Everyone ordered off the menu so there were a lot of moving pieces. I ordered the roast beef on kümmelweck roll. The weck roll was generously salted and covered in caraway. The bun was lightly grilled in butter, which really makes for a great sandwich. The beef was piled high, it was tender, but it was well done. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this sandwich. It's been around since the late forties, changed ownership a few times over the years, but current ownership is the reason neither of us will return. After learning of the current owner's legal problems, we quietly paid our bill, in cash for the 4% discount, thanked our server and left.
