I again explained that I had simply overlooked the flavor change, but he rudely responded that it was "right there" and continued by saying, "We don't waste food around here." At that point, I decided to walk away and remove myself from the situation. I dumped the ice cream because I wasn't going to pay for something that was an honest mistake and that I didn't enjoy. When we finished and went to check out with a very kind young employee, the owner came out from the back, saw the ice cream I had dumped, and attempted to charge me for it. I politely replied that I would not be paying for that. His response was simply that we could leave. I have never had an issue like this at the Webster location. This owner should consider taking a class on customer service or even anger management. There were many ways this situation could have been handled calmly and respectfully, but instead it was met with unnecessary hostility. It was a very bad look for what is supposed to be a "family business."
