I have to say, seeing a sausage place in Mt Shasta, I wasn't to sure of what to expect. After all, it was just the wooden building. Boy was I shocked when I took that first bite of my Louisiana Hot Link. The flavors just popped in my mouth and the fresh roll. A great combination. The strawberry lemonade wasn't too sweet, but it complimented the meal. Can't go wrong with this little find, great food at great prices. Will definitely stop by again on my travels :-) read more

This place is amazing! And the food is delicious. And the prices are great. I went here for lunch and got a spicy Italian sausage and shared it with my friend. Filled us both up and it was less than 5 bucks! I was so excited about this place that I went another time the same day. My wife and a friend were heading to McCloud falls to go for a hike and we stopped to get some food because I wanted to go again and had pumped them up about it too. We ordered three chicken supremo burritos. They were so good! Definitely will become a regular to this place. Love everything about it. read more

This place is really delicious! My wife and I both got the jambalaya special. I'm pretty sure it weighed 6lbs. The food itself was amazing as well, though they may have gone a little overboard on the spices/seasonings. That and when I got the strawberry lemonade, there was more ice than liquid. Do not go on Wednesdays!!! It took 40 minutes to get a taco and a burrito. They were not slammed by any means. Turns out, that's the new owners day off. That's right. New owner of a restaurant takes a day off with his new restaurant. I worked in the restaurant business for over thirty years and never did an owner that just started a business take a day off. I have noticed this trend on the days he is not there. Really slow service and sometimes with a bit of an attitude.However, the food is the best in town so, just pick a different day to go folks! read more

My hubby, two little ones, and I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for a quick bite. Talk about exceeding expectations! We got the specials (Jambalaya burrito & Crispy Pork quesadilla), and were blown away. The burro wasn't too spicy, packed with a lot of flavor. The quesadilla was phenomenal! The little ones shared a plain dog and the portion was right on for them to split and they ate it all! Great, quick service with a smile. The sun was out, so we enjoyed the outdoor seating, but for those rainy/snow days there is seating inside. I can't wait to stop in again next time we're visiting Mt. Shasta, or even just getting off the I-5 for a meal on the road. read more

We had a chicken burrito and a beans and rice burrito. The tortilla tasted fresh. The burritos was not huge but just right. This is not your chain store Chipotle.. The taste was fresh and there was delicious hot sauce available to add to the burrito.all in all, we had a great meal for under $12 for 2. I am really glad I tried this place. It is definitely worth it if you are passing through town.The only thing I would think would make the place even better is service with a smile. I first placedanorder for a burrito with chicken and cheese in it. Within seconds, I realized I wanted it without cheese. When I told the person at the counter, he seemed to frown at my change. I have eaten here three times. I'm pretty sure I wont do it again. The first time I had fish tacos which were deep fried breaded fish and the fish was not fresh, nor was the oil it was fried in. A year or so ago I wanted to try the pulled pork quesadilla which I found was only offered on Friday, so I ordered a polish sausage sandwich. I think the cook grabbed the wrong sausage because it was too spicy to eat. They offer a spicy Italian which they warn is very spicy so I'm guessing that's what happened. Today I went to town thinking I would get some tamales from the vendor by the car wash but he was not there so I opted for the Big Kahuna burrito special at P & L. It was big. It had a nice touch of sweetness from the pineapple but the chicken was dark meat, which is ok if its prepared well but dark meat chicken frequently comes with chunks of inedible gristle and this was no exception. The burrito was prepared with cabbage which I really like but the cabbage was not shredded. Some of the chunks were really large and cut too close to the core so they were woody and tough and had also been soaked in something that tasted like clorox bleach. Once I had that flavor in my mouth I couldn't eat any more of it. Pretty disappointing on all three trips. I'm not sure why everyone raves about it unless the pulled pork Quesadillas are just to die for. I may never find out. read more

This place is fine. I like that they press their burritos so that the tortilla is a little crispy. I got the grilled veggie burrito special, but I got it vegan so maybe that's why it was a little tasteless? The carrot juice was good and a nice option. All in all I think this place is fine for a quick bite but nothing special. read more

Nice food. Call and make sure they have food before you go. Went there an hour before they close on a Wednesday they only had fish. Ordered fish tacos. When we got the food felt we needed more asked if we could order couple more fish tacos and he said he is out of fish too. He started grilling some tomatoes and said he could only give rice and beans in a bowl. read more

We have been going to Keith's joint for many years except when he closed it for awhile. Glad to have him back. We plan our trips from Cohasset,Ca. To Oregon for lunch at his place that always plays the blues. Any of their food is better than anywhere else.recommended them for Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Only bad thing....they close at 3pm but I have called ahead and good ole Keith has been there for us. You will go once and be like us...converts! read more
