Most of the time, they were in and out of my backyard in under 10 mins, putting chemicals in and emptying skimmer basket and then leaving. Rarely, they'd skim the pool surface or use my pool scrub brush. I pay attention to my pool tools ans notice when they are moved, and also have cameras in my backyard.. The day they come for service was also not consistent. A couple times weeks were skipped if there was a holiday. It would have been nice if they came the day after or day before said holiday so that I'm getting my money's worth, on a month by month basis. On the plus side, they brought it their own pool robot to help with dirt collecting in pool until I was able to buy my own. They also answered some of my pool questions which was great as a first time pool owner. they even took the initiative and set up my pool vacuum when I left out the new box in my patio, which I appreciated. So, like I mentioned in the beginning of post, this review is mixed, hence the 3 stars.

I took it in on a Tuesday and Thursday it was fixed and ready to go, $40.00 + tax. They put a new gearbox in it and only charged me for parts. Today, 2 months later I called to see if they were still doing service calls, they said yes and could stop by today. They called and said they were on their way. The first thing he said was I didn't have enough water in my pool. He showed me how to work the timer, the valves and he lubricated the top of the basket on the filter. No charge. I contacted our pool service company (which we had used for over ten years) and received no response. According to a friend, the pool had been more green then blue since July. We went to Leslie's Pool Supply and purchased $179 in chemicals and after 24 hours the pool was now a turquoise/teal color and cloudy. I called a new service to come by, and after $200 more in chemicals, it was turquoise and cloudy, would not retain free chlorine, and could not get the PH up to the correct level. It was 09/25/13 and the temperature was still in the high 90s. EVERYONE told us that we could not drain the plaster pool and have it acid washed due to the heat EXCEPT Clay. Clay had the pool drained in 3 1/2 hours, pressured washed, sanitized, and acid washed in under five hours, we began filling our pool that night (thanks to good water pressure and two faucets) it was up to the tile line before the temperature came close to 85 degrees (9:30 am). The pool is now blue and beautiful. The price was reasonable. Clay was diligent, and efficient. He charged exactly what was quoted. We highly recommend Arizona Pool Drain and Clay.

He told me he does not travel to my area, since he has enough work in his town. He was honest and helpful. I finally found Trusted Pools thru a neighbor. She just had Trusted Pools service her pool and was happy. I called them and immediately got a return call from Trindal. I explained what I wanted and she recommended a chlorine wash versus acid wash as my pool did not have any stains, just dirt from 4 years of use. They also bead blasted my tiles to remove the scales. I was very impressed with this family owned business. They are honest and fair in their prices. After talking to my neighbor who referred me, I too signed up for their monthly service. It may seem more expensive them the large companies, but, there are no hidden fees. The monthly service includes drain pool every 4 years, all chemicals, vacuum, brush, etc. From the first call to having a clean fresh looking pool was only a week!
