We called nearly a week ahead to make a reservation for a party of 14. When we got there, they had no record of having taken our reservation, and said they could only accommodate us outside (on a cold, blustery evening). We repeated that we had made a reservation and politely asked to see the manager. While we were waiting, the hostess that had been talking to us seated a couple of parties that walked in with no reservation at all, including one larger party of 6. Then when the manager finally came over, all he wanted to do was argue with us about whether we had called the right location to make our reservation. We ended up leaving and taking our business to the restaurant next door. I don't care how good your food is, if you cannot care for your customers properly, you will not get my business. Sorry, Pomo, but you suck. read more

Pizza was amazing and people were super friendly. Despite me not understanding the menu which was mostly in Italian, I was in and out with my take-out in 10 minutes. The only reason its 3 stars is that for $18, the pizza was super not filling. It was 12inch, but so thin that i had to go back out and get a second dinner. God do I love pizza done well, and this place knocks it out of the park. The atmosphere is your typical upscale hipster pie place (woods floors and tables, spare wire seating, hanging lights, pizza oven prominently displayed). The pizza is mindblowing. We had the porcini, bufala verace, and the chef. Thing crust, perfect char, amazing ingredients. The red sauce is light and bright, complimenting the richness of the cheese/toppings. The porcini are plump and earthy. On the white pizza, the prosciutto is draped over the cooked pizza to add just a hint of extra salt/umami/funkiness to the indulgently creamy base. This is everything pizza should be, with a great wine list to boot (I recommend their Montepulciano by the glass -- it's an excellent pizza wine). read more

Pomo is awesome. Much better value than pizzeria bianco with a larger menu and bar options. I like the atmosphere better here than bianco as well. Our server was attentive and recommended us a fantastic bottle of wine paired with two pizzas we got - and this was at a birthday dinner with 20+ guests at one table. Haven't had a slice of Pomo's pie and am going through withdrawals. This place keeps it simple with countertop service serving up awesome pizzas, pastas, and sandwiches. I lived in Italy for awhile and have to say this was the closest I've had since my return. When compared to true Italian pizza, this was far closer and better than even Pizzeria Bianco. The best Napoletana pizza I've had outside Naples. We were visiting from out of town and chose this place based on yelp reviews. I had the Toto Sapore pizza, which did not disappoint. My mom ordered the Contadina and enjoyed every bite. Our waitress gave us great service and was very helpful since it was our first time. The chef was very friendly and generous. We received a complementary dessert and shot of crema di limoncello. This was the best crema di limoncello I've ever had, including my visit to Naples. read more

Had the Principe Pizza (prosciutto + arugula) and it tasted very fresh with a great balance of sauce, cheese and ingredients on an amazing crust. Food was absolutely delicious. I've ordered food for delivery from here and it never disappoints. I gave it 3 stars because the service and location itself wasn't so pleasant for me. It was my first time visiting the restaurant itself, I had made a reservation for two a day prior. Upon arriving I noticed they had all the doors and windows open even tho it was in the 90's outside. Flies kept buzzing around our food and drinks the entire time. Unfortunately at one point we had to leave a slice of pizza due to a fly sitting on it. It was hot, the A/C inside was working but it didn't mask the heat. Also, maybe the waitress was having a bad day but she was very short with us. At one point she just stared at us as we looked over the menu not saying a word until she said "Are you ready yet?". She just walked up, waited, staring as if we were wasting her time. My friend then said please and she went off to talk with the rest of the staff and came much later to take our order. Again, food is great, service not so much. read more

This place is my favorite restaurant next to Cibo, because if one gets flooded with tourists, the other can be a backup. This place offers quality pizza and great cannoli. They even have this food (I don't really know what it's called) that's easy to chew and taste like nothing so it's basically a vehicle for powdered sugar and chocolate sauce. Complete incompetence, waited 45 minutes no call on cell phone history, refused to let us talk to the manager. Said they called but clearly they didn't. Staff was rude. Great bruschetta and even greater pizza. I usually go to the Scottsdale location, but this place was even better. The staff was nice and friendly as well. Dear Lord, will you please put a Pomo in downtown Seattle? We stopped here last Sunday, was our last meal before leaving Phoenix and man am I glad it was this place. Came in for lunch and ordered the equivalent to a meat lover's pizza. The pizza was quite good and came out fast. Definitely had the brick oven flavor. But, I think the toppings were just ok, and the wait staff wasn't very attentive. I had to wait a long time to get refills on my water more than once, and he seemed distracted by side work when it wasn't even really that busy. There are plenty of good pizza spots in downtown Phx, so in order for me to want to come back, they'll have to step it up a bit more. read more

this place was really really awesome. my pizza was draped in prosciutto. yummmmmmmmmm i went with a group of 6 or so. and the only negative is the waiter guy did entirely forget my order and didn't check to see how we were until everyone else had finished their pizza practically. seems like an anomaly, honestly, based off these other reviews and the reputation this place has. so, can't fault them too bad. and i eventually did get my pizza and it was eventually amazing. must have just been the unlucky one that day. will still definitely go back at some point read more

Great dining experience. Pizza is great from the wood fired oven. Friendly service and efficient staff. What sent us over the top was the complimentary desert crisps after dinner followed by a lemoncello cream made by the owner that was out of this world.
