I took my small poodle in for grooming and shortly after dropping her off Ellie, the groomer, called me and said she had "nicked" my pup under her front leg and wasn't going to finish the grooming. I understand things can go wrong but she didn't "nick" her, there is a good sized gash under her front leg in the pit. When she showed me the picture she had taken I asked if the dog needed stitches and Ellie replied, "I don't know; I'm not a vet." I said if I needed to go to the vet I assumed they would pick up the vet bill and she said she needed to discuss it with her boss. I am furious there would even be a question that they wouldn't reimburse me. I would never go back to this business again. read more

I'm sad to report that my dogs got Sarcoptic Mange from going to this groomer. My Bichon and Mini Poodle are home bodies. They don't go anywhere except our back yard for exercise. There is just no other place they could have got the Sarcoptic Mange and they manifested symptoms about 6 weeks after they were there. In retrospect, I realized this groomer does not check for shots or if their clients come with flea prevention or any other kind of medical condition. In that environment, it would be only a matter of time before something like this would happen. I bought some supplies and will be grooming them myself. I started with shaving my poor babies down to help treat their Sarcoptic Mange. They won't look perfect, but at least they'll be healthy and I won't be inconvenienced with having to de-mite my house and pets. read more

Magenta used her moms reputation and well as her reputation to get people that knew her and her mom's business to send her deposits on some puppies. Let's just say she never showed up to deliver the puppy. She won't send me my money back nor respond. It's obvious now she is on drugs. I have been a customer of Poodies Pet Palace for years or else I would have never sent her money through Zelle. I am just devastated and super hurt! Please be aware!!! Had I reviewed Poodie's at the beginning of 2020 I would have given five stars. We began to take our poodle here since we moved to Washington and when he passed we took our new poodle here as well. Issues with Poodie's developed when we started to bring our standard poodle here. Last summer he was given the completely wrong hair cut weeks before our micro wedding. We moved past that and continued to bring our pup here because the groomers are friendly and it's close to home. Over the last two weeks I've left multiple messages for an appointment with no response. I didn't realize that business are ghosting people now too. read more

We recently had our poodle-mix groomed here. Although we gave detailed instructions, the results were not good. Nails were not trimmed, ears were almost unclipped and muzzle was cut too short. we do not recommend this place and will not return! read more

My new favorite place to bring my pooches to for nail trims. Cooper is a scaredy-cat when it comes to nail trims but these gals turned it out. One held him while giving gentle rubs and good boy whispers while the other did a gentle cut and grind. It was awesome. I'll be back! read more

I've been taking my pup (Habibi Bear) for the past 4 months after my friend had been taking her Havanese there for years. Every time I take her in I feel like she is treated (and myself) like one of the family. It is reassuring to know that she is being well cared for there since she is there usually 3+ hours. They did implement a $3.50 service charge for using a CC but I totally understand as this is a small business. I will probably just try to pay in cash my next visit. I have been going to Poodie's for 3 dogs=many years. My fur babies and I couldn't be more pleased! The groomers love dogs and it really shows when they handle and talk to them. If there's something not quite right after a groom, call and they'll have you bring your dog in to get it corrected. Cheryl will do everything she can to find time on the day and time you want, but remember they do get booked out, so keep that in mind when calling for an appt! Love this place. Located in an a bit of obscure place. Driven by this place so many times before we actually took our pup there. Located across from the Renton Library. Initially I went because my poor pooch waited over two hours at Pets Smart in Renton and nothing had been done except a shampoo. Because of my busy schedule I called a Poodies to see if we could get her in ASAP. They took her right away, charges us less bc she had just gotten a wash at the big box store. She was done in an hour and was beautiful! I have been going there ever since. The owner is amazing and shared with me she only chooses groomers who take care of your pup and if there are any signs they are being rough with your pet she lets them go. It is reassuring that she watches closely that your pet is being cared for with such love and gentle hands. Their pricing is super reasonable. My small 10lb dog is $50 plus an optional tip if you want. I've been to a lot of places that have easily charged at least $60+ and didn't do as good of a job. Don't get me wrong I don't mind paying $70 or so for a great groomer but something was always off. Poor cut, no dew claw cut, rough hands. Poodies never fails. Great groomers, amazing owner, and overall lovely place. Highly recommend! read more

