This place is pretty cool, we ordered the cotton candy in the stitch theme. Crazy how they put it together the way they do. It's a bit of a wait because it takes them a while to make it. Probably about 5 minutes so if there is a few people ahead of you you'll be waiting a little while. It costs us $22 for the theme we picked, it is pricey but a good experience, especially for kids.

We came to Polar Playground to celebrate my daughter's friend's birthday, and it was such a fun experience! The highlight was definitely their cotton candy creations -- they are sooooo creative! The staff can turn cotton candy into adorable character designs, and the kids were amazed. Any color a child can think of, they can make it happen It's a super unique treat and perfect for making a special day feel extra memorable. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to add something fun and magical to a celebration. One small suggestion: the space itself is a bit on the smaller side, so it may be challenging to host larger birthday parties. It would be even more amazing if the location were in a bigger mall, busy plaza, or kids' playground area that could better accommodate group celebrations. Overall, the kids loved it, the experience was joyful, and the cotton candy art alone makes it worth the visit!

    Sooo cute!

I've seen on social media this place and it's right next to my favorite banana matcha place Brewstory. We walked in and stood and watched the show. The 2 guys behind the bar are extremely talented. We stood and watched for about 15 minutes. These were the characters that were produced. It's such a cute idea and a very welcoming atmosphere. We got there close to opening, just a few people but I can imagine the line gets long . If you can find someone who likes cotton candy, this is the place to go. I believe the cost is about $18-$20.

My friend was in town with her 7 and 9 year old so being the fun Auntie I am, we ventured down to Huntington Beach to Polar Playground. They have a variety of desserts and fun treats but we came for their character cotton candies. How do we not have a character creating cotton candy shop in Los Angeles proper?! This is genius and I'm obsessed with Polar Playground~! Good news for those of you also driving down from the city, there is parking! They have a parking lot full of spots, yay. We've heard of long waits on socials before coming and although the shop was crowded, not overly so and no egregious waits. I think we waited 20 minutes for them to start our orders but we had so much fun in those 20 minutes watching others get Stitches, Rainbow Unicorns, Elmo ~ all these other characters we didn't order. So it was an enjoyable wait kinda like a Disneyland queue. We had a lot to look at while we waited. It was so hard to choose which character to get...I wanted them all. All the more reason for me to come back! But I ended up choosing Eeyore for myself and he was sooooo cute and adorable and gloomy ~ just perfect. My nieces got AmongUs & Carnage - I was shocked neither picked the Labubu which you can get in any color - fascinating children. The cotton candy was actually delicious also! I honestly thought I would just take a photo and enjoy the artistic elements but --- I couldn't stop munching away at the dissolving candy treat. They have limited hours, open from 1-7/8pm, just Thursday to Sunday. Here's hoping for longer hours and more locations because Polar Playground is awesome! I'm absolutely entranced!

The staff here are amazing and talented. They learn on the job and so creative with the details. Three of them worked together on creating pink labubu (you can pick any color bụt my niece wanted strawberry) and Super Sonic. Took 10 mins. Not many tables inside. Maybe 5? That would be difficult if it's crowded and only a few families could be accommodated. If you take left overs home, they will give you a giant clear bag. Use the machine next to the trash can as it shoots up air for you to tie.

One of the most unique places I've been for dessert. I've been wanting to go here forever with my grandkids, so we finally got to try these spectacular cotton candy desserts. The service is excellent. You do stand in a long line, then you pay the register for what you want, and then when they call your name, you go up to the glass and you watch them make your spectacular creature out of cotton candy. Each color of cotton candy is different tasting. My grandkids were so excited and impressed by these superb creations. It is super expensive for a cotton candy, dessert, but you have to take your kids, grandkids, or your child-self here at least once.

What a cool experience ! We got a milkshake and it was absolutely delicious. The concept of the shaped cotton candy is very cool. We didn't get any but saw many being made. They have an extensive list of characters and they can also make most things if you have a picture. We also saw them package one up in a plastic bag for a lady to take to go. Def a fun experience for kids and adults!

Today I took my boys to Polar Playground to celebrate last day of school. They were so exited about it. They enjoyed watching the artist create their characters. Inside was clean they had water cups and napkins on the counter ready for all customers. I loved the 3D printed holders. I gave 4 stars only because it was a bit pricey. Of course I respect the talent but if it was a little bit cheaper we would go more often not only for special occasions.

Great dessert place to try with your kids. They sell character cotton candy and ice cream. I personally like their chocolate ice cream - it tastes like dark chocolate. Their ube ice cream doesn't really taste like real ube and tastes artificial. Their cotton candy turned out so cute and really huge. I like that it isn't super sweet and each cotton candy color has its corresponding flavor.

Absolutely adorable! It's basically a sugar paradise, haha! (Diabetes at it's finest!) lol I was at Brew Story one day and couldn't resist checking out the place next door. The customer service was fabulous, and it was a blast watching the team whip up these amazing creations! Sully from Monsters Inc. Please note you'll be paying at least $23 for 1.

Such a cute store! The wait time on a Sunday morning was short and we were able to order and get our character within 10 min. The staff are super friendly and kind and they really know how to make their cotton candy look so cute! Overall loved the place and the different designs that were made! We ordered Cookie Monster and Olaf. Both came out so adorable and our kids ate them up so fast! Thank you so much!

I've been trying to come to this place for forever and omg it's so worth it. My kids loved watching them make the character cotton candy and they did it really quickly. The candy tastes pretty good as well. Only thing to note is that there's a lot of sugar floating through the air. Otherwise the inside is nice and clean and very open.

Stopped in on a Thursday when kids were off of school and no line around 1:30pm. I've been wanting to take the kids here forever and it didn't disappoint. They call your name before they start making it so you can watch. It is so cool and they do an amazing job with the artwork! Would go again 10/10.

How long is the wait line?

It depends on the day and time. Weekends the lines are longest. The good thing is there is a great matcha place next door while you wait.

Is there still wait? How long can the cotton candy it last?

There is always a long wait yes. About 1 day or 2 depends cause as soon as you start eating it you won’t want to stop it tastes so good lol

Are the colors all-natural? (I know, not likely)

    No.

Is it still have 2 hr lines?

Yes, sometimes. But I got there right when it opened and I waited 15min. It's all in timing.

Hi, is it possible to order cotton candy characters ahead of time for a birthday party in the same way we order birthday cakes? If this is possible what is the minimum and maximum I can order? Thank you

They recommended you eat it there because it's climate controlled inside the business. Once it leaves the building they can't guarantee it will hold up. I wouldn't recommend it.

How much are the character cotton candys?

    They range from $14-$16

How long does the cotton candy creation keep its shape?

Not long at all, by the time we walked out towards the car, it started to melt. I think it's primarily driven by weather conditions. This is not the same kind of cotton candy as you'll find in an amusement park, it's ultra thin. Let's say it was a…

Are customers able to pre-order cotton candy characters to pick up rather than watch being made?

No. I asked. No phone orders or reservations.

Is the wait crazy even on school days? What if I arrived at 12:30 on a Wednesday that is a school day?

People get there an hour early just to get in line since there is limited tickets they give out for "characters"of the day made cotton candy. Those tickets run out fast. With the tickets they give you a time(reservation) to come back in order for…

How much are the characters and do they take cards or cash only?

As of 2021 Jan: it's about $11-14 per character

Can we ask for a certain character or do they have a menu?

They don't have a list so you can definitely ask for a certain character. They can do pretty much anything!…

    How much is it?

The cotton candy creations start at $10. They go up from there depending on complexity! Totally worth it imo!
