I ordered online. I got an order confirmation by e-mail that the order would be ready at 12:13 PM. I got there at 12:20. There was a line of customers. It was moving slowly. I got to the front of line at 12:30 and said I had an online order. It wasn't ready. The counter person found the order slip, but no one had paid any attention to it. I was told it would take ten minutes to grill my chickens. I waited another 15 minutes. While I waited they filled chicken orders for new walk up customers. At that point I complained that they were selling chicken pieces that I should have received. Then they apologized, said their grill was slow, and filled my order. This is absolutely the worst location that I have ever visited. The staff are totally incompetent. They don't smile the sauce bar in never full. My order is never correct. Whenever I visit here I leave stressed and angry. It takes far too long to get your food. I've complained to corporate and nothing has been done So it's 11 months later and this place hasn't changed one iota. Our total meal was wrong.My husband ordered the new Mango chicken/pork dinner and he received a pork, rice and beans meal. I ordered the chicken bowl and received a pork bowl. Incompetence at its finest. Even the manager is undertrained. My order was showing up incorrectly and neither the girl working the window and speaker whom barely spoke English can figure out how to add sides to the family meal so I was being charged regular price. I mean it's common sense. I'm not going to order a family meal and a half chicken meal. I wanted to add a half chicken. I paid the extra costs as to not hold up the drive thru line. Went for dinner there only because my mom wanted to go there my son wouldn't even go in because the place smells so bad and the place was filthy. Last time we went I did say never again however was hoping it would have been better but it wasn't at all. Place was dirty and smelled. The manager came to take our order and was not very happy ..there was practically no staff there at this time and I am assuming he did not want to be the cashier.. Waiting for ever and I am near the counter waiting and I then notice the manger putting chicken on the grill He has gloves on continues to put his hands in the big refrigerator on wheels and puts some more on then he closes the refrigerator and slides it back away With the same gloves he now starts to put more smaller pieces of chicken on a smaller grill with the same gloves as he is touching all the tongs and stuff around the restaurant. Never actually saw him take the gloves off and wash his hands couldn't watch anymore I was so disgusted. I did however eat my food even though I was kinda nauseous. About a hour later yep in the bathroom with a terrible stomach ache. So will never be going back there and of course will be telling everyone!!! No stars for place !! Everytime we go here the service is worse than before. half the time we get home after kids games and food is missing.. Sad it's one of only things to grab in the area late after long days. The counter girl sent us 2 Enchiladas and said that was what we ordered. We called for the manager and he told them to make us the salads. We wanted non sugar sweetner for our drinks- none available. The place is dirty, tables not cleaned and droppings from the dressings not cleaned up. The manager was very nice. Never had a bad experience here after attending frequently. I always order a Tropi-Chop, either with mojo pork or grilled chicken with corn and rice. It's always delicious with the guava barbecue sauce, which you can take yourself. As for the restaurant itself, it's a toss-up whether it's busy or not. Sometimes it will be crowded around 5 pm, other times not so much. The food comes pretty quickly, I'd say within 5-6 minutes depending on the shortness of the wait line. I have both eaten in and taken out and this wait time seems pretty consistent. Along with your meal, you can take as many sauces to accessorize your food as you want. Never had a problem with an order. It maintains its quality, at least for the 1/4 chicken and Tropi-Chops. My only complaint is that I have had to wait at the front counter for too long to get a take-home lid for my food, even after trying to get someone's attention. read more

After going 4 for 4 with incorrect orders and botched food, i decided to play a game and see how long the streak could continue. Well i am currently 9 for 9. I used Door Dash twice and the driver had to go back on both occasions. They must have taken the group of the worst management and paired them with the worst workers for this location. Consistently out of sauces and products, tell a manager....ohhh its not our fault. Open my bag and not toopings on sandwiches. When i have to tell the worker what goes on a sandwich or goes in a wrap and they have the card right in front of them, thats a problem. Even after calling customer care and getting some of my money back in gift cards, they literally still screw it up. One of the best yet was after waiting 30 min on line, i get up to the counter and the kid says ill be right back i have to use the bathroom. And walks away. I don't normally leave reviews for Pollo Tropical because their food is so good, but their service is sooo bad. BUT I decided to leave a comment on this one. Same good food as I expect! Ordered the chicken breast meal with rice/beans & corn. Nothing wrong. My wife (pregnant) ordered a tropi-chop. There was a communication error between cashier and server. Her order is complicated and the computer can't handle it. Lol. She asked them to remake and they didn't hesitate. They asked her step by step how she wanted it. She was pleased. Happy wife, happy life! Now all of that is pretty normal. Why I wrote the review is because of the outstanding service. They were friendly. I saw them open doors for customers coming or leaving, bring food to a table for a mom with two kids. Two different people check on the dinning room while we were there. I wish I lived closer to this Pollo so I could make it my regular. I hope other Pollo's can learn more customer service. read more

They take 15-20 minutes to serve ONE car, they will be out of chicken and have to cook it, which will take 25-30 minutes, but will tell you when you're at the window? Why didn't you start off telling us that when we're at the speaker? The communication they have here is little to none. They are always out of sauces, they look at you like you've ordered a sauce off some secret menu then say "no we don't have that". I once came and ordered food and then at the window asked for sauce, the boy at the window became incredibly rude and said "I already asked you back there, you shoulda said something then"... excuse me?
