Ricky and his team were great. Our neighbors have been using them for years and we're thrilled for the recommendation. We live in a neighborhood with hills and mature trees. Ricky came by quickly, walked the property, talked through my thoughts, gave me great advice, and gave us the estimate. We had another company out the same day and their initial estimate was significantly higher. Ricky and Noe both communicated well. There were a few trees and suckers we weren't sure about removing, so the crew did the rest first to let us see how it looked before we made a final decision. They removed over a dozen eucalyptus suckers and trees, removed 3 acacia trees and removed one enormous holly berry shrub/tree. Trimmed/laced 3 very large eucalyptus and one sumac, removed 2 small palms, ground down a palm stump and removed two decorative shrubs. And they raked up some of the hillside. Poly Timber was on the pricier end of the estimates I received but I went with them because of how confident I felt they could do a good job on my trees after the estimate. Other estimates I received were cheaper but didn't have licenses or insurance and I didn't want to take that risk since I wanted some big branches that were growing over a neighbor's garage to get cut down. Some of the contractors also didn't explain much about what they would do or ask questions to find out what I wanted so I felt like they would have hacked the trees and not shaped them well. Ricky, the owner, was clear in communicating what he could do and what options I had and was able to schedule me quickly. The workers were quick and hauled/cleaned away the tree waste well. Work was done as discussed during the estimate and Ricky walked me through the work done to make sure I knew what had been done and that it was what I had wanted. Only minor grievance is that I had a eugenia that was shaped like a box that needed some trimming on the top and sides but they didn't trim it very symmetrically. Overall though, I can't complain about the work done. read more
