Stopped here for lunch in late morning on a busy Saturday. We parked on the adjacent side street. Considering how busy they were we were seated fairly quickly in the original part of this smallish restaurant (they also offer a tent with space heaters). We ordered drinks which were served within ten minutes and ordered an eggs Benedict as well as egg and sausage plate. The food was also served relatively promptly. The staff was friendly and attentive. Both meals were good although my wife thought her sausage patties a bit dry. The overall dining experience was good even with the crowd, we will likely return.

Today, we came in after the big breakfast rush, so there was plenty of comfortable seating throughout the restaurant. They have a specials menu that changes with the month. Everything on the menu is innovative, and an upgrade from whatever ordinary breakfast you're used to. Our waitress served up fresh hot mugs of coffee for us, and explained that their loyalty program was moving to a Phone app. Unfortunately, we would not be able to use our Wallet card which had three punches on it already. Today I ordered a Cali chicken club wrap, which was a very delicious mix, chopped chicken breast, romaine, wedges of avocado, and bacon with a nice ranch dressing, all in a soft tortilla wrap. For my side, I chose coleslaw. My food is so delicious, no complaints here. My handsome dining companion got the Pork Belly Hash with sweet potato tots, and two eggs OE and toast. I did sneak my fork across the table to grab a chunk of pork belly which made my eyes roll back into my head. My next bite was one of the deep fried sweet potato tots. Very delicious, but I can't make a habit out of anything deep fried anymore. All of this deliciousness came our way for under 40 bucks. Thankfully, we had a nice Christmas gift certificate from one of the grandkids. We do highly recommend any of the Poked Yolk locations.

Amy was our assigned waitress, and she was just killing it! She handled us with such perfection and professionalism, and a beautiful smile on her face. She's definitely my favorite server. Everyone ordered off the menu so there were a lot of moving pieces. I ordered the roast beef on kümmelweck roll. The weck roll was generously salted and covered in caraway. The bun was lightly grilled in butter, which really makes for a great sandwich. The beef was piled high, it was tender, but it was well done. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this sandwich. Wasn't too busy for a weekend breakfast, food came out fast enough and the server was friendly. Food was ok; poached eggs on the Benedict were way over done, my omelette was luke warm. While waiting, we had to know the history of why it's called Iron Kettle Landmark Restaurant. Sure enough, we found that and a lot more. It's been around since the late forties, changed ownership a few times over the years, but current ownership is the reason neither of us will return. After learning of the current owner's legal problems, we quietly paid our bill, in cash for the 4% discount, thanked our server and left. I can't conscientiously recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially those with young daughters.

Parking and Main Street is extremely difficult due to the popularity of these places so we parked down behind the store in a large community parking lot and walked up through the alley to the front door. If only those people out on the street knew what they were missing, they would give up their spot in line and join us at this great little restaurant instead! 189 Burger is well known for its expansive beer menu, but we were only interested in the burgers. I was intrigued by the description of the Bang Bang Burger. It came topped with Bang Bang sauce, cheddar cheese and Calabrian butter and crispy onions. Absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the Greek burger, a masterpiece with Tzatziki , lemon ginger, jalapeño, red pepper, chickpea pesto, and pickled red onions, seeded bun! Scrumptious!

Such a fun way to celebrate gratitude, friendship, and, of course, cake. And this cake did not disappoint! We had so much fun anticipating what the flavor of the month would be. Since I'm a fan of cream cheese frosting, my friend requested that it be put in the middle, which I loved. The cake itself wasn't overly sweet, had a wonderfully tender crumb, the perfect tartness from the lemon, and was topped with big, fresh blackberries. Already looking forward to doing this again!

She stated the food and coffee were excellent. I went with the Blue Eyed Classic which was scrambled eggs (perfectly creamy and fluffy), a sausage patty, diced potatoes, and sourdough toast with butter, along with a cold brew. It hit the spot.
