A long time Family owned business. A large selection. If I lived here I might get them occasionally. The pizza is made, cooled and then reheated; like in NYC. It was fine. I was hoping for great. Probably my bad.

I had take out from here before a while ago so it was somewhat familiar. It is holiday time and there were parties in rooms. You walk into a large area with tables and decor. Walk up and choose food service so a long counter with deferent types of offerings for pizza, salad, what I call a Stromboli and other items. I ordered a meatball sandwich and slice of pepperoni. Husband got an Italian Stromboli and combo slice. His slice was crispier than mine so I was jealous. The meatballs were eh but the bread and sauce was good. Soda selection was good and husband enjoyed the fresh beer. It's an okay spot in a pinch as we had a long day and needed something. Not sure if I would go as a planned thing.

Food was phenomenally prepared like Nonna would! My favorite gelato is cassata!! Yummmm .... Temperatures & lighting here are ideal!!! Television is airing some type of sports or ESPN. Service is traditionally conducted with a smile! Patio area is available for your leisure. Party area is upstairs. Smaller party room is by the washrooms. Couple different free parking lots behind the restaurant. Clear sign out front to show you where.

This is a great place for a casual dinner with a friend. It's very casual and there's alot of seating. The pizza and minestrone soup were delicious but I want to go back and try other stuff.

Swung by Pompei for lunch recently. The place was pretty busy. You order at the counter, then food is delivered to your table. We selected the Italian salad, fried cheese ravioli, and a pepperoni pizza. The best part of our meal was the Italian Salad by far. It was delicious. Ravioli and pizza were good too, but nothing really special.

Pretty ok food, nothing to write home about. Good seating options and able to order pretty easily as well. Went on a Friday night and was pretty open. People are nice and the food came out pretty quick. Decent ish prices, the more expensive things mostly aren't worth it.

Good, authentic Italian Food. We bought pizza by the slice (2 big squares of pan style pizza per order) and split a chopped salad big enough for two, served with complimentary fresh Italian bread and butter. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Pasta is amazing with several sauce options. Assorted Stromboli (delicious fillings stuffed between layers of dough), specials of the day and homemade cannoli, lemon knots, cheesecake and chocolate frosted cake. Yum! Located on Taylor Street (one of the last few restaurants in Little Italy

Cafeteria style so no tip required. You wait on line to choose what you want and you pay then you find a seat. Upstairs dining also. Easy to eat and enjoy eating w friends and family or alone. Big place and on the strip of Taylor Street in Little Italy with all the other Italian places. Food is good and many options for pasta and pizza and so much more. I like the no waiter or waitress concept bc you feel good that you don't have to feel pressure to tip and more money goes to finding good eats.

Good, quick fast Italian. Staff was great with recommendations and service to table. Affordable and reasonably priced. Great crunchy cannoli...you can tell filled to order, it wasn't soggy. Pizza was tasty and crispy. Soup was homemade and delicious. Large, seat your self dining area. Some private rooms available too. If I was in the area I would go again.

Our favorite carry out place for Italian . It's an old school restaurant with authentic dishes . Family favorites are chicken ravioli, chicken Vesuvius and variety of the pizzas

I came here with a small group on Saturday @5pm and it was jammed packed. We had to wait for a table. A little heads up "free parking" is extremely limited. I would say maybe 20 spots available? It's probably easier to just do paid street parking. Inside, the place was really cute. Dining area is big and spacious. You order at the register and then they bring your food to your table. I got the sausage pizza and a Mediterranean salad. The sausage pizza is pretty standard, but nonetheless delicious. The salad was a bit odd, not what I was expecting (green beans threw me off), but it worked! The calamari was standard and their house made fry chips were so delicious! They were well seasoned and crispy. Overall, great food for the value. I have nothing to complain about and I would come here again.

