Don't let the outside fool you, this place is a gem. Brought a friend to lunch , where she requested and I can see why. The chicken is the star, wood fire with a citrus marinade. The crispy skin compliments the tender, juicy meat. Tried the potato starter and it's something to explore, cheesy sauce with a distinguished taste. Fried plantains go well with any rice, another side dish ordered. This place is worth the drive for pickup, even if you just get the chicken by itself. There's minimal dining space so take out is the better option. Nice friendly staff ready to share the cuisine.

I think this place offers a great value and good variety on their menu, but it's not the best Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken restaurant LA has to offer. IMO, thier rotisserie chicken was just ok- it needs longer marinade time and more smoky flavor to come through. The "Aji Verde" (Peruvian green sauce) which goes hand in hand with everything on their menu was surprisingly BLAND. It was absent of that garlicky, tart, spicy taste! Too bad - done well, Aji verde is addicting. Overall, prices are good here, but I will stick to my usual spots for Peruvian roast chicken.

Flavor! This is what we come for. The flavor in the food comes straight from the heart forsure. Two of our favorite dishes are the number 17- Lomo Saltado and the number 2-Ceviche de Pescado. The service is fast, and the workers are very kind. We always make sure to leave with some goodies from the market they have also.

I love me some good Peruvian food. This was the first Peruvian meal I've had since I've been back from Peru and it didn't disappoint. I ordered pollos a la brasa and lomo saltado. The food took about 15 minutes to make. While waiting, I took a look at some of their items that they have. There's a lot of items that are imported from Peru that you won't easily find elsewhere. The place is nothing fancy, but more so a grab and go type of place. They had the TV on with soccer playing in the background too.

Our first time here and glad we did. We stuck with our usual items as seen in our pictures. My son really liked the Aguadito and he is picky eater. There is small dining area and has a good selection of peruvian groceries. They seem to do a lot of takeout. The parking lot is tiny. We'll be sure to come back.

NO BEEF IN BEEF LOMO SALTADO FOR A CATERED EVENT FROM THESE THIEVES!! flavor is also mediocre at best!! There are WAY BETTER PLACES!!

If you want to get jipped and ripped off for one of your special events by getting your food catered from here, then this is the place!! Theives! For mediocre ass food that turned out to not have as much flavor as most other peruvian spots have!! I ordered a large tray of BEEF lomo saltado and 2 trays of whole roasted chickens. I finally set up the food for my party and let the guests serve themselves when to my surprise everyone kept asking where the beef was? I look in the tray and all potatoes and peppers and onions!! Barely any beef if you dug around you might find some. I called the restaurant then and there and the bullshit response I got was "oh its bcuz the meat is so expensive now, so we do apologize" like wtf!? That is not my problem and something that should have been mentioned BEFORE i paid $90 for a tray of potatoes and peppers!! The SHADIEST part of it all was I was going to pay w my card and the lady at the front Valentina said if I paid cash i get a discount with no taxes, so i said cool in total paid $200 in CASH. So how convenient that I pay in CASH, They rip me off and now I can't dispute or ask for a refund back!! I call and they said the owner offered to give me A COMBO FOR FREE ON MY NEXT VISIT, HA!!! Laughable...my event was ruined, my money stolen and my guests left hungry...what a JOKE!!!!! I have provided pictures to show as proof!! And again the flavors were mediocre at best!!! So save ur money!!

    28. Aguadito Soup

When I finally logged into Yelp to do just that, I was genuinely saddened to see that this place has since closed. It honestly broke my heart, because this was one of those dining experiences that truly stayed with me. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was stunning--beautiful rooftop vibes, warm energy, and a space that immediately made you feel like you were about to experience something special. The food itself was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully executed, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavor. You could taste the care, creativity, and intention behind each bite. The Peruvian inspiration throughout the menu was both authentic and elevated, striking the perfect balance between comfort and sophistication. One of the most memorable parts of the experience was the chef herself coming out to introduce herself. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and passionate. You could tell she truly poured her heart into her food. She took the time to explain the inspiration behind the dishes, and it made the entire meal feel even more meaningful. That level of personal touch is rare and so appreciated. Looking back at these photos now just reminds me how special this place was. Delicious food, a talented and thoughtful chef, and an overall experience that left a lasting impression. It's such a shame this spot is no longer around, because it truly deserved all the love and recognition. If the chef ever opens another concept, I will absolutely be first in line. Thank you for such a memorable meal--this is one I won't forget.

It's a small open air space, and it can get full right at dinner time, but if you go right as they open at 5pm, you'll be fine without reservations. The menu is limited, but it's all delicious! The Yuca Fries are a must! Fried and topped with chorizo. All of the sides sounded really good, but these are the best! The thigh meat chicken skewers are perfectly sauced, and can be ordered as an appetizer to be shared by two. All of the main dishes are meant to be shared. The prices are up there for the portions, but it's all a real treat for the taste buds, and the view is great! Highly recommend.

They do not mess around with their portion sizes! I got the lomo saltado and that could literally be split between three people. The meat was juicy and tender and the fries and onions and tomatoes were cooked very well. The rice was also well prepared. Even though I don't really drink soda, I had to get the traditional Peruvian Inca soda which pairs so nicely with the food. They also start you off with the fresh yummy bread and butter. The staff is very sweet and the service is really good. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. Dried bread and dipping sauces were brought while we perused the menu. Our food came quick. First was the chicken soup we ordered as an appetizer. It was delicious! Warning - the red salsa side dish is super hot. We tested it first, added a small splash, and loved it. Next was a sliced beef and marinated onion sandwich. It was well filled and really tasty, our favorite of the night. The green salsa that comes with it is a perfect compliment - savory and spicy like a molé, but not too hot. We will order this again. Then came the beef heart, not a dish for everyone, but a personal favorite. Seasoned with a great dry rub and cooked on wood skewers, it was on par with the best yakitori I have ever had. What made it even better, however, were the sides. The hominy was perfectly chewy and seasoned. Mixed with the green salad, the potato chunks, and some of the green and white dipping sauces, well, it was an excellent compliment to the dense beefiness of the roasted heart chunks. OTOH, the salsa that comes with the beef heart, while full of chopped scallions and such, was far too sour for my taste. It was like pure lime juice. I tasted it and set it aside, only adding a few bits into my mix of sides. The final nice touch was the price. Total for three dishes was $40 before tax and tip. We will be back. The closest public parking lot is a couple blocks to the north, but we found a metered spot right out front. I didn't like that the meter needed a credit card or app, but that's the way things are going.
