I keep seeing Riley's pop up on Seize the Deal, so I grabbed another voucher since we're always next door at the rink for sports (and usually making a stop at BEB for scones). Not going to lie, it's nearly impossible to sit through a lacrosse game while smelling burgers from this place the entire time. We came by on a Sunday and took advantage of their kids' meal special: $5 including a drink, which is a really solid deal. We ordered burgers (split with my fellow burger lover) and chicken fingers for two of the kids, and the food definitely hit the spot after a long day when everyone was starving. The burgers were decent, though I would have loved slightly larger patties and a few more topping option. I'm all about an over-the-top handheld, so maybe that's just me. My only real disappointment was the fry portion size; I must have been spoiled on my first visit when my meal came with an overload of fries. One of my favorite features is the patio, especially during nicer weather. Service was good, and I appreciated the little outdoor station stocked with condiments and water, which was a thoughtful touch for patio diners. First visit today. We frequent East Aurora often, not sure why we haven't stopped before. Glad we finally did. The food was great. We started with stuffed banana peppers. They had a nice kick. My husband had chicken parmesan and I had chicken piccata. Each came with soup or salad. Servings were generous. Personally though I would have preferred a couple smaller pieces of chicken which probably would have been more tender. Tara was our server. She was wonderful. We came during an off time on a Saturday, but service was kind of slow since they didn't have many people working. We sat inside but there was also outdoor seating and bar seating. I have eaten here many times. This time was terrible. My fries were cold. I told the waitress and she brought back hot pieces that were from the bottom of the basket. Way too greasy. The Rachel had slimy turkey and the cheese was not melted. The bread was hardly toasted. Went last night for a fish fry during Lent. Made a reservation for 7:30, but we didn't get seated until 8pm. We ordered the chicken wontons as an app. They were delicious! It took a long time for our fish fries to come out. I got the battered and my husband had the breaded. They were large pieces of fish, but didn't taste like much. The breading overpowered the fish. It was served with fries which were good and a small amount of macaroni salad. My husband upgraded to onion petals, but they were served cold. Our waitress didn't come over again after dropping off our meals so they went uneaten. We got a packet of butter, but no bread. They did end up removing one of our beverages and gave us 15% off for the wait. We might return for a drink, but I think we're done eating here. read more

We went to Riley Street Station on Thursday and were pleasantly surprised to find out it was half-price burger night. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn't live up to the deal. Our waitress was friendly, but she forgot one person's salad and another person's soup that were supposed to come with their dinners. The rest of us ordered burgers, and she asked each of us how we wanted them cooked. Every single burger came out well done, regardless of what we ordered. Also took her 5 minutes to bring out the food to the table. When we mentioned it, the explanation was that the kitchen had new cooks who "can't cook." That's an excuse I've heard too many times at restaurants. Training the kitchen is management's responsibility, not the customer's problem. We still paid for meals that weren't prepared as ordered. Overall, it felt disorganized, and the food and service didn't meet expectations. While the half-price burgers were a nice surprise, the overall experience was disappointing. We decided to check out this place while we were Christmas Shopping in East Aurora. The place was clean, organized, surprisingly empty, staff was attentive and efficient, and food was decent. My wife ordered a turkey sandwich, whereas I had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. I liked the sauce used on my sandwich, though I wish it was a little more or there was some on the side, as the sandwich was a little dry. I was a huge fan of the fresh cut fries. My turkey club wrap was good; the French fries, not so much. The club had all of the "regular" items in the wrap: turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, Jack cheese and mayo. The fries, on the other hand, seemed a bit old. They were nicely salted, but not crispy and were cut thin so cooled off very quickly. Sweet potato lattice fries could be ordered for an upcharge. A friend did; they were much more flavorful. Service was rather slow, but there was only one waitress working out on the patio. Our table was a party of 7. Update! Since our first we've returned another 5 times. We have met friends there so they were also introduced to the place. One of them praised the bartender for making " the best old fashioned he's ever had". We continue to enjoy the chicken picatta but have tried other dishes as well . I should warn you the Chicken Parm is great but HUGE! I think we took more home than many places serve you initially. No idea what's with the 1 star ratings? IMHO you can tell a lot by the attitude of the staff. Kelly was our server and very friendly and helpful. A new girl started her first day on St. Patrick's weekend which was quite busy. Second time it was to early for a reservation, but was reassured over the phone that a wait for a table wouldn't be long, walked in saw 4 groups waiting for a table and decided not to wait. The third time we walked in at 10:30 PM on a Thursday plenty of room in the bar area accept the two tables and half the bar were full of dirty plates, glasses, ect. for a good 20 minutes. Such a perfect building with a history to have a bar and grill. The beer batter fish fry is one of the best I've had. The only place to serve sidewinder fries. Just when you thought you have seen every combination of fry there you go with sidewinders. French onion and clam chowder was excellent as well. Was in East Aurora shopping and all the cute shops stirred up an appetite in us, so we headed here for a mid-day lunch on a Monday. The place only had about five other tables occupied, so there was plenty of seating for us when our party of six arrived. We were greeted by our waitress who seemed uneasy and then later admitted to being new. We all placed our drink and food orders, and unfortunately, the food that we received was incorrect. I ordered a double order of chicken fingers, but was given a double order of chicken wings. So while everyone else started eating, I had to sit and wait for my food to arrive. The restaurant gave us the wings gratis, which was nice. When my fingers finally did come, they were very good, and very big!
