So, I found Murdoch Pool Service who was charging $180, but had great reviews. After speaking with owner, Brett, who assured me that they provide a better service than the cheap guys I signed up. After a couple of cleanings, I noticed they were only spending about 10 minutes on my pool and not leaving it "sparkling clean". I spoke with Brett about this and, after looking at the photo his guy took, he argued that he didn't see a problem with the service. I thought OK ...maybe I'm being OCD because I'm used to cleaning my own pool and spending way more than 10 min on it. Then we had strong Santa Ana winds hit and it left quite a mess of leaves, debris, and dirt in my pool. I was looking forward to Murdock coming to the rescue to clean it all up. They spent a little more time than the average 10 minutes and left my pool looking like it still needed to be cleaned. The photos were taken immediately after they left and you can clearly see that they failed to brush the sides, clean out the strainers baskets completely, etc. I'm pretty sure I could have gotten this level of service from the cheap guys. I was expecting to have them help me out for at least 3 months, until I could heal and get back to cleaning the pool myself, but after 2 months I couldn't continue paying a premium price for a sub-standard service. I found myself hopping around the pool on one leg trying to clean up after they left. I would highly suggest you find someone else to clean your pool.

The pool pump stopped priming and our pool was quickly becoming a POND! We had sought out about 5 different companies to help us find and solve the issue. We were able to get a visual image of the issue by using a leak detection company, but they weren't able to assist with the solution of getting the blockage out. Black Mountain Plumbing recommended Payan Pool Service to help us get the blockage cleared. I am EVER SO GRATEFUL for Valerie was a true lifeline and an absolute God Send! She was so kind and helpful and was able to move mountains to help us with our dire situation...as the pond was getting very green and twitching critters. Mark, with 20+ years of experience, was able to clear the blockage by using pressure from both the actuator side and then the skimmer side and eventually wiggled the spring and plastic cone free! I filed a restraining order and dropped it shortly after I was told that he was banned from the property. Payan Pool Service sent him to service the pools there yesterday despite the property manager allegedly banning them. Payan Pool Service confirmed that they will change service technicians in the next few weeks which lacks urgency, is dangerous, and irresponsible. Shane Trujillo left the lid off of the pool filter while he vacuumed and a senior citizen fell while playing with their younger relative yesterday as well. He was not apologetic and smiled at me as he left after threatening me previously. I want people to be aware that Payan Pool Service is sending people like this to residences and businesses where people might be letting their guard down and not expecting interactions like this. Update: The response I received was that they will change service technicians in the next few weeks. I am glad that the owner is aware of this employees behavior going forward if they decide to send them to clean more pools. Shane Trujillo has short hair now, however still has a beard and sometimes wears a hat or sunglasses. When showing another person at the pool the video of him assaulting me, they mentioned that "he must have had his teeth fixed" as well.
