Had a gel manicure and at the end, instead of wiping with alcohol/water the technician used acetone! I had to point out his mistake, as he basically removed the top layer of color. His solution was to buff my nails and reapply top coat. Now I have uneven color. Pedicure was uneventful and unremarkable. read more

I was going to give 3-stars, but they are so incredibly nice and over-the-top with their customer service that I have to say they're a great place, even if the skill isn't quite there. I took my young daughter here as a treat, and because I needed a mani/pedi again. I don't get polish on my nails because as active as I am it just chips off, so I have always just had places buff my nails. This is the first nail salon that seemed to have no idea what I was talking about. They didn't use the pink cream or the buffing tool, instead they got one of those old school triangle things and used it instead. Not only does this A) not work as well as the actual buffing cream/brush tool, but B) it also tore up my cuticles terribly. When I pointed this out, the guy said he would fix it, but he just put cuticle oil on my hands. He didn't push the cuticles back and trim them and give an actual manicure? That was my major frustration, but the french pedicure on my toes wasn't great either. The whites were uneven, and too thick, and just not great. Now, you might be asking yourself why 4 stars? Well, the polish on my toes has lasted WEEKS, which is more than I can say for a lot of places, and they also were so incredibly sweet and patient with my little girl. She (like most kids) couldn't sit still while they were working on me and she messed up her nails probably 5 or 6 times. I kept insisting the ladies didn't need to fix her nails, but they did over and over until I was done. It was incredibly sweet, and even though the quality isn't enough for me to want to go back, their customer service was phenomenal! Also, I think for normal nail polish (all over the nails) I bet they're great, so as long as you're not looking for french or a buffing, I think you'll be happy here! read more

The people here are so kind. I went in this morning for a quick nail fix after breaking one on a business trip. She noticed another nail was chipping so she repaired both and refused to let me pay! I went here cause someone recommended they were good. Never again will I go to this place again. They had terrible service. When requesting a certain look they say they can do, but can't actually do it. My nails were thin, and broke a few days after getting them done. Their pedicures are sorry and lazy. They have attitudes when you ask them to fix or correct something. They offer drinks to certain color customers. I wouldn't recommend this place to a blind woman. read more

I've been frequenting this place for several years now. I only get pedicures...no other service. I've always had great service...no cuts or nicks, great selection from Spa ($25) to OPI ($55). About 6 different options. Always a good massage and the employees tend to care about doing a good job. Once had a minor burn from a hot paraffin wax treatment...but no other problems. The salon always seems clean and I've had no issues with service. They offer a frequent visit card as well. read more

I have been going here for several years now. I live in far East Plano & pass over a dozen other nail places on my way there. It's completely worth the drive for me. Leo & Sam are my favorite for a set. I don't like pedicures (tickle or hurt- no in between) and have maybe had 3 ever until today. Linda is the best!! I was back in Plano on business, and stopped of to get pedicures here with my wife. My nail tech did a great job of getting the water just right (not too hot) and took a nice, long time on foot massage (The real reason I go for pedicures). Had my first visit here 2 weeks ago. Did Nexgen for the first time ever and I love it. They took me as a walkin around 6pm on a Tuesday and all the techs pretty much had a client so I was glad they could squeeze me in. I think I had Tina? And she was awesome. I chose a light color and she made sure I was okay with the opacity of it before finishing up so I really appreciated that. I came here for convenience since it is close to me but I def plan to return because they were so incredibly nice and affordable. read more

I made an appointment earlier in the day. When I walked in, a stone-faced lady who lost the ability to smile when she was 5 years old greeted me. If you want service with a smile, this is not the place for you. Waited 15 mins even with an appt. The manicurist was fair but nothing special. Won't be going back unless desperate. read more

This place used to be THE BEST! My pedis used to last for weeks and I constantly received compliments on them. Ever since the new management took over, it's really gone down hill. All but one of the original techs left when the new management took over. That should have been my first clue. The last time I had a pedicure there it didn't even last a week! I was so disappointed that the pedi "menu" has drastically changed (went from 5-7 amazing choices down to 3-4 mediocre ones). i just got my nails done here 2 days ago and 4 of them have already fallen off(one in my sleep, 2 in the pool, and one broke in half) and 2 of them are chipped. The first guy that did my Nexgen was amazing. He didn't cut me, I loved the shape of my nails, & he was super sweet. However, 2 days after getting them done, I had a nail that completely broke. I logged on to Yelp to see Polo Nails' business hours and saw that the reviews were low! This is shocking to me! This is my go to nail salon not only because it is nearby, but because the staff is incredibly friendly. When I was getting my mani/pedi for my wedding they treated me like royalty and genuinely cared making everything as perfect as it could be. Not only that, but they remember me each and everytime I come. It feels like family. They are also quite affordable for the excellent quality that they provide. Traditional mani-pedi was okay, not impressed. I am especially disappointed with the way they did my French nails. You could see the whites of my nails and it was very unflattering. I payed $40 for my mani-pedi and I wish I could have my money back. This place is okay if you just want to have your nails painted. The service was alright, but they're not SUPER friendly.
