    3 piece meal $12.30

Now that I've eaten here a couple of times, and my father was pleased with his chicken sandwich, I'm prepared to weigh in. The restaurant is tucked back in the new shopping center in Jurupa Valley, just past In-n-Out when entering from Pyrite. A large parking lot should accommodate any vehicle, and there's also a drive-thru option. The interior is clean and spacious with booths and tables of various sizes, so that's good for big families. Ordering is also quick and easy. I've only tried their fried chicken, but after a 3-piece and sides, and a 2-piece with the revamped rice (other sides tried were macncheese and potato salad), I am a fan. Dad's sandwich was pretty big, especially the chicken itself. He said he'd come back again, which is basically an endorsement from him. I concur, the place is solid. Service is friendly, professional, and pretty fast on both occasions. I'm interested in their grilled chicken option, and trying more on the menu in general.

I've been to Pollo Campero before and usually enjoy their empanadas they're actually really good when they're fresh, but lately they've been hit or miss. Sometimes they come out burnt, which is disappointing. Today I came with my mom and went through the drive-thru (I haven't dined inside yet). We ordered the 4 -piece meal with a side of yuca fries and rice. The chicken was tasty overall, but definitely on the salty side borderline too much. The rice was unfortunately bland with no seasoning or flavor. The biggest letdown was the yuca fries. They were hard to eat literally. Either they were overcooked or had been sitting out too long, but they were super tough and dry. To top it off, we didn't get any napkins or utensils in our bag. We were eating in the car, so I actually had to make a spoon out of the fry container just to eat the rice. Not exactly what I had in mind . There wasn't much of a greeting or friendliness at the drive-thru either not rude, but definitely not warm. I live nearby and really want to like this place. But between the inconsistent food and the lack of care in service, it's just hard to keep coming back.

Tried this chicken for the first time a few weeks ago at a party and really enjoyed it. When I saw this location up and running had to stop by and see if the quality was just as good. Walking in on a weekend the place was packed! No indoor seating was available. There's also umbrella patio seating but it was a bit too hot outside. Friendly welcome and great service. Management was present and in the trenches alongside this hard working team. The staff had a lot going on and all were working together to man this ship! Ordered to go and was pleased to find the chicken was just as juicy with a crispy exterior. Yucca fries are not common so happy to see it as a side option. Had to get some Mac & Cheese in the mix and try some empanadas. The empanadas reminded me of a flauta or chimichanga. Melty cheese, chicken, corn with a nice seasoning. Could definitely use some salsa or spice of your choosing. Overall great first visit! New places need some grace. They're getting a hold of the reins, finding their footing, learning from mistakes and getting into their groove. It's understandable for more than a few hiccups upon start up. I hope they can move forward with gusto!

My wife and MIL stumbled upon this place this week while out shopping in Riverside. We could smell the food from a few stores down and had to try it out. I got the bowl and had to order a side of sweet Plantains too. Everything was so GOOD. The chicken was juicy. My daughter got a side of Mac n Cheese with her meal and loved it. My wife and MIL both enjoyed their 2 piece combo as well. Our food came out quickly and staff checked in on us throughout our visit. In addition we filled out a survey and got two pieces of chicken FREE for each survey filled out. So that will be lunch tomorrow. LOL. We definitely will be back!!

The food tasted very good. However, it is very expensive for what you get. The side portions were very small.

The Ensalada Duranguense and ribeye steak were the stars of the meal. The ribeye was excellent done perfectly and came with delicious extras definitely a five-star surprise. The drinks had great flavor, although, being Mexican, I prefer my drinks like my opinions: a little stiffer. They were good, but they could use a bit more alcohol. The tacos, however, were not a 5 for the price, at a fancy restaurant, I expected something special, but honestly, you're better off buying street tacos and saving your money. Don't order the tacos unless you enjoy paying premium prices for an experience that leaves you wishing you had gone to the taco truck. Overall, the service was great, the drinks were flavorful, and the Ensalada Duranguense and ribeye were fantastic. Just skip the tacos--and ask for Sarah if you visit!

