Our server was very nice and friendly. The food came out pretty quickly. The halibut was crispy on the outside tender on the inside, which is perfect. I highly recommend Getting the halibut fish and chips. The clown chowder looked delicious so we asked for a sample and we were actually happy that we did not order it. I would suggest asking for a sample before ordering it. We will definitely come back though. The fish and chips are yummy.

My parents used to love to come here for authentic fish and chips on a Friday. Just like in the UK

Just a few blocks from some of the long line fish and chips, totally worth the walk. Our server was very attentive and didn't let my cup empty. Very old school, no nonsense interior, but makes you really appreciate the food. The fish and chips were great, amazing batter and seasoned fish. The fries were cooked the way i like, but needed salt. Clam chowder had great layers of flavors. The fired clams, however, were kind of a disappointment. In an area with gigantic clams, these were mostly batter. Order the fish and chips, you'll be fine.

Coming to the beach means coming here to the best fish and chips and clam chowder in Pismo . We left so full , ordered all our favorites. The onion tower is so delicious and we got to see Juan the absolute best server there is . It was a busy Friday night but that didn't stop him from giving us amazing customer service!

Angle view of outside of restaurant so you can see the cement table and chairs and option to eat outside.

Clam chowder!!!!! Mouthwatering, delectable comforting. Every bite was a taste sensation. Absolutely incredible keep up the good work.

Fish and chips and clam chowder to go!!

Three times a year we visit Pismo and we Have to eat here at least 3-4 times during our stay! We love the food and the amazing employees ! The clam chowder is the best! We usually do the fish and chips, but I sometimes have to eat your cole slaw it is so good! Over the years We have had your shrimp cocktail large and small, and shrimp Louie salad! We will always come back, as soon as we set up camp we head over and pick up dinner the rest of the week we are at the restaurant! We will be seeing you soon!

Chowder wasn't hot and didn't have any flavor. Swordfish was way too salty and I like salt. Maybe should've tried the fish in chips.

I opened Apple Maps and…read morechecked the pismo beach area and Ventana Grill was the first restaurant that stood out to me based on location, therefore, I made a reservation. Note that the parking lot, depending on which day you go, can fill up very quickly. The location is right off of the 101 and easy to find. We checked in and was seated within 10 minutes at a booth that overlooked the beautiful views of the Pismo Beach coast line. Our server, a younger black woman, who told us her nickname was 'TiTi', if I'm not mistaken, was wonderful. Her personality and hospitality was infectious and exceeded 5 stars. She brought us fresh hot corn and flour tortillas with a small cup of brown sugar butter and three different salsas to try. Everything was delicious. We ordered the surf and turf special which was a jumbo shrimp on top of a filet mignon that rested on mash potatoes and a creamy/savory white sauce. We also ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. Everything was exceptionally good. My only takeaway would be that I found the food, especially the lobster Mac and cheese to be pretty salty. Definitely excited for my next visit.

He spoke very quickly, didn't smile and seemed to just want to get through the order. In addition, his accent made it even harder to understand. Our drink order was messed up. They gave us the wrong drink as a freebie which we didn't like. I guess to make up for the mix up. Then our dinner came immediately before our tortillas as appetizers. Catch of the day was sea bass with a few veggies and rice. Definitely not special. The flourless chocolate cake was dry. Overall a very underwhelming dinner. So sad. Probably not going back.

We got bread to start and it was a sourdough yeast roll which was delicious. We got the oysters and they were medium sized and came with a delicious sauce. Very fresh and delicious. For entrees, my husband got the porterhouse which came cooked nicely. I got the seafood linguine and it was delicious. It came with a shrimp, scallops, muscles, clams, salmon, and I believe it was cod. For dessert, we got the lava chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and it was also delicious. Overall, service was great and friendly. Will definitely be back. The location, price, and food were all great! I highly recommend!

I go to steakhouses almost every time I travel, it's kind of my thing, so I know what a solid experience should look like. We started with the coconut shrimp special, and unfortunately it was undercooked. The shrimp were large and butterflied, but some pieces weren't fully pink inside and still had raw batter, which was a big miss. I also ordered a virgin piña colada with strawberry purée, expecting a blended drink, but it came out over ice and tasted more like a watered-down juice. I don't drink alcohol, so I was really looking forward to something refreshing, and it would've been nice if the server mentioned they don't offer blended drinks. The steak itself was actually not bad--tender, nicely seared, and the sauce on it was really good. That was definitely the highlight. But the sides didn't hold up. The potatoes tasted like they came straight out of a box, and the vegetables were under-seasoned and overcooked. For a place that markets itself as a steakhouse, it just didn't deliver.
