They will make you a special, even if they don't have the special you want that day, if they have all the ingredients. There is only one complaint. Why aren't they EVERYWHERE!?!?!?!? For reals, there should be a Pancho & Lefkowitz on every corner. At least a few in every town, but with clones of the awesome guys who work there. For reals. All teh specials are the bomb. Great food and probably the best lunch prices in mount shasta. We got the lunch special and a quesadilla which they were able to put on a corn tortilla for me. Not huge portions but perfect for lunch, and quality food beats quantity. Chicken was in a delicious sauce and very tender, the grilled veggies on the lunch special were perfectly grilled and not over seasoned with a nice portion size for bell peppers! Our family has eaten here off and on since Keith was in front of Payless in his tiny little portable. Yes, before Payless was bought by Rite aid) in the snow we would eat in his "heated dining" tent. Loved the dogs then and love them now in his (fairly new, actually 10plus yrs.) location. Our daughters ate there for lunch all through high school. Tasty, slightly unconventional food. The sausages are nice and tasty, and I found the "infamous fish taco" to be pretty good as well. The price is a little bit high - about $4-5 for a slightly small portion. Still, I would say it was worth it. An interesting place that's worth going to if you're just stopping by town. read more

Great little place! We stopped by for lunch on our walk through Mt. Shasta. The place seemed busy, but the wait wasn't as long as expected for the amount of people ordering. I ordered two fish tacos, and my husband had the Big Nasty. Both were amazing! The fish tacos were flavorful and the cream sauce was delicious. My husband wasn't able to try any because I ate both. :) His burrito was also very good. When we come back to Mt. Shasta, we will try to stop here again. read more

Very under whelming food. This is a big local hangout, however ownwership has changed within the last 2 years and the food is not the same. This is Tex-Mex food and I cannot speak to the dog,sausage menu. We waited over 30 minutes to get our sub par food. We had 4 tacos a burrito and a side if rice. My husband handed me the bag with the tacos and burrito. It was so light I thought we only got half our order. The tacos had about a tablespoon of meat in them, nothing like you see pictured. Burrito was small with mostly rice and beans and again very little meat. Both chicken and steak were cooked on the same gooey uncleaned grill so they taste the same. Mind you we got there less than 30 minutes after they opened andcthe grill was a mess. They ran out of steak within 45 minutes of opening. I think people like this place because for My Shasta it is a cheap meal. If you like a thick flour tortilla and beans and rice you might be alright. For us we will be er go back . We prefer authentic mexican food. One tip is go over to Berryvale during your long wait and get your chips and salsa. You will have something to eat while you wait and you will get more for your money. Also do not let a short line fool you as the locals call their orders in. There maybe 10 orders in front of yours. You can only make so much so fast in a 25 ft trailer. read more

This is stationary food truck with one restroom. But it does have 5 tables in an air conditioned alcove. The menus choices are varied polish sausage, hot dogs, etc. And tamales, fish tacos (yum!) , nachos, etc. and even a veggie taco! My man says the tamale comes with a hot! Salsa. Burritos are incredible and a very reasonable price. Take your food with your or eat it at one of the picnic tables near the food stand. They don't take credit cards, so bring cash (or a check if you're local). This is probably the best burrito you can get in the area. read more

This hotdog cart comes with great service and great food. I personally think that you can't go wrong with the polish dog so that is what I'll recommend to you. You can get something else but it probably won't be as delicious as a polish dog. We are longtime customers of Pocho and Lefkowitz. Sadly, since the ownership has changed, the quality of the food just isn't the same. It is my understanding the new owners are using the same recipes, but the food is just okay as opposed to being great (as it use to be).
