Scheduling staff was friendly and efficient. Mark was fantastic, and explained the problem, what his recommendation was, and what he ended up doing. After having a bad experience with another service company, I appreciated that he didn't simply go for the easy fix of replacing a circuit board (which probably would have fixed the problem, but would have obviously been much more expensive) but came up with a totally satisfying solution at a very reasonable cost. read more

I used to use them however they are equipment is marked up at least by 30% or more. Also Their Service is Lack Luster. Called set up service go a date set oh and guess what at 830 am the Dolphin calls oh he is going to be tied up all day. Really" you can almost see it coming they over promise and under deliver. Use some one else I think even Leslie is probably a little better when it comes to service. read more

I just returned from making a special trip to their store to get an item for my Jacuzzi hot tub I bought from them. Standing in line and not even being recognized. the manager I think never asked what I wanted or please wait as she continued to stare at her computer screen. not very engaging. they are even open on Easter, I guess they need the business. thank God I needed an item I can buy on line. too bad too many brick and mortar businesses care less. I can always find another local vendor. read more

We have been customers of Dolphin Pools for 18 years. They've been great until our recent pool remodel. They splattered plaster on the fence that's not even near the pool. Plaster is also on the wrought iron umbrella table. The new plaster stained in the pool when our filter stopped working and the pool turned green. Funny, how it was working before the remodel and they maintained our equipment. They've been out twice to try to take the stains away, It's getting better each time but the brown still shows. The manager has promised to take care of the other problems but they haven't shown up or called when he said they would. For at least a week now our pool has been sandy - scaling - which is caused by an imbalance of chemicals. The communication, lack of phone calls returned and the lack of email response has been poor. read more

I have used Dolphin for over 10 years. I moved to Richardson a couple of years ago and had a house fire a year ago. They went above and beyond to help us get the pool clean (even when we had temporary electricity), replace the equipment, etc. They are always willing to go the extra mile and answer questions. I have never had any where near the level of service from the other local company. read more

I've been waiting over eight hours for a cleaning and chemical service call. I have called twice to see if I could get an estimated time so I could plan my day around it. The customer service representative I spoke to did not seem to be concerned . They make no effort to contact the crew that was scheduled for the service call to find out when they may be able to be here. All I got were vague excuses about being understaffed and very busy. If they were not going to be able to make it,just tell me so we could either reschedule or I could make alternative arrangements. I don't like having service calls like this when I am not here because I like to understand what they are doing as well as what needs to be done. Because of this poor service I will not be using or recommending dolphin pools in the future. read more

We purchased our spa years ago at Dolphin and needed them to come do some maintenance. I called their service department and was greeted by a woman who was clearly not in love with her job that day. I explained that I needed to schedule a service call for my spa and when could we get that handled. She then asked me my address and I gave it to her. That's when she informed me that Grand Prairie was out of their service area and I would be charged 1.50 per mile just for them to come out. I was taken aback and said that they didn't charge me that to install the spa why would I be penalized for being a loyal customer. She just surly told me that was policy. I then asked if I would be charged this fee if I were to purchase a new spa (which I intend to do within the next year.) Of course not she said. Now I own a business and I know the DFW metroplex is large, but I am in the same county and this is not that far in the overall size of the area. When asked what it would cost to have them come out I was told $78 per trip plus the $129 service fee. If they had to come back I would have to pay the travel fee again. Needless to say I have taken my business to another large company in Ft. Worth, who did not charge this fee and will be awarded with a sale of a new spa. This is clearly a bad practice when one has been a loyal customer and lives in an area in which businesses are expected to cater to clientele in a large metropolitan area. read more

I have been coming here for many years and have been a very loyal customer for a long time. I am still giving 3 stars because everyone there has always been so nice and helpful. Last week I came to the store ten minutes to close with a water test. I apologized for getting there late but my water was looking green and wanted to get it fixed by the weekend. The man that I had the "pleasure" of interacting with rolled his eyes like it was such an inconvenience. I asked if I could still have my water tested and he sighed. He snatched the water bottle from my hand and stormed back to the computer without saying a word to me. I followed him back and he had the test done so fast and said my water was perfect when clearly it wasn't. He threw the paper at me and said I didn't need anything! Trying to go home? Being a consumer, you would think he would want to sell me SOMETHING. I didn't catch his name but the paper says "Prepared by: Admin-GT" I'm guessing that is the employee? He had long hair put up. I have never been treated this way from anybody at Dolphin in all the years I have been coming here. I will NOT be returning here again. His whole attitude and demeanor was SO unpleasant! I can't believe somebody would treat any customer like this. read more

If I could give this company and it's staff Zero Stars, I would. DO NOT USE DOLPHIN POOL SUPPLY. They convinced us to replace all of our pool equipment (over $15,000), as well as re-surface the entire pool because of small leaks they saw. We figured we mine as well re-tile it at the same time. They did a such horrendous job at tiling that we needed to have tiles ripped down and re-done TWICE. They did not give us honest quotes. They weren't going to leave us the extra tile. Finally, they agreed and said they only had 1 sheet of tile left. Andre was in charge of this job - He's a JOKE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! It's been less than 6 months and two giant cracks have appeared in the new cement. While this may or may not be their fault, they certainly are not treating us like a valued customer. He wouldn't even come out and look at the new cracks. They basically told us to deal with them ourselves. read more

After owning my home for 30 years, my pool needed a complete re-do. After interviewing several contractors, I chose Dolphin Pools because I liked the salesman and my neighbor recommended them. We had the pool deck replaced, the entire pool re-plastered with new tiles on the side. The total cost was around $15,000. The deck and the pool plastering were excellent, but there were a couple of problems which left a bad taste in our mouths after everything was settled. First, the wooden slats they inserted between the deck slabs warped and popped up in the air about three inches within a few weeks after the job was completed. They did come back and replace them, and since they have been fine. Secondly, at one end of the pool, there is a strip of plaster between the tiles and the deck. After plastering it the first time, the entire 10-foot long piece completely split open. They came back a second time, and re-plastered the piece again. About a month after, it split again, but Dolphin would not come back to correct the error. They were also supposed to replace a piece of decking that had a crack in it, but instead they simply put mortar over the crack to make it look like it was designed that way. It's disappointing to deal with a company that did such an excellent job on the two big parts, but completely blew the slats and plastering. Because of the salesman's attitude and follow-up after the plastering broke open, I would not recommend them to anyone. A good job is not done until the customer is satisfied. read more
