    Nuggets and classic sauce

First time trying pollo campero. I got the 6 piece nugget meal. It came with 6 decent size nuggets, a roll, and one side but no drink and that was $11. The flavor was decent but it was a bit salty. I think it's way over priced. I probably wouldnt try them again especially since there isn't a location close to me . The staff was kind and service was good. Short wait time. I went through the drive through so I cant speak to the inside/ambiance but it looks like a newer restaurant.

Campero Chicken Sandwich Meal with some Nuggets - Terrible Pickles

Campero must mean "cooked a while ago" in German. Probably stopping in at 3p on a weekend isn't the best choice for freshness, but the flavors were spot on, so I'll cut them a break from a 3 star review. The chicken combo meal special was $12 and came with a chicken sandwich, fries, 4 nuggets, sauce, and a drink. It was a good deal in comparison to their regular menu prices. I didn't want fries, but this deal had no substitutes. (Now I have Chef's song from South Park in my head) The chicken sandwich was fresh and crispy and delicious with a nice piece of chicken and pickles... but ohhhhh those pickles... blah! They were sweet or bread and butter or something that I didn't want near me. Get that pickle out of my mouth quick! (Don't actually yell that in the store) The fries and nuggets had much to be desired though. They had potential but they were probably made way before they were presented. Like the sandwich, the chicken was moist and flavorful, but the breading was a bit stale. Same with the fries, the first few were OK, but they rest sucked. Maybe they do that thing where they serve stale fries and sprinkle some fresh ones on top. They also have grilled chicken (on the bone) which was pretty good and flavorful and tender and juicy. I wish they had a grilled chicken sandwich, but if you want grilled, you'll have to eat it off the bone. It's kinda pricey but I can see myself going back. They have Horchata which you can refill yourself (danger alert as that is liquid crack), the flavors are bold and good, but they have to do something about the freshness.

    3 piece dark meat

Pollo Campero was a pleasant surprise when it comes to fast food fried chicken. It's an easy to find restaurant with good amounts of parking in the lot. The person taking my order greeted me in Spanish, but was capable of taking my order in English as well. The place is clean and tidy and there's honestly nothing to compain about. Getting into the food - I ordered a 3 piece dark meat with fried yuca. I specifically asked for 2 thighs and 1 leg, and they were happy to accommodate. Every order comes with a bun. It was all very delicious. The meat was juicy and the yuca was tasty. I do wish the chicken was slightly bigger or they served a larger portion of the sides. Overall, it's a great choice if you're in the area, need something fast, and are in the mood for fried chicken.

    Empanadas and Mac & Cheese

Flavor: I go for the fried chicken, yuca fries, Mac & cheese, and their custom empanada. Always tasty, sometimes a little heavy on the fried chicken seasoning (tastes salty) but easily fixed with the side roll or bite of yuca fry or Mac & cheese. Will try the chicken sandwich soon. Always seeing people with trays of chicken ... that's what's up. Service: friendly and helpful staff! Made sure to tell me about an empanada deal so always appreciate the heads up. I see other reviews with drive-thru experiences, but I've only always ate-in. Other notes: bright colors all around are fun Location & Parking: always easy to find and enough parking Price: good deals, average price for chicken these days Is it whats up? It's good easy and quick food

This spot was great! The staff was friendly and courteous, and my food came out quickly and fresh. This was my second time visiting this location, and both experiences have been wonderful. I'll definitely be coming back again soon!

The special that apparently doesn't exist.

First time at Pollo Campero, and it was...interesting. I checked their website before heading over, wanting to be quick in the drive-through, and not be "that guy." I saw the Half Chicken Special listed right on top. Perfect, I thought. Pollo is a fairly new fast food place located next to the Johnny Clean carwash, with bright festive paint and patio seating. I pulled up to the drive-through, and the order taker acted like I was asking for something from Mars when I mentioned the Half Chicken Special. Apparently, it doesn't exist. Okay, fine. Not one to argue and starving, I switched to the 4-piece grilled. Then, I was told they had no grilled chicken. If I wanted grilled, it would be a 30-minute wait. The whole point of a drive-through, for me, is speed. Especially after leg day. LEG DAY! 30 minutes? That's a long time. I understand this place is relatively new, so they may be working through some issues. I said thanks, but no thanks. I do enjoy grilled chicken, so I'll probably give Pollo Campero another try in the future, hoping they've smoothed things out. But for now, it was disappointing. Two stars for now, with potential for more later.

