Absolutely phenomenal pie and Ice cream! I can't wait to go back and try the savory pies, the store front is so cute and their stuff is so fresh and delicious. Service was really fast and there was no line today.

I have driven by a number of times since they've opened, but I kept forgetting that they were there. I'd go to the one in University Heights, even though I live closer to this one. So one evening.... The inside is warm and inviting! The staff is really friendly too! I ordered a chicken pie which is so good! I love the flaky crust! Of course, I also need the mashed potatoes and gravy. I also ordered the kale salad because, you know, you need to keep it healthy! I love the dressing! Since I had kale, I ordered the delicious key lime pie! So good! I also ordered The Boss for the next day for breakfast! There's a nice little patio in front that's dog friendly. This little corner has become very lively. I will definitely be back since parking is a lot easier around here. Next time, I'll bring Cako! But I'm sure she'll approve!

Heard a lot of hype about this place tried it for the first time but honestly didn't live up to its hype. I had two of their pot pies the steak and their pulled pork and both of them were very dry I also had their sausage hot dog which also the meat was very dry. Was definitely a try would not be returning. Cream corn was good and service was fast so I gave them 2 stars.

This place felt like a hidden gem. Shocked i am just now discovering it. I am not the pie type, but this place changed my viewpoint. I went in thinking it would be like KFC type of pies, and i was wrong in every way. Soon as i walked in, the vibe was coffee shop cafe mixed with a bakery feel to it. Now on to the food, each pie i tried was unique and delicious. Thankfully the staff was so kind and gave me recommendations. I may have over did it but it was worth it. Even washed everything down with an Ice Chai Latte lol. I am certainly coming back again!

The savory pies have a flaky, golden crust with hearty fillings, and they rotate seasonal flavors which keeps things interesting. They also have sweet pies -- and those are especially good warmed up with a scoop of ice cream on top. Overall, a comforting little spot when you're craving pie, sweet or savory.

It was my first time here. I got the steak and something pie. I thought it was going to be really good but honestly it was super plain and nothing special. 3 pies for $42 is kind of crazy. Service was fast and the seating area is small. Would I come back? No. But if you're craving a pie then I guess you can stop and try it out!

Was craving pie during the holidays so we got a mix and match and a whole pumpkin. As a general tip we recommend buying a whole pie. We noticed the individual slices were more on the dry side whereas the full pie crusts were more flavorful (probably because they were fully intact for longer). Their Apple is such a solid choice but special shout out to the seasonal pumpkin. Will return whenever we are craving a pie but more importantly for the holiday seasonal choices! It's South Park so there is only street parking. It's never been an issue for us but please note finding one directly in front is not always the case. Service was fast and friendly.

I'll start by saying this place is pretty decent flavorful pop pies . Small & quaint kitchen service is pretty ok also The only downside is my chicken pop pie was DRY full of chicken nonetheless But DRY. No rue or W.E they use to put a pie together VERY DISAPPOINTING.

My wife is the realest she knows I can't stand for long periods of time and told me you sit this one out champ I'll handle this and handle this she did. I dropped her off and waited for her page to tell me she got the goods I really only wanted two pies from this year's pie day the dfc and the tinola pie but she grabbed the tribute one to round it all off she also got a key lime slice for all her hard work. The dfc was a banger it was cheesy and meaty and out of no where some good spice to kick it off right, but that tinola pie was a work of aft and the calamancy kicked to the next level it put me in a straight food coma and I needed it. When I woke up the next day we tried the tribute and no smut on the tribute pie but you had Mike Tyson and Mayweather vs Ryan Garcia good but those two pies just hit different I can't wait for next year's pie day.

Pot pies were yummy. They were out of dessert pies since it was Pi day but the ice cream and hand pies were good. It's counter service so not much to report there they took our order correctly and handed us our food so they were good. Mostly like a fast food place but pot pies and coffee. Pretty loud and casual but serves its purpose.

    Pop Pie & Stella Jean's
    Bruski N.

After dinner, we headed to Stella Jean's for some ice cream. The place was packed, and we thought the line we were in was for ice cream, but it was for Pop Pie. We learned that the same owner owns both. We decided to split up and my wife bought some chicken pies to-go for us to try the next day. After a day, we put the pies in the oven at 350 °C for 20 minutes, and they tasted fresh and were abundant with chicken. The crusts were crispy and buttery. We will definitely come back to get some of their other flavors next time.

The first Pop Pie Co. location I tried while in San Diego, located in the South Park neighborhood, and has a Stella Jean's at the same location! The service was fast and the ambiance wasn't bad either. The regular pies were a little disappointing, but the handheld pies were amazing! The guava and cream cheese was my absolute favorite, I wish I had some right now, haha. If you're getting both Stella Jean's and Pop Pie Co., I recommend getting the pies first and the ice cream after (they ice cream is a bit sweeter and the flavors are more bold as well).

I love their key lime pie! Pop Pie Co offers both dessert pies and savory pies, and everything always looks delicious. I came around 9pm on a Saturday and there was no line. Service was good, and there's both indoor and outdoor seating available. It's also conveniently connected to Stella Jean's Ice Cream, which makes it easy to grab a pie and ice cream in one stop.

We used to come visit here when we come to San Diego. On this summer day - the restaurant doesn't bave any AC on so it made it a bit uncomfortable to enjoy our desert when it is a bit cooler to sit outside. The other thing that got to me was that the men's restroom was out of service so they did not announce it or anything but the women's bathroom was to be used by both genders but it was crowded so a bit uncomfortable. Service wise we got our deserts and the deserts are still very delicious. We were a larger party and they were able to accommodate and get all of our orders correctly. Noise level was normal and gave us time to sit down and relax our feet. Over all - food was good but things were a bit worn down from a building perspective

My friends and I were just looking to get a coffee in Little Italy, but when we walked in and saw all the delicious treats we had to try something else as well. The latte was good, and my friend bought a kitchen sink type cookie with chocolate, coconut, and macadamia nuts. It was warm and gooey good! Another friend tried the gelato and said it was very good. There are a few tables inside and tables out in front outside. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful San Diego weather. The decor and tables definitely gives you an old school Italian neighborhood vibe with Italian markets right next door. It was a warm day but we got there at 5:15pm and the sun was starting to go behind the downtown buildings. Negative: service. It seems if you are a regular, like the two tables near us, they chat it up and talk about how things are. If you aren't a regular, they just quickly come by and say "anything else?" the two times they came by. Im a huge water drinker so the carafe they brought only refilled our cups once. Never got another one until we were done and they came by asking about dessert. They weren't busy by any stretch on a Tuesday evening but apparently the frequent customers either tip really well or they prefer familiar faces. I assume the latter. So, I mean the food itself was great but service was not good. I mean we went when it was slow too and the host was talking it up with a frequent customer also asking about the changes recently to parking in their area nearby.... We thought most italian places would provide some sort of complimentary bread, but this place did not. We ended up ordering the Carbonara, Fusilli Alla Vodka, Pappardelle, and Salsiccia pizza. Each were fantastic, but the family really enjoyed the Fusilli and the Pappardelle the most! The short rib meat was extremely tender and flavorful.
