If you are returning customer it seems they treat you a little bit better, but how do you want to make new customers if you treat your new customers not so well? After completing the dipping powder today, I asked Michelle if would clean up around the tips. She barely touched them then ignored when I asked again. Several nails are different lengths and some nail tips are squared and some are rounded. Today's visit with Michelle was a disappointment after going there for many years. I have been going to the Polish Room now a handful of times. This last experience was by far the best. I had an SNS dip done and they turned out fantastic. The lady who did my nails I believe her name was Twee (sorry if I misspelt that). She was quick, but efficient. She didn't rush at all with doing them and made sure they turned out exactly how I wanted. The shape is on point and so is the smoothness of them. Very clean and hard working staff, only thing I might add is i felt rushed and I feel like my nails would've looked better if more time had been taken on them. It's so close to my house so I find myself coming here for convenience but nearly every time left disappointed. This was the same. Backstory: I dislike pedicures, I always have bruises or blisters from hiking or heels and pedicures are painful and not enjoyable. So I do SNS for my nails and just a polish change for my feet. They judge and look down on you for only doing a polish change (only $9 usually $10 this time still way cheaper than anything else). No appointment took 20 min to get me. I asked for white and the tech told me the white I picked was cream colored and wanted to verify if I really wanted that or just white. I think there was a language barrier and I didn't want to bug him by picking something so I said the color I picked is fine. Turns out it was liquidy and sheer and looked awful to the point the color slid onto the side of my toes. I sent a picture to my friend and she agreed it looked bad so I asked to get another layer or something to make them look better. They had me wait another 20 min (busy day so I was patient) the manager came out and did my toe nails all Over again. She said she will try her best but because I didn't get a full pedicure it may not look good and that next time to tell the tech I want white because they have that color on hand and it is not on their display. Although it looked much much better I didn't like how I was treated inferior because I just wanted a color change. PS I get my SNS done at Herbal Nails because every time they are done here it gets bubbles. Now they will get all my business even though they are 20 min away and this place was only 5. read more

Like us all, been getting mani-pedi's for awhile. Just moved to area so checked Polish Room out as is near me. When I booked appt, told them was my 1st time. When I went to pay, cashier said " you cannot put tip on charge amount" and must pay the tip in cash. Should be stated up front on appt booking if first time. Luckily I had cash! Was quoted 33.00 for both on phone, and it really is busy and kinda cattle call vibe. Tried their upgrade and not worth it - pedi is what is basic everywhere else, not worth the 8.00 upgrade - some lotion and a rub and that's it. Mani was done in about 15 minutes, tech standing at the chair rapidly running through it. Both took 30 minutes. Bummer, gotta find somewhere else now next time, don't recommend. read more

I've never been the type to leave a review on places, but i downloaded this app specifically just for this salon. I love going to the Pinnacle Peak location, and rarely go to this location. Two days ago I got my nails done, and today one of my acrylics broke off. (I've never had any nails break off before.) I went to go get it fixed which they do for free, but both times I was there the receptionist was not friendly for no reason. She just seemed annoyed that she had to do her job. Right when I sat down to get my nail fixed, the nail tech cut my nail too short and made under my nail bleed. She didn't apologize or acknowledge what happened, she just decided to put acetone over it and ignore the problem. My finger was stinging like crazy, and still she did not say anything about the blood, she was just being more gentle. My fixed nail is obviously uneven as well, but I'm not the type to cause a scene so I just left after it was all done. Time and time again this location is disappointing, I highly suggest going to a different location/ salon. read more

I live right by this salon and used to love going there. Always did a great job and I love how they remodeled the store. Unfortunately now I'm not sure if it's because they are short staffed or what, but it's always a 20+ minute wait and by the time you are seen, it's rushed because they are trying to hurry up and get to the next person. Pricier pedicure- they advertise 10 mins of massage with classic pedi but I timed them and it was 4. Generally hard to trust the integrity of their claims. I dropped in yesterday mid day on a weekday and had to wait. I was not offered water like the woman next to me. Nice place though. I tried this place for the first time last weekend, and I have a great experience! They're open till 7pm, and I walked in about 6:10pm. Had a great pedicure! They had a good selection of polish in the front to choose from. The stylest that did my pedicure was professional and did an awesome job! A week later and the polish still looks fresh. The polish room is now nice! When I originally moved to the area I tried it out and was not impressed. The new management has remodeled and it is now a beautiful place to relax and enjoy your chosen service. The front staff is great. They have a large polish color selection. I would love to see them establish a "loyalty card" like some of the other local shops. I prefer to make an appointment and am always seen promptly at my appointment time. I went in to get a fill for the pink and white nails i had gotten there before. The nail tech, Kim, said that my nails were too lifted for her to fill them and said she could remove them and do a coffin full set with gel for $45. I said she could and she proceeded to cut my nails short and rip them off using a clipper and nail tip. It was very painful and I expressed that to her but she kept going. She then cut my thumb so that it was bleeding and she had to hold a tissue to it but said it was "just a scratch" and wanted to keep going. After I told her to stop she kept insisting that it was fine and it wasn't until I told the manager that she decided to stop and soak off the rest of my nails (which is the proper way to remove acrylics). Even after this she kept trying to get me to do a full set on top of my damaged, bleeding nails. She even said that the glue from the tips would "seal" the nails and help them heal. The same bacteria filled glue that they use on many people. I refused and she took off my nails and filed my natural ones. She cleaned the cut using alcohol and I was given a $10 gift certificate. I have never had a problem like this here before, but after this I don't think I'll back unless its with my usual nail tech. read more

Not completely impressed. The decor was pretty and staff was nice. Unfortunately, they didn't seem to understand when a mom walks in with her daughter, chances are they want to have the time together - not me get my toes done while she gets her nails. I saw a few moms in the same boat during my time there. I was also disappointed in that when I'm asking for a mani-pedi for my daughter I don't want a quick soak, lotion slapped on and nails painted. I want the full experience for her. She's 9, not 2. I also don't understand how nobody seems to get the fact that people want a good foot massage. Why waste so much time on the calf when I'd much rather that time be spent on my feet. Perhaps some are okay with it, but it would be nice to ask. It's not that difficult to comprehend why this would be desired. It seems to be a trend now and I'm not digging it. I felt I was pressured into getting the most expensive pedicure because I requested a good foot massage. A few minutes later another woman sat down and asked for the classic with extra time on the massage. I'd be more than willing to pay a little more, but I don't care about waxes and such. The nail art is lacking too. Consider yourself warned. Also, when you don't make it easy to give a tip, chances are you won't get one. I don't carry cash or checks on me. Sorry. read more