Store smells SO strongly of dog, I understand that it's a dog groomer but it was overwhelmingly strong. Some of their products are overpriced (30$ for a 5 inch dog birthday cake), and the one item I purchased (a keychain) fell apart within minutes of me owning it and now I have to glue it together again. Very disappointing and I was very excited to visit and give my business. The employees were nice, the store is a cute idea, but I was very disappointed in this experience. read more

If you care about your pet, bring them here for grooming! I used to alway go to Petco or Petsmart before but after coming here once, I will never bring my dog to another groomer. My mini-Golden doodle actually doesn't mind getting a haircut here and always wants to say goodbye to his groomer. There's a lot of reviews for smaller dogs on Yelp for Poodie's Pet Palace and one of my two dogs I brought here was a corgi so everything about how great my dogs looked goes for her too. But seeing as there's not too many reviews about grooming for bigger dogs - it's fantastic! Got my super active rain-loving Australian Shepherd groomed here and she looks so beautiful. I was embarrassed bringing her in lol. The staff gets extra kudos because I got hung up picking up my separate-anxiety suffering dogs dug to a bee sting (or should I say "I got stung up" hahahaha) and I could practically hear my dogs panicking from the parking lot. I wanted to give this place a chance since the reviews seemed great and my experience from yesterday leading up to just now were all pretty good. I received great customer service yesterday when I booked an appointment for 2:30 pm today. The women who helped me at the front desk as well as the groomer who gave me a quote were both extremely nice and helpful. When giving me my quote she said it shouldn't take too long for a bath and tidy and that Erica had an opening for 2:30 today. I took the appointment and showed up just now. There was a stark contrast between my experience with the shop yesterday and today. Erica was flat out rude. It's the worse example of customer service I've EVER had anywhere. There was no greeting when I walked in the door. Not a hello or hi. I had to tell her what I was there for. She said nothing to my dog (odd since this place promises to treat your pets like royalty) and silence while she filled out a form save for asking for my information. There was NOTHING friendly about her. Once I signed the form she said she would give me a call when my dog was finished so I asked how long. She told me it would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I was under the impression it wouldn't take that long for just a bath & tidy up. When I expressed my surprise she said in a VERY rude tone as if I was stupid that "WELLLLLL" she didn't know how my dog would do with the bath and dryer and that she still had to finish up another dog. I understand that. But the manner & tone she responded with was completely unnecessary. Her response took me by complete surprise and I DID NOT feel comfortable having her groom my dog or go anywhere near him. I told her I'd rather cancel my appointment to which she rudely expressed "I made that appointment for you! I set time aside...!" True. But Poodie Pet Palace would be wise to hire a groomer with better customer service and manners. I would NOT bring your dog or make an appt with Erica. I told her I'd never been treated that way as I left the shop to which she replied "likewise." Erica gets 0 stars. Some basic customer service recommendations for Poodie's: say HI to your customers & don't talk down to them (go figure, right). Explain that grooming appointments vary and ask about their pet. If she had even been nice to my dog or shown any attention to him period and hadn't been SO rude I might have been willing to leave my dog in her hands. But she seemed like someone who shouldn't be working with animals. Or people. Chalk it up to a bad day but I won't be giving them my business any time soon. Sorry Poodie's. I'm sad to longer be able to recommend or give my business to Poodie's Pet Palace. Simply put, it comes down to policy. They recently implemented a policy of charging $3.50 to use a credit card. In a world where people are increasingly using less cash, they are going to charge this fee? As a matter of principle I won't go to businesses that charge credit card fees, and I certainly am not going to pay $3.50, especially when most other places (whom I also avoid) charge less than a dollar. When I told them I'd probably not be back, and that I'd rather they build all their costs of doing business into the advertised price, she said it was a service to those who want to use checks, as an example. Last time I checked, accepting checks was less common, and as a general rule is riskier for the merchant because of the amount of "rubber" checks out there. read more

