This restaurant offers excellent Cuban food. However, the service and vibe are lacking. Our server took over 15 minutes to bring a menu, once the menu arrived it was another 15 minutes to order and our server told us immediately that she'll be leaving soon and someone else will take over. We ordered anyway because we were hungry. We got the following: A starter of fried boniato, cooked perfectly and very crispy, as they should be, but many restaurants forget to cook them this way. They were perfect For our entrées we ordered similarly but different. Fried fish breaded with morro rice and salad, plus another fried fish in chunks with morro & salad. The service may be terrible, but the food makes up for it. I would go back, knowing to be patient and allow for slow service.

COMPLETELY INEDIBLE! Disgusting! Omg! There are no words for the order I just received from this restaurant. Previously, I have ordered the breaded chicken, which was excellent. When I ordered their chicken Parm, I expected to see the regular breaded chicken. You'd get on an order with tomato sauce and cheese on top instead, I got three burnt, tough, can't even bite into them chicken nuggets covered with cheese and sauce that are tough dry and taste like lemon. I couldn't be more disappointed and something I was looking forward to that. I paid $30 for please stay away.!! Pretty sure this will be the last time I order anything from Polo Norte.

Excellent Cuban style cafeteria with delicious food for breakfast, lunch & dinner. The wait staff is very friendly and the place is always busy but it's worth it. The cortadito special is my favorite.

my friend ordered pork chops, which she devoured and stated it was delicious and juicy I believe it came with plantains, which she also enjoyed. I didn't enjoy my meal mainly because I don't like this type of cuisine. The food was fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive. The ambiance is pretty casual and the place was packed not many smiles here.

Went with my brother and his wife on a Sunday night. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall on Coral Way. This Cuban restaurant started as a Cuban pizza shop, then added ice cream and eventually went to a full Cuban menu. Although it's been around for many years, this was my first visit. I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the place was. I liked the painted brick walls Cuban art everywhere and the upholstered gray furniture. Very nice and clean. The food was really good too. Portions were HUGE, so we all took home lunch for the following day. We started with their famous Cheese Soup (tasty but very rich) and ordered their garlic bread. Both were good. Everyone really liked the entrees, which came out very quick. My brother and his wife are big fans of the Steak Milanesa, so they had that. My wife had the same but with breaded chicken. I had the 'Uruguayo de Cerdo', which is a breaded pork steak with cheese, bacon and chorizo - very good! Everyone's food came out at the same time. It was hot and cooked perfectly. The service was solid. They mostly left us alone but did follow up with us to check if we were OK and refilled our waters. We were too full for dessert and either had water or sodas. Although they do have wine and beer. Overall, I was impressed with the place and we had a very nice time.

Polo Norte, a place known for its Cuban pizza. The ambiance it's very family friendly just very casual. The food that I bought was ordered through Ubereats. I ordered a family pizza half Hawaiian and Mixed (Mitad Hawaiana y Mixta), two dozen garlic bread and a Cubano Regular. The Cubano Regular comes with plantain chips instead of fries. The pizza I wish had gotten to my home nice and hot but it didn't. The pizza was really good, but the garlic bread was disappointing. I asked for extra Parmesan cheese and extra oil, the bread had barely any Parmesan cheese and no oil. It was the driest piece of garlic bread I have ever eaten, did not even taste like garlic and doughy in the middle. The Cubano Regular was pretty tasty. I will order the pizza again for sure as it was very tasty.

So I decided to come to this location which I have ordered for from them other locations to go so I decided to dine The decor inside is nice and very clean what I really didn't like is the waitress just brooming around the table and telling me I will be right with you I don't think that was right oh I ordered the palomilla with congri and fries the steak had no flavor and the fries were like overcooked I would not come back here

Polo Norte is open for business, went there for take out. Some people eating outside and one table inside. The inside décor and furniture very nice, roof details - nice, very industrial like. We ordered Pollo a la Plancha with Arroz Moro and a Cuban Sandwich. The sandwich had the usual meats, pickles, etc, although it missed more pressing on the bread. Preferably stick to the most traditional items when trying out a Cuban place. Some items are reasonably priced but other are more expensive, good flavor and all. But, a couple of hours after eating, the indigestion was terrible... maybe it was the rice.... don't know what ingredient it might had, probably lard??... who knows.... Sorry Polo Norte... as much as I wanted to like you for a Cuban place... but maybe not.

The shop is small with only the shared outdoor seating with other nearby restaurants. The Pan Con Bistec was very tasty and I liked the crispy bits inside. The flavor of the sauce could have been more pronounced but otherwise a really good sandwich. The Pan con Lechon was okay overall because it tasted very one note flavor and texture wise. The meat was moist and tender but I preferred the Bistec and the Cubano. They also provided a garlic dipping sauce which was very flavorful. However I felt that it overpowered a lot of the sandwich flavors. I also got the Mamey Batida which was smooth and subtle with its sweetness. My first time having a Batida and I really liked the consistency but will probably be choose a different flavor next time.

Regardless when we arrived they sat us outside which is exactly what we were hoping for. Our server was nice at first. Explained all the popular dishes got our drinks out very quickly. I think she stole our table from someone else because shortly after someone came and we told them we put our order in and he seemed a little bothered. Unfortunately, our other server disappeared and never checked up on us. We pretty much didn't have any napkins during our entire duration of our meal. At least that part was good. We started off with a couple of mojitos and their Vaca Frita Tostones. You get these homemade maduro tostones topped off with shreeded beef in a moon sauce, pickled onion, and aji Amarillo aioli. A very delicious dish that didn't last long. Shortly after we received our main dish. I really hate when they do that. My wife ordered their Abuelas Ropa Vieja and I ordered their Masa de Puerco Chino. My wife didn't really care for her dish much. We've had plenty of Ropa Vieja before and would have preferred a congri type of rice as opppsed to just plain white rice. My dish was 10/10. Like in the name of "chino" this is an Asian inspired dish with fried rice, maduros, pineapple confit and crispy pork. A very delicious dish. It could have don't without the little salad on top, but at least it ads color to the dish. The crispy pork tasted so amazing and the fried had so much flavor. Mix in some of the maduros and you get a sweet and savory dish. Would definitely be returning to try this dish again.
