The portions here are huge, the food is made to order, and the staff is very friendly. I was craving gorditas, and this place came up on my search. It's a taco truck, has great reviews and has been at its spot forever. It had to be good and boy it did not disappoint! At first, I thought it was a little pricy for ($10) 1 Gordita but when I got it, it is literally the size of a regular corn tortilla. I got mine with Chicharrón in salsa verde. It came with iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and some Mexican fresh cheese. Ambience is nothing special- it is next to a gas station but it does have covered picnic benches. The day we were there it was windy and cold. Would definitely recommend this place for good, casual affordable Mexican taco-truck fare. read more

Standard first order. Chorizo and egg and bacon and egg on flour. Good tortillas. Crisped up nicely. Good thickness. $3 each. Two is a good meal. I actually preferred the bacon a bit to the chorizo. Nice chucks of bacon with rich flavor. Green salsa is very thick. Doesn't seem spicy, but will creep up on you, after a few bites. Recommend. Come here specifically for the grilled chicken!! It's so delicious! The beef is amazing too but the grilled chicken is definitely their signature dish. Employees also so kind! They do have tables outside if you want to enjoy your food outside of the car. read more

Awesome spot! I ordered in Spanish, and I was glad everyone was patient with my less than fluent abilities. They take card, which was appreciated and the food came out quickly. This is my new favorite taco truck in Austin! Tacos are like $2 each, pretty standard prices. What makes this little truck awesome is how crisp everything is! I got the carnitas and something a little more forgettable on corn tortillas. My friend got a couple el pollo tacos on flour tortillas. Corn tortillas were warmed through, surrounding their fillings. Carnitas were amazing because they were crispy! And juicy! My friend's tacos also had crisped meat and were also on toasty blistered tacos. I was immediately jealous and regretted not getting flour tortillas. Fillings here were not overly salty - they actually had little salt packets on the side but I found them seasoned well enough. This place can be really hit or miss depending on the dish and the time of day. In general, the pollo asado isn't as good as el regio and neither are the beans but they're all pretty good and they're reasonably priced. I got a half-chicken, beans, and barbacoa taco for $9. The breakfast tacos are also really solid and affordable. All-in-all, this is not a must-visit truck but if you're in the are and want a solid, cheap meal it's great. Far and above one of the very best in charcoal chicken and sides!! And I am super picky. Even though it is a little food trailer in the parking lot of a bad convenient store that I never shop at. It is worth a trip just for this little place. They just make all others pale in comparison. My mother lives in Oklahoma and has me bring her one on ice every time I visit.
