, will most likely end up leaking if I leave it like they suggested. Proportioning valve bracket is wrong as well. I will need to provide my own extension to reach existing rear brake line. Booster push rod clevis that comes in the kit is nowhere close to right. They sent a second that will not fit either. Even after I sent a Pontiac assembly pic of what's needed. Also sent a pic of the old booster push rod and brake peddle assembly. The whole time Rick kept telling me this kit was specifically engineered for my car, insinuating that I was the idiot or there was something wrong with my formula. Push rod and clevis is still not resolved, probably have to make my own since it's sooo complicated.... Stock rotor cover will not fit new spindles either. This is not disclosed in kit discription. Had to leave them off for now after they already been restored. Bummer part of the whole thing is I won't get to drive it for another 8-10 months so I won't know the full extent of this crappy fitment and possibly crappy function. Lastly they ask to contact them before leaving a bad review, left several messages through eBay, never once got a reply. I had to call direct. Talk to 2-3 people before talking with rick. Everytime I called and was told that I would get a call back with some answers the next day. 2-3 days would go by with no call. Would have to call back and explain all over again to someone else. Ridiculous to say the least.. I spoke with Rick the last half dozen time with basically the same results. Lack of truly understanding or caring about the costumers issues. You really do need to look at the design of the booster seal and pushrod clevis or disclose that mods will need to be made. I will have to say the parts look really nice, but I'm looking for function AND form not just form. I really hate leaving bad reviews but you left no choice in my eyes. read more

Be aware every positive review of this dumpster fire of a business is from California, where the business is located. I spent $4k on parts for a 1961 GMC, and with some parts not shipped, I called to find out where they were. First contact was alright, but never heard back on when my order would be in. Called again this morning, and was hung up on by their awesome sales staff. I called Ididit, and my steering column was ordered 10 DAYS AFTER MY ORDER WAS PROCESSED. NOT ORDERED, PROCESSED. Update: I am going to give them 3 stars for now since after posting my review I was contacted by JC, their general manager and he got me my refund. I can't in good conscience change it to 5 since it did take 2 months to get our refund. We will use performance online in the future and see how things go. I am hoping I can update to 5 stars in the future. I would like to see that the lower management is given more leeway to handle things immediately with their customers. I forwarded all communications to JC so he could see where the breakdown occurred and hopefully rectify it for the future.It should not take 2 months to get a refund. I appreciate the swift action JC took in getting a check to us, and it is because of him that we will continue to buy parts for our business from Performance Online. I've bought three items from POL/Western Chassis over the past year. Two items shipped promptly and one was back ordered for five weeks. I did have a fit problem with that last item, a sway bar However, after exchanging a few e-mails with JC, he shipped me a new one the next day, and will pay for return freight. I would have gone with 5 stars but having to wait on hold for over 45 minutes to speak to a real person on 2 different occasions ruined that. However, once I got to speak to someone I was given good customer service, had all of my questions answered and was offered to place the order right over the phone. One and 1/2 days later I received my Chevelle's intermediate steering shaft. It was easy to assemble and install and all the parts were high quality. there stuff is junk I waited on hold for 1 hour just to be cut off. I bought a power rack for a 1958 gmc truck. There machining sucks there welding sucks. Why would you take a shaft turn it down then thread it to make it weaker. the ball joints are smaller then my lawn mower has. then the carter pin is no where the bolt lands there spacer for the lower steering bearing is sloppy as hell. and no help read more

This is by far the worst auto parts store I have ever dealt with. I have been trying to get a order status for the last two weeks. Every time I speak with someone they tell me they just received the parts in the warehouse. And somehow it's always going to be shipped out the next day. But then when I check again three or four days later, once again the part just got in stock and in their inventory and they're going to ship it out the next day. This has gone on for three weeks. My dad ordered a brake conversion kit back in March 2021 that includes about a dozen parts. It took several weeks to receive the first shipment and a few more weeks to receive a few more shipments without any tracking information being provided. I think they do this so the customer has no record to reference when orders aren't received. He then received an email that his order was complete. It was not. He only received about half the order. He called to discuss and was told a manager would get back to him, which never happened. He was reached by email later asking what parts were missing after which he responded with a complete list. Responses eventually stopped being returned. He has had to now order parts from a different retailer so that he can finish his project. Do not order any parts from this company. I would assume a company would want to defend themselves and prove that an order shipped and do what is needed to locate it but this company has no interest in doing that. If the order shipped but was lost, I myself would want to make sure that my companies reputation is not damaged and contact the shipping company for answers. I ordered the shock relocation kit. No where did it state that the kit or the vehicle would need to be modified. The add actually said complete bolt on. But it isn't, holes would have to be drilled and tapped. I contacted POL and like every one else has said, send us pics of this and that, which I did. They then Said to send it back, but at my cost, which is $81 dollars. Plus they are going to charge me a restocking fee of 10 to 20%. I've called them and explained to them several times that it's not fair to charge me for something that they should have let me know before hand. BOTTOM LINE, THEY DONT CARE!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!! I purchased, or so I thought, front and rear bilstein shocks for my fathers 1969 roadrunner last Friday. I spoke with the employee on the phone who said the shocks were in stock and going to be drop shipped from bilstein directly. Well I never received any shipping or tracking info to my email so I called back today to see what the status of my order was as I was hoping to obviously get it in time for Christmas. I talked with a different employee who told me the shocks were on back order for the next 3-4 weeks and would not be available until then. This was a crushing blow as I no longer have anything to put under the Christmas tree this year for my father. When I explained my frustration to the employee about how they dropped the ball he said "we did kind of drop the ball". Not kind of, you did. I was never given a phone call or email explaining of the back order and if I hadn't called back today I'd be waiting for the next couple weeks and if I'd known they were on back order I would've ordered them from one of a half dozen other companies. Lastly, when you drop the ball like you did, usually you want to compensate the person with some sort of incentive to keep their order with you... seeing if it can be ordered through a different manufacturer, a discounted price, gift card or something along those lines. None of that was offered. I'll take my business elsewhere and if someone asks me down the line if I'd recommend this company I'd say hell no. read more

I placed an order from this place on a Wednesday. I picked 2 day shipping for $98. Said it would be at my house Friday. I was worried because they do have something saying shipping dates are not guaranteed. So i emailed them letting them know i needed it by a certain date. No response. Instead later that day got a shipping confirmation saying my item would arrive the following Monday. They had not responded to my email or tried to contact me. And when i got ahold of them about my issue they could care less and acted like it was my fault. They basically stole my $98 and shipped regularly. Do not order from here. JC would not refund my returned parts that were manufactured wrong and could not be used. Purchased power steering conversion kit AND disc brake conversion kit for 1973 NOVA. PS kit worked fine but Caliper Mounting Bracket was manufactured wrong and would not work. Fought with people, including JC, and they shipped us a 2nd kit. It was the same, but they had bent some parts to try to make it work. The caliper bracket would not align with the rotors. After more arguing, they FINALLY issued a return goods authorization and we shipped the parts back expecting a refund. They refused refund on basis parts were 'used". Well, duh, one has to install the parts and try them to find out there is a problem and they wouldn't work. Tried to call back buy JC "was out of the office" and would not return my call. Crooks. I won't ever use them, or, recommend them to anyone. read more
