Great French Bakery to dine in or even take out. They have these amazing chocolate croissants that you must try. I love their pizza too, very delicious with fresh ingredients, everything here is pretty much fresh, even when you buy orange juice it's freshly squeezed. Amazing place and very authentic. They serve you well and are greatly spoken. 10/10.

I've been coming to Suzuya Patisserie for years. There was a time when I came almost every week,…read moreand whenever my friends had birthdays, I would preorder their cakes here because I genuinely love the quality of the desserts. My family and I have supported Suzuya since the very beginning, when the first location opened on Durango. We've watched the business grow over the years, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, today's visit was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. I ordered a breakfast crepe, a curry cheese sandwich, a mango mochi, and a whole cake. The breakfast items were served without any fork or knife. When I asked for utensils, there was no effort to provide them. The mango mochi was also served without utensils. When I politely asked the staff member wearing the mask for a fork, she simply replied, "You don't need utensils." That response honestly surprised me. Mango mochi is sticky and messy to eat by hand. It wasn't about the fork itself--it was the complete lack of willingness to provide even the most basic customer service. The bigger issue was when I purchased a birthday cake for a friend. I was told there were no bags available for a 6-inch cake. However, I saw other customers receiving bags. I even asked, "If I buy two more cakes, making it three cakes total, would you be able to give me a bag? I only have two hands." The answer was still no. That response simply made no sense. What made the experience even more upsetting was how I was treated because I had my service dog with me. My dog is a professionally trained service dog--not a pet. He remained calm throughout the entire visit. He never barked, never approached anyone, never disturbed other customers, and simply laid quietly beside me. Despite that, I was questioned about whether he was a service dog, whether he had a service vest, and then told that because I had my service dog with me, we would have to sit outside. I found this extremely disappointing. My dog was behaving exactly as a trained service dog should, yet I was still directed outside solely because he was with me. I sincerely hope the staff receive proper training on how to respectfully interact with customers who rely on service animals. Every customer deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. After being directed outside because of my service dog and then repeatedly being refused basic accommodations that should have been simple to provide, it became difficult not to question whether my service dog influenced the way I was treated. I truly hope that wasn't the case, but it certainly felt that way. This isn't just my opinion anymore. Many friends have shared the same experience with me over the years: the cakes are excellent, but the customer service is consistently disappointing. People return because the desserts are amazing--not because of the hospitality. Sadly, it often feels like there's no warmth or genuine care for customers. I've always heard wonderful things about Mike, and from what I've seen, he seems like a genuinely kind person. I can't help but wonder how he would feel if he knew loyal customers were leaving with experiences like this. I'm usually not someone who complains or leaves negative reviews. It takes a lot for me to write something like this. But after years of supporting this business, I believe this experience needed to be shared. Suzuya truly makes fantastic desserts, and that's exactly why this review is so disappointing for me to write. Great products should never be an excuse for poor customer service. Loyal customers deserve to feel welcomed, respected, and appreciated--not dismissed.

We tried the peaches and cream cake, mini tiramisu and mini cheesecake. The tiramisu was on point and so rich while also maintaining its light and airy appeal. Same for the peaches and cream cake - it has chunks of fresh peaches that were naturally sweet with the light fluffiness of the cake and whipped filling and topping to feel like a peachy cloud swept me away. Additionally their baked savory pastries are fresh, flavors are on point and super tasty. An absolute midday treat. We tried the kimchi and curry pastries. Great, balanced flavors. My absolute favorite has to be their ube latte though. The ube flavor shines through so beautifully and offers that escape from a stressful day that i am always hopeful a nice latte will. The tiramisu latte is a strong second favorite. Even when the lines look long, service is fast and the wait is impressively not as long as i anticipated it to be. They really do a wonderful job of bringing freshness, quality, service and flavor together for our enjoyment.

Hubby was already on his way to pick up our birthday cake order. When he asked what happened, he was told that someone came in and basically swooped it up. Apparently they make one damn strawberry cake for the busiest day of the week. SMH... I'm just glad this cake isn't all that special and I'm not disappointing a kid, geez! Who does that though?! We were going to buy more pastries along with picking up the birthday cake but not after how they did us dirty like that. Back to 85 degrees we go, many better places to give us money to!! Never order a cake here ever again!!! Go to Suzuya, usually our go to and they never screw us over like this!

I settled on 5 items; ham and cheese croissant, chocolate chip cookie, pistachio danish, lobster tail and an almond cornette. The cookie was so good, nice crisp on the outside and so chewy and gooey on the inside. Wished I had some milk to go with it that day. The ham and cheese croissant seemed simple and plain with barely any meat but omg it was soooo good! I still daydream about it till this day. The danish was ok but omg that lobster tail was everything! The pastry was so flakey and crispy and there was so much cream on the inside, I mean I felt like I was in cream heaven! I gave the almond pastry to my mom and she dogged that thing down! She was really enjoying it. I'm thinking of making another trip over there real soon bcs after writing this review just reminded me of how yummy everything was! I also want to try some other items, I wish this place was closer to my home!!

The savory items are still good, and that is probably the only part that still feels reliable. The flowers, however, are extremely overpriced for the quality. The arrangements I have seen recently looked poor, did not feel fresh, and had an unpleasant smell. For the price point, the quality is simply not acceptable. The sweet items have also become a major disappointment. What used to be fresh, well-made, and worth going out of the way for now tastes stale and, in my opinion, is no longer enjoyable. It is especially disappointing because this place had a strong reputation and genuinely used to be good. Overall, it feels expensive, overhyped, and no longer worth the visit. The savory selection may still be decent, but the bakery's sweets and flower shop quality have fallen far below what they used to be.

We ordered the Croque Monsieur, French Onion Soup and the Kouign-amann (queen ah-mahn), and serving wise, this was good enough for me and my girlfriend to split! Everything was cooked quite well, full of flavors and the Kouign-amann was probably our favorite for that day! It's served strictly at 8:30am and will be available until they sell out. I'm definitely a sweets person, but not usually a "cake" person because they're often way too sweet. Not here! At least for the cakes I've tried. The icing on their strawberry shortcake and the brown derby cakes is just amazing. Both of those cakes are so flavorful but not overwhelmingly sweet. One of my favorite things is that they offer single slices of cake. It's the perfect way to satisfy a craving and try it before committing to an entire cake (although you'll probably want one after your first bite!). I haven't tried their cookies or other treats yet, but if they taste half as good as the cakes, I'm sure they're also amazing. This place is a 10/10 for me. I highly recommend!

Granted we had never gone in the morning before (it was about 11:30am) so I'm not used to having so many available options but the store was bright, clean, and well stocked. Who are we kidding that we would leave with something small? We ended up with a slice of red velvet cake, Parisian chocolate, carrot cake, and confetti sprinkle cake. We ordered half a pound of the sea salt caramel cake cookies and a half assortment of the M&M and Reese's Pieces butter cookies. I was able to check in here on Yelp and snagged four free chocolate chip cookies. When we went to checkout they said we got to spin a wheel (honestly can't remember the purchase threshold) but I spun and got a free cupcake. I opted for the Boston Cream cupcake. We have had all of the other items before but I was extremely excited to try the cupcake and had it with lunch. The cake was so soft and spongy and the chocolate ganache topping was so rich and decadent balancing the cream filling. This is another dangerous addition to have right around the corner but to be honest we are always grateful to have a consistent bakery close by. Thanks again, Freeds, and welcome to the Southwest!