The servers kept staring at us when we walked in, it was like 5-8 of them standing behind the counter just chilling and talking, not really comforting when a lot of people are staring at you as you're trying to place an order. The atmosphere was a lot, it felt like we were in a dome in Rome, overwhelming amount of tables, a lot of artwork on the walls. Prices were high, but it makes sense for the area it's in too. We ordered fries, garlic cheese bread, and two pastas. The bread & fries, they were pretty good. The pasta was just a basic normal pasta, not too extravagant or different. Nothing stood out to me too much. But one of the male serves was nice and was helpful.

We ordered the pepperoni deep dish and the pepperoni tavern style. The deep dish arrives in a cast iron pan, featuring caramelized crust that edges on burnt for a perfect, crispy crunch. The base is thick and doughy, layered with some mozzarella, a tasty sauce, and slightly charred pepperoni. The tavern style provides a nice contrast. Served cut into squares, it has a solid thin crust that holds up nicely under some melted cheese and loads of flat pepperoni. This remains my absolute favorite deep dish in Chicago, and I go anytime I'm in town visiting. Pro tip: Make a reservation well in advance because walk-in wait times get incredibly long.

My sister made reservations ahead of time, so we got seated quickly on the 2nd floor. We did have to have the large booth cleaned as there was pop on the seats and lots of crumbs in the corners of the booth. Kinda not so cool when we got there at 11:30, shortly after they opened. We ordered a small salad, a large pan pizza (this is not deep dish people...it's more like a round Detroit style pizza) w/just cheese and a large tavern style w/half sausage and half pepperoni w/the pepperoni on top of the cheese. Service was good, if not slow. Of course, you have to wait for the pan pizza, but we knew that. The tavern style came out first, just as we ordered it and piping hot. While the pizza was good, the crust wasn't as crispy as we care for. It was super cheesy...so we got some good cheese pull there. The pan came out and looked good, but when it came to cheese pull, it left a lot to be desired. The caramelized crust is good, but the pan pizza was nothing that blew our socks off. Decent, yes, but not that noteworthy. Would i go back?? All i can say is i wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again, but if i was near in a pinch, it would suffice.

However we arrived earlier than scheduled and we ended up getting settled at our hotel so we walked and went in early. We arrived at 4pm and they let us in - was perfect because it wasn't busy. It's my son's first visit to Chi-town so I think this is a good first meal. We got the Chicago meatballs so we can eat something as the deep dish pizza takes 30 mins. The meatballs are flavorful and filled us up until we get our pizza. We picked the Malnati's Chicago classic - medium. The butter crust is really good and the cheese to meet ratio is balanced. While it is deep dish - it didn't feel like it's super thick, I think the butter crust was the difference. It was quiet when we arrived and we were seated in the dining area by the back in the ground level. There was only 1 group and another couple when we arrived so it wasn't loud. I'm sure when it's peak hours it'll be more festive and busy. Great first meal - order some starters if you're hungry. Medium was quite big for 2 people but good if you want to have some slices to-go.

We came with a party of six and had a reservation for six, but our table felt more appropriate for four people. The restaurant itself is spacious, so it was disappointing that we felt so cramped. We started with the calamari, which I really enjoyed. The batter was light and crispy without feeling greasy. We also shared the seafood pizza, duck prosciutto pizza, cup and char pepperoni pizza, and the gnocchi. All three pizzas were delicious, with very thin and crispy crusts. The seafood pizza came with a soup or broth that you could pour over it, which was nice and it also came with so much seafood. The cheese was slightly firm, but the pizza was still flavorful and enjoyable. The duck prosciutto had a noticeable duck aroma, melty cheese, and a rich, savory flavor. The cup and char pepperoni pizza was satisfying as well, especially the pepperoni with its crisp, curled edges. The gnocchi was another standout. It was satisfyingly chewy with a great texture and bold flavor. We finished with the tiramisu, which was light, balanced, and not overly sweet. Overall, the food was delicious and the waterfront setting made for a lovely dinner. I just wish we had been seated at a more comfortable table for our party size.
