This is one of our favorite local places. Food is home cooked, with huge portions, and everything is delicious! The garden salad is so fresh with about 4-5 types of raw veggies with tomatoes and great salad dressings. Very homey cozy ambiance- small place with about 6-8tables. I was on the search for a good chicken parm sandwich, when I came across this restaurant on a basic google search. The service is phenomenal, as both the waitress and cook were both very nice. They both checked on me a few times and asked if I needed any more sauce and what not. The chicken parm sandwich came with a side salad, which I chose the Cesar. It was cold, fresh, and crisp, but it did lack enough dressing. The salad was pretty light on the dressing, otherwise it would've been great. The chicken parm sandwich was delicious. The bread it came on was nicely toasted with butter on the inside. Good portion. I'll be coming back to try other menu items. read more

My server was very nice. I ordered the eggplant parm. The eggplant was okay, however, it did not seem like fresh eggplant. The pasta on the side, I did not like at all. I took the leftovers because I did not want to seem rude. But I threw it away once I got home. Nor did I take it all in the to go box. This is my sixth time here and every time everything is amazing. The service is great (the gals have even started to recognize me and my friend), quick and super friendly. The food is brilliant! We always get the beet salad and between me, my friends and my family, have tried the following dishes: manicotti, penne a la vodka, chicken piccata, chicken Marsala, scampi (chicken and shrimp), carbonara (chicken and shrimp), veal parmigiana and pasta primavera. Ordered here on a Sunday afternoon, and was bummed they didn't offer delivery. However, when I went inside to pick it up, to my amazement, the decor was SO FREAKING CUTE. I absolutely loved it. It really is a little slice of Italy in that mini complex. That was a bit of a downside for me, though. The area seems a little sketch, and parking looks very abysmal. I'm sure there's street parking, but it seemed packed due to the apartments next door. Other than that, I thought the pizza was good. In the photos, the pies look amazing. Not sure what it was. I mean, it was good, but not absolutely wow'd by it. Althouuuggh, I do remember it tasting way better once I added the parmesan cheese. And the family liked it; definitely BETTER than those franchises. The service was alright. The older woman who handed me the food was a sweetie; unfortunately, the one who handled my money/transaction didn't smile or anything. Just another young server who maybe hates her job? I don't come off as crazy, impatient, or rude. Buuuuut it'd be nice if people in the food business smiled once in a while? Especially here in Aurora. What stole the show was the GARLIC KNOTS. This sweet little spot was a gem of a find. We're from out of town and we're here for a hospital-related reason. Imagine our pleasant surprise to have a relaxing, refreshing late lunch that felt like a perfectly curated celebration. Chicken cooked perfectly. Got to taste the masala which was brilliant. The food (and service!) was AMAZING! Fried Ravioli: Delishous! Hand made ravioli filled with fresh ricotta. Homemade and so flavorful. The marinara is also amazing! Chicken Parm: Yummy, not overdone or overly salty which happens a lot with this dish. All meat Calzone: Husband ordered this, said it's now his new favorite calzone. Perfect amount of cheese vs meat ratio. Garlic Knots: We got 3 for the table and the flavor of the dough was awesome. Garlic butter was amazing. Cannoli: YUMMY filling, the only negative was it was covered in Hershey's syrup. We went for lunch on Saturday and no one else was dining in, but they said it picks up in the evening. They are working on getting their liquor license. When we walked in, it was freezing inside, but the heat kicked on shortly after we sat down. Looks can be deceiving. Background: New Yorker blood runs in my veins and I am complete snob when it comes to NY-style Italian food. Living in Colorado has been difficult in finding great food places like I could back on the east coast and, frankly, I find it depressing at times. Anyway... While browsing /r/denver on Reddit I saw that *many* people had recommended Pomodoro. I admit I was reluctant to try it, yet another, potentially mediocre Italian place (with Sysco foods premade chicken, etc.) but it had been a while since I was disappointed so I figured, "HEY WHY NOT TODAY!?" The restaurant is the kind of simple, no frills, hole in the wall that I grew up eating at as a kid. So that started to get my hopes up a bit. We ordered