The location is beautiful with a really nice outdoor area, the restrooms were clean which I always appreciate a big part of my score is always restroom maintenance. The food was amazing. The lomo had great flavor, the ceviche was incredible and the fried rice was also really good. Everything we tried was delicious. Service was great as well. Parking can be a little tricky since it's on a busy street, but it's definitely not something that should stop you from visiting. Cute place with a nice ambiance, and we were fortunate enough to get a table by the window. The bathrooms are located outside, and parking can be a bit tight. Our server was attentive, and our order arrived quickly. We ordered two appetizers. Unfortunately, the papa rellena arrived sitting in a pool of oil, which was a major turnoff, so we sent it back. The tamal was a little dry for my taste, although my wife enjoyed it. The chicha morada was very good. The lomo saltado arrived first and was served a bit cold. Unfortunately, it did not compare to the lomo saltado at Misky Misky, which is one of our favorites. This one was somewhat disappointing. I had a To Go order. I was so surprised how generous and amazing the Picante de Mariscos dish was. The dish was perfectly seasoned and will be a reorder. A bevy of large butteflied shrimp were succulent, paired with plentiful of octopus, squid and mussels. This was a perfect seafood dish. Don't forget to add the Peruvian green salsa to this dish. Came here with a group on the recommendation of a Peruvian colleague to celebrate several birthdays including hers. The food was delicious! Came to Glendale today to have my car serviced at Pacific BMW on Brand Avenue. Since I needed to eat lunch and occupy myself for a bit I decided to try the lovely Peruvian restaurant next door. Not only is the place super cute and clean but I found the food to be incredibly tasty. All three servers (Aida, Carmen and Gisela) were very attentive and a big great help with me maneuvering the extensive menu. I have not really been to many Peruvian restaurants, but if this is any way typical, then I'm certainly a fan . The question is not WILL I be back...but rather WHEN I will return. The answer is VERY SOON whether or not my car needs additional service. . One more thing to note. First impression was good as the food was very tasty though one of our waitresses seemed to be having a bad day as she was efficient but curt and non engaging. Second visit: food was good but waitress had bad attitude once we received our food, insisting that her interpretation of our order was correct although it was incorrect. When assured by another waitress that our order would be returned to the kitchen to replace with the correct meat, the original waitress returned the plate to our table, indicating that since the meal had already been prepared, we had no other choice. Working in food service as a restaurant owner for over 30 years, we know this could have been handled differently with a much more favorable result for all parties. In our opinion, there was no need to cause a scene, though we made it clear that we were not pleased. I have NEVER withheld a tip before, until today, but I hope that our message was clear by leaving a zero tip. Definitely not the place for warm and fuzzy service. Came here close to 5pm and was about 3 min wait. They asked if the small table was ok. But we requested a slightly larger table so we didn't have to worry about our food not fitting. I do appreciate them asking if the size of the table was ok. We ordered the ceviche de mariscos, jalea de mariscos, inca cola and Peruvian beer. The only had one Peruvian beer in stock in that beer is pretty light but it went well with the food. The Inca cola was very flavorful and it almost reminded me of a pineapple flavor. The ceviche de mariscos was very flavorful and I wonder if it has some sort of meat flavoring because vegan and vegetarian flavorings usually don't have that umami. The jalea de mariscos was a tower of food that included fish, shrimp, and lots of squid. Lomo saltado initially look like it had more fries because of how they plated it. But as I dug more into the food the meat was also in the middle and the bottom of the plate, so they mixed it well. I've been coming here for a while as I've grown up in Glendale my whole life. Today, it was so lovely to be seated outside in the back because of our big party. We were there celebrating my father-in-law's birthday and retirement, so of course it had to be somewhat big. But I really want to thank David for his hospitality.