I'm from The Bronx & I recall the night before Pollo Campero opened there, the lines wrapped around the block. So when I saw the sign on E. Colonial, I was excited. Waited patiently, and finally, I had it! I like that there's a drive-thru, although with how it took to get my food, I don't know how the drive-thru works. It's fast food but not THAT fast food. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. There is parking both in the front and on the side. I ordered the 2-piece meal, leg & thigh served with a side of your choosing, I chose yucca fries & a dinner roll for $9.20. For the chicken, you also have the choice of fried or grilled. I chose fried. This did not include a drink. I went with the Hibiscus water, $3.00. The prices, in my opinion, The person who took my order was efficient. Pointed the options, like grilled vs fried. And it's not fast food, we waited a good 10mins maybe for our food. The food: The chicken flavor was there. It had great seasoning, and it was juicy. Do wish the skin was crispier, but it could have gotten less crispy on my 10-minute drive home. The yucca fries were dry and hard. In fact, they tasted as if they were old. The dinner roll, tall & fluffy but flavorless. Really, the star of the show is the flavor of the chicken and how well cooked it is. Not greasy at all. I love seasoned food. I may be back for some more chicken only.

Lousy. Tasteless food at spiked prices. Prices on receipt higher than on menu board. First and last.

BUT, the prices at this location are actually $3 more expensive then crazy California! It's wild how expensive it actually is for what you get. Here's the bottom line, the overall is fast food that is hit or miss, as consistency is not necessarily this location's strong suit (yes, Cali transplant from the heart of Pinoy/Jollibee town - Chula Vista/National City.) Overall I think it is just what Jollibee is supposed to be. It's good, not great, but the prices ($60 for a "family meal") are kind of wild. I will say, the pancit palabok is a little more interesting here. The sauce isn't what I remember, but it's still good. Service is reliable for the simple reason that they operate on the premise that they are grateful for your visit and to serve you! One could never complain with that mindset of a popular franchise or chain. The space is nice. It's not classic Jollibee, but it still feels like you're definitely somewhere that is different than the rest and for that, it'll always have my baseline of adoration for the sampling of the popular Pinay fast food joint that it is. I hope they bring their secret menu back one day...

Places like Tikka Shack are one of the places that can provide that education. Introducing Indian flavors in familiar dishes is a good way to transform picky eaters into true gormands. I wanted a quick, delicious dinner one evening before heading out on a road trip the next day. So I swung by to see what this recent move-in had to offer sleepy little Oviedo. Ambiance was very, well, Oviedo. A giant mural adorned the wall. Chickens, the Welcome sign, even a sandhill crane. It was very pretty. Service was superb. There was a nice cashier lady who gave off a owner or manager aura. We talked through the menu together and came up with a couple of delicious options for me to order. Option one was the Tikka Chicken Pizza (Tikka Sauce, garlic, fresh mozzarella, red onions, tomatoes on a Naan crust topped with cilantro). This thing was a lot of fun! A nice, thin, crispy crust, and mozz. But accompanied by a delicious tikka sauce. A little freshness from the onions and the tomatoes, and you have a very nice pie here. Something like that pizza is something a kid would try, or a subdued palate adult would try, and act as a gateway dish that would get them deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole that is the best cuisine on the planet. I love it. I also had a curry, which was nice. Very flavorful. I was expecting a little bland, but no, lots of good spice and flavor. Accompanied with a proper amount of basmati rice. Yummy. And I accented the whole meal with a cheesey, garlicky naan. Which is probably universally accepted as the best bread on the planet. Love that naan. Wash it all down with a mango lassi, and this place knocked my socks off. I don't know what brought them here to Oviedo, but I sure am glad they came. It's nice knowing that I have a fast-casual Indian place right down the road. Will definitely be back.

I order four of the same simple burgers with fries and a smoothie(smoothie is $4.00 extra) and spend almost as much as I would going to a fancy restaurant. I placed an order at the counter right before a group of people came into the restaurant. However, I was the last person to receive my meal and watched as each person who ordered several minutes after me received their food before mine, even though it was the exact same food items. It took over 20 minutes to receive my food. I understand things happen, however the employees did not acknowledge me or give an update or explanation as to why my meal was forgotten. It wasn't until I went to the counter and reminded them of my food that I was given communication and my food. I think my meal may have been given to another customer that came after me and they realized their mistake and quickly (and poorly) made mine. As for the food, I split a smash burger, chicken sandwich, and Cajun fries. The smash burger was good however this is another reason I believe I was given the wrong order entirely. I had ordered a non spicy patty and was given a spicy burger. It was very spicy which would be good if it was what I had asked for. The chicken sandwich however was pitiful. The chicken was overcooked making the meat difficult to bite into and more like a small tender on bread instead of a chicken sandwich. The bread was almost stale and not fresh. The Cajun fries were good, however not large enough to split in the slightest. For $5 fries I was hoping for something comparable in size to McDonald's fries. It felt as though my container was half filled. Extremely sadden by this last visit. I was such a fan the first time around. I hope it was just an off day for them.