The dining area is a very clean and comfortable. Once seated, an aji verde salsa and cancha was brought to the table. The cancha is a nice touch, the corn is crispy and light. I ordered the Pollo Saltado with an extra portion of rice and a Chicha Morada. The beverage was very refreshing. The meal came out quickly. The chicken was tender and well seasoned with soy without being too salty. There was a fair amount of onions and tomatoes which were stir-fried along with the meat. The fries were freshly made with a light crispy exterior and creamy interior to soak up the saltado sauce. The aji verde salsa was on the spicy side but tasted good as an accompaniment to the dish. There was plenty of sauce from the stir fry for the extra portion of rice I ordered. I plan on ordering the Lomo Saltado next time. The staff were polite and efficient. Plenty of parking in their lot. Definitely on the list for the next time I am in the area.

They give you corn nuts and a spicy sauce on the house. We tried the yuca fries which came with a cheese sauce and it was tasty. The ceviche had a perfect lime tang to it. I've only ever had Mexican ceviche so this one was different but delicious. There was sweet potato, red onion, corn and corn nuts. For the entrees, we tried the pesto pasta with beef. The pesto was a bit heavy but the beef was SOLID. So tender and flavorful especially if you drizzle the spicy sauce they give you at the start of the meal. The other dish we tried was the lomo saltado - beef with rice and fries. Also a very good option if you prefer rice/fries over pasta.

On a sparsely traveled side street that separates the Target parking lot from the 91 freeway, is an attraction that will have you slamming on your brakes and craning your neck to see what the fuss is all about. The day we came, a Sunday afternoon, there were about 10 different, brightly colored trucks lined up along the curb, lights flashing, music blaring, and lines starting to form. You can park your car in the adjacent parking lot, there's plenty of room! Yes, this a very successful food truck according to Yelp. And by far the most patronized truck I saw that day. Inside the tiny galley kitchen are 4 hustling adults, including sweet Isabelle, the food ambassador of a husband and wife duo. I loved her enthusiasm and bright smile. At this point, I want to mention that Columbian taste buds are more finicky than many of their Central and South American brothers. So do not expect hot chile anything. Their palates prefer milder, not spicy foods, even though one of the sauces served with the empanadas was a garlicky, bright, herbal, oily sauce, not unlike the Argentinian chimichurri sauce. They call it aji (ah hē). I find it very addictive. Bandera Paisa - this is a combo plate that features a fat, Columbian chorizo (a non spicy sausage), a pile of moist shredded beef, a large strip of pork belly, white rice, Columbian red beans, a fried egg, avocado, and several pieces of fried sweet plantain. There is also one Cheese Arepa included. This dish can easily be shared by two and is a phenomenal deal and interesting taste adventure. Beef Arepa. This is basically a fried masa pocket substantially filled with their signature shredded beef, then topped with guacamole and white cheese. This is very similar to their beef empanadas, so I would encourage ordering one or the other, not both. It's big. Beef Empanadas (3). This is not your usual empanada. The generous beef filling is made from their sensational slow-cooked, flavorful shredded beef with a hint of corn and vegetables. The pastry is actually made of a coarse grained masa, formed into the traditional moon-shape, then deep-fried. It is heavier and far more filling than what I am accustomed to, but it has a chewy, coarse textured mouth appeal and rich flavor. One order is 3 empanadas. They offer an interesting variety of drinks, the most notable being their iced Columbian coffee (intensely rich, creamy, and sweetened) and a Passion Fruit Slushy that is an exotic fruity perfection. Both are pre-made and served out of a dispenser. Columbiana soda, plus other sodas and juices, are available in bottles and cans. The only downside is the seating. A few wooden tv trays and canvas folding chairs are set up on the uneven dirt adjacent to the sidewalk. It appears that using the sidewalk is off limits for seating. I loved their cute, vibrant Cuban music, but oftentimes it became overwhelming as it competed with another truck's equally loud Mexican music right next to them. That, and the seating, effectively convinced me that eating my food elsewhere was probably a better idea, even though sweet Isabelle was frequently checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Our bill was really reasonable, considering the amount of food we had. It was approx. $42, and there was plenty to bring home for another day.
