If you order a side you get a free side salad so that was a nice surprise. We also wanted to try their chicha morada which is a typical Peruvian style drink. The drink was nice and sugary and tasted like hibiscus ice tea. When the chicken came out it smelled really good! Everything was nice and hot and we couldn't wait to dig in! I am a french frie lover and I think these were the best fries I have ever had in Boston!! They were thick, crispy, and perfectly salted and I couldn't get enough of them! The pinto beans were also very good and tasted authentic! It reminded me of my mom's cooking which is a compliment. The chicken was the star of the show. It was very juicy and tender and very well seasoned. The meat litterly melted off the bone and I was quickly devouring it. The giant Inca corn served with it was fresh and tasty. One of my friends had an Inca Coca Cola which was yellow (!) and tasted like candy, and another had a purple corn drink that was flavored with cinnamon. I also tasted a delicious green pesto pasta with beef tips that were tender, smoky and not chewy. The guacamole with fried yuca was also delicious! Another interesting dish was the Leche de Tigre (I think that's what it was called) which was basically a cold fish soup served in a cocktail glass--sounds weird but I tried it and it was very good. I loved the fried seaweed that decorated the top, it tasted a little bit like fried calamari with a softer texture. Delicious! The waiter was extremely helpful and explained the menu in detail as we had lots of questions, and they were also very accommodating with the heat level which is always an issue for me.