Dog moms worst nightmare left my sweet poodle here for the full works and picked her up with big black scabs on both her ears. She acted different for over a week ! Hiding her face, holding her ears in her paws! Extremely out of character for her! It was heartbreaking, you could tell she was in pain. I was very nervous picking a place for my pups first haircut but I am very pleased on how everything went! With my work schedule it was difficult to get my pup in early enough for me to make it to work on time & late enough to where I could make it on time to pick her up. They were extremely flexible with me & her cut was so clean! My main concern was her anal glands & they were cleaned up beautifully. They even tried to put bows and a bandana on her which I thought was so sweet even though I knew she wouldn't keep it on for long. I've been taking my dog to Poodie's Pet Palace for the past 2 years and I couldn't be happier with their service. One reviewer said the groomer was rude. This was a short term groomer who has since been let go, and she doesn't represent Poodie's at all. The owner, Cheryl and regular groomer, Winnie always have a smile on their face and I feel perfectly at ease giving them my business. I have a Lhasa Apso and she's always beautifully groomed when I pick her up, complete with a cute bow. Called and got a reservation right away. The staff were all super friendly and nice. Made me feel comfortable to leave my dog there. They gave our maltipoo a fabulous haircut, and she looked ratchet before. There is lots of cute doggy items and outfits in their retail section as well as provided parking right in front of the shop. I liked them so much I am bringing another one of our dogs in tomorrow for a trim! Dizzy loves her hair cut! Also they don't douse the dogs in perfume, which is great. Poodie's Pet Palace is by far the best grooming/pet stores that I have been to. I have taken my chihuahua Dizzie 4 times and she always looks fabulous when I pick her up. She gets more pampered then I ever have been ( I usually have her groomed with a facial and a pawdicure). The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Poodie's has changed the groomers in the last 8 months or so, ever since than the customer service as been completely rude over the phone as well as in person. The owner has always been the sweetest and the most understand, as well as being amazing at communication. Mind you that I was 20 mins late to my appointment, so there was my fault in it but as I was leaving the groomer gave me attitude to pick up my dog as soon as possible, I spoke up and stated that could be said without any attitude. Insistently I get a respond that she doesn't feel comfortable taking my dog in. I've had to make my appointment a month in advance and for her to cancel just because she got uncomfortable that I spoke up about her attitude was completely unprofessional. As someone who is also in customer service, you apologize for the rudeness you are giving your customer and move on with your day. I've been going to Poodie's for 4 years and unfortunately because of the new groomers I'll be looking for a new place. read more

After having multiple changes in staff at my regular groomers I decided it was time to look for a new place to take my boys. I finally decided to go here and after a chat over the phone with Cheryl I booked them in. I dropped them off to Desiree no issues they seemed happy enough, I was a little nervous with how they would be with her my eldest dog Rocket can be a little grumpy with new people. When I picked them up they looked fantastic I was so pleased with them they looked perfect and seemed super happy too. What a wonderful experience we had last week with our precious pups Shelby & Dolce'. Deidre took special care of my babies and they came out looking like rockstars!!! We got exactly what we asked for, loving the new haircuts for the pups. Our cavalier has quite a thick coat and she took extra time making sure that everything was perfect when we picked him up. And our little maltese is beyond precious with her new pup cut. They are ready for summer now. And the store is ADORABLE! I just picked up my tea cup chihuahua from your store. I had no idea what to expect. The store is adorable. The merchandise that the owner buys for it is gorgeous and beautifully displayed. I didn't have a lot of time to shop but I wanted to spend more time there to do that. My Mimi looks adorable. She's happy and has the sweetest little bows in her hair. It's so scary taking your dog to a new groomer. I like my long haired chi to be natural so just paws and a sanitary clip and Ashley did a great job. I will be back. read more

Poodie's is great! It's a bit hidden, but still in a good location and it's an adorable shop. They are really personable, do a very thorough job, and my dog looked happy and handsome at the end. The pricing is extremely reasonable for the quality of service. They unfortunately charge a 3$ credit card fee, but even with that it was cheaper than PetSmart for a 15 lb dog like mine. read more
