Had the 1/2 chicken order that came with tortillas, rice and beans. It was excellent! I have had similar meals in CA and AZ and this place was right up there with the best. We also had a couple al pastor tacos and they were great. The salsas were legit and the jalapeño toreado was also good. I will definitely be going back. read more

This was our first visit to this highly rated small restaurant in Windsor. The main thing they have is grilled chicken, so we had the $6.99 lunch special or a 1/4 chicken with rice and beans and we got some flour and some corn tortillas. The chicken is excellently grilled and still moist. The beans are a bit runny, but have good flavor and you can mix them with the rice, if it is a problem. After the chicken, the beans can seem bland, but taste them first. The tomatillo and red sauce are good as the the ( somewhat too salty) pickles onions. Each plate came with a grilled jalapeño- so you can add some heat if you are a heat-o-holic. Cheerful and friendly service. Give it a try. Great spot in Windsor, which has not had much in the way of decent Mexican for some time (we've got fifteen urgent cares if you need them). We tried Pollos El Guero tonight and really enjoyed it. Their tacos are legit - street taco style with onions and cilantro. Had the Assad and carnitas, both were very good. Salsa and taco sauces were all very good. Plenty of spice, great flavor, all very fresh. Green chile was good and spicy, but not overly so. Additionally, the staff was very nice as well. My only suggestion is to eat in or call your takeout order in advance. We'll be back! read more

Not even 5 minutes later the employee called back and apologized profusely for the hold wait time, and asked if he could take my order. My husband and I are from out of the area and decided to try this restaurant based on the Yelp reviews. The menu is short which makes it easy to order at the counter. There was plenty of variety to choose from so rather than try the pollo dinner we opted for other things. My smothered chicken burrito was delicious. Using the grilled chicken gave it added flavor. My husband tried the beef chimichanga. It wasn't fried crispy like he expected and the beef was a bit chewy rather than being shredded or ground. The rice was fluffy with wonderful flavor. The beans were obviously cooked on site and were a good compliment to the dinner. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely come back. read more

The second we stepped into this tiny restaurant, I knew I was home. The look, feel and smell of the place was to die for. Everything was completely authentic and delicious. We ordered a couple smothered burritos with chicken which were fantastic. Their chicken reminds me a lot of chain in Southern Cali called Pollo Loco, it's delicious, juicy and flavorful. Being Hispanic, I can tell you the Mexican food options in town aren't they best. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for something authentic in Windsor. I came here after several of my co-workers said how amazing it is. They were right, the food couldn't get more authentic or delicious. Chips are made when you order them, the salsa is absolutely amazing, and the chile rellenos are also made to order, huge, and wonderful. The Asada tacos and chicken are super flavorful and the tortillas are home made and light. I haven't had fantastic Mexican food since Mexico- and this will be a new favorite for sure. The place doesn't look all that nice- kind of a hole in the wall, but I'm sure it will improve as business grows. This one opened up recently in downtown Windsor very close to our house. We stumbled upon this place not too long ago and thought we would give it a try. We started with their breakfast burritos and we were sold. They have awesome tacos, and a grilled chicken meal with all the sides that is to die for. I was surprised that they charged three dollars for chips and salsa since most Mexican restaurants don't charge for chips and salsa. But once I tasted it I understood why. I must say that the family chicken dinners are an excellent deal with perfectly spiced chicken and sides including homemade rice and beans, tortillas, etc....awesome and a great option for busy weeknights when I dont have time to cook.