mozzarella sticks, garlic knots, caesar salad, fettuccine alfredo, spaghetti, and chicken parmigiana. Overall the food was very good with a few notable exceptions. Our overall opinions and thoughts are: * The mozzarella sticks were not homemade. They were clearly from a food service pack. I got a little worried when they were served but we decided to keep going and see how the rest of dinner went. (I'm glad I did) * The Caesar salad was decent and big enough to feed 4 people. It wasn't the most amazing Caesar I've had but it certainly wasn't the worst either. * The garlic knots actually had flavor, dripping with olive oil with fresh minced garlic all over. Just like Momma Marcella used to make back home! * The alfredo and marinara sauces were good. The former was nice and creamy and the latter wasn't too sweet nor too acidic * The pasta isn't homemade and while that was a little disappointing to me personally, no one else in our party really noticed, and we acknowledge that it's so rare to find fresh pasta in restaurants these days, so we decided it wasn't a deal breaker * The chicken parmigiana servings were big and delicious. The chicken was nice and flat but not so thin that you had to worry about it getting dried out and tough. The breaded coating did a great job sucking up the sauce and the melted cheese plentiful and great * While not food related, I'll mention that the service was VERY fast. It was very refreshing So, in closing, yes, not everything was perfect but it was pretty darn good overall. So much so that we decided before the check even arrived that we'd definitely come back and try it again (and that's saying something). I have driven by this many times. Today we were looking for pizza nearby and saw the high rating on Yelp and to try it. We got take out Greek salad and a supreme and veggie pizza. We're excited to say that we have a new favorite and will be repeat customers. I know that anchovies are not a favorite of many, but I like them and have a few on the salad were a surprise and delight. The lettuce was fresh and crisp: nice touch. The supreme and veggie pizzas were both loaded with toppings and delectable. I also love that they're locally owned. Next time can't wait to try some of their highly rated pasta dishes. read more

Visiting from Texas, and all we have to say is the food was amazing! My husband had the chicken parm and I had the Mediterranean pizza. For appetizers we had cesar salad and buffalo wings. I am not typically one to write reviews but I just have to give proper praise to this restaurant. I came to Aurora on vacation and decided to have Pomodoro as my first meal in town. The food and service was incredible. I came to the restaurant solo but I felt as though I were there with family. My waitress was so friendly and patient. She checked in on me with great timing and always with a smile. I ordered the spinach pinwheels and chicken parm. Let me tell you, the portion sizes are extremely generous and I did have a lot leftover to take home. The spinach pinwheels were the perfect amount of creamy/cheesy and breading. It came with 3 pinwheels and they could easily be split amongst a group of 4+. The chicken parm was also wonderful. The chicken was crispy but juicy. The spaghetti sauce tasted homemade. There was a side of garlic knots that was a little doughy but in a good, pull-apart kind of way. I was so pleased with this experience. If you are on the fence, you will not be disappointed. Since this is a smaller building, tables are meant for parties of 4 but I'm sure they could pull a couple of tables together for larger groups. On a side note, while sitting there eating and observing, a customer came in with a cane and looked to be struggling to walk. When her to-go order was ready, my waitress held the door open to help the customer outside. The waitress then proceeded to take the food to the customer's car for her and chat with her for a minute. Everything was well cooked and seasoned beautifully. Their sauce was well balanced with garlic and fresh tomatoes. The chicken Parmesan was cooked beautifully and rich and juicy and paired well with al dente pasta! Their vodka sauce was creamy with a nice combination of cheese and the penne soaked it up. Being that we trust Yelp, we saw this place had five stars and decided to drive 20 minutes to check it out. I'm glad we did. It's a small family owned place that seats around 28 and really good music playing in the background. Super nice and attentive service. I had the sea bass special for $30 and well worth it. Great tasting and sufficient amount to get you full. My wife had the chicken piccata which was equally as good. The entrees came with garlic knots.
