The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Our waiter, Chris, went above and beyond by turning on both big-screen TVs: one showing the World Cup and the other showing the Spurs and Knicks basketball game, which definitely made the guys in our party happy! Everyone enjoyed their food, the SeaVenture dish didn't come out to the table hot, the sauce was warm. The restaurant has a beautiful ocean view; unfortunately, the weather was overcast the weekend we visited, so we didn't get the full experience of the view. I believe that accusations of discrimination should never be made lightly. However, what happened next left me deeply unsettled. The hostess walked over to several servers who were gathered near the kitchen area. From where I was sitting, it appeared she was trying to find someone to serve me. None of the servers responded until a young woman standing near the register said out loud, "I'll just help him." At that moment, I couldn't help but wonder what was happening. I was the only Black customer in the restaurant. There were more servers than guests, several employees had made eye contact with me, and yet no one had come to my table. Whether intentional or not, I was made to feel overlooked and unimportant. When the server finally came to my table, I only ordered an appetizer because I was seriously considering leaving. I had specifically come for the fried green tomatoes, so I decided to stay. Even then, the appetizer took another 15 minutes to arrive, while other customers continued receiving their food and drinks at what appeared to be a normal pace in a restaurant that was not busy. Eventually, my entrée arrived, but for the remainder of my visit I felt completely ignored. When it was time to leave, I walked to the front to pay my bill myself. Despite how I felt, I still left a tip because I believe in treating people with kindness and respect regardless of my experience. I'm sharing this review not out of anger, but because I want management to understand how this experience made me feel. I left feeling disrespected, overlooked, and expendable. Whether what happened was intentional or simply poor service, the impact was the same. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location, and I sincerely hope no one else leaves feeling the way I did.

We decided to celebrate my husband's birthday last night at Pono Pacific Kitchen, and it turned out to be an excellent choice! From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were enveloped by its elegant atmosphere. We could tell ambiance set the perfect tone for an unforgettable dining experience. We were warmly welcomed by a delightful and joyful gentleman named Clay. Clay's extensive knowledge of the menu, having personally tried each dish, was impressive. He patiently answered all our questions and even suggested the perfect wine pairing to enhance our dining experience. We began with the small plates, each a delightful surprise. The She Crab Soup was delicate, light - like eating a whisper. The Bautista Farms Romaine Caesar was out of this world; the dressing, with its perfect hint of anchovy, crispy capers, and fresh shrimp, was outstanding. For our main courses, we indulged in two large plates. The California Swordfish was cooked to perfection, resting on a bed of au gratin potatoes, topped with grilled maitake mushrooms and bordelaise sauce, and accompanied by grilled Hayashi Farms broccolini. It was divine. The Pacific Halibut was a mysterious and delightful dish. The shoestring frites topped the grilled halibut, with Chavez Farms cauliflower dotting the plate's circumference. The Mussel Billi Bi surrounded the halibut like mussel gargoyles protecting this precious fish, creating a festival of luscious flavors. Let's talk dessert: imagine a Chocolate Mochi Cake, a delightful fusion of chewy mochi and rich chocolate.
