Menu changes slightly! But the food was decent. Not sure if they specialize in their sausages before their tacos and burritos, but the food was just pretty good. The service was very kind and the people were amazing. It is only outdoor seating and cash only. It's in Mt Shasta City so everyone was so kind.

    The owner!

We never miss the chance to stop here on our way up the 5. We live in Long Beach and dream of these burritos. Google said they were closed today (on Monday) but we took a chance and went by anyway and they were open! Yay! We highly recommend this place. Thanks Poncho & Lefkowitz!

I live in the Bay Area and there is nothing even close to this! Chicken tacos are our favorite!

This is the best taco stand in 'Merica. Portions are huge and they're also kid friendly.

Burritos are good, but they need a little more spice.

We wanted to make reservations for dinner on a Thursday but no one answered the phone. We decided to head over to the restaurant a few minutes before we planned to dine with friends only to discover they weren't open and a hand lettered writing on the door said they were closed Thursdays and Sundays. We did return the next evening, now knowing that they would be open on Friday. The restaurant shares an entryway with a popular bar. It was amusing watching people enter the main door and then turn one way or the other to enter a business, only to realize they want the other door. I saw a few families with little kids start towards the bar and then turn to the restaurant. Groups in motorcycle jackets did the reverse. A signboard at the entrance to the restaurant invites customers to choose a table and then help themselves to chips and salsa. My husband and I split an entrée and it was more then enough for the both of us. Portion sizes are generous. The food was very good. Much better than Casa Ramos or Puerto Vallarta. If you want Mexican food in Mount Shasta, stay away from those chains and go to La Perla for a much better meal at reasonable prices to boot. We enjoyed the background music, with songs from the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simon, The Proclaimers.

My husband and I shared a combo platter and I requested no avocado but substitute extra sour cream, not only were they accommodating but the service at this restaurant is very friendly and makes every effort to make sure that their customers are satisfied with the service and the food came out hot and delicious and just as we had ordered. Portion size was really good and the flavor was on point. One of the employees said that they were at their new location for only 2 weeks and everything seem to be running very very smoothly and efficiently. Love to the decor and everything looked fresh and well decorated to make for a wonderful atmosphere. We had the combo plate which we selected a shredded beef chimichanga, chicken enchilada, refried beans, rice and I requested substitute extra sour cream for the guacamole. The warm chips, salsa and bean dip were a really good start to out meal. If you're in town or live in the area you really should give this place a try if you haven't already. 10/10

The last 2 times the meals were really bland. No flavor or spices. Not what you would expect from a Mexican Resturant. Really boring. Not impressed. I'll think again before going back.
