    Proof that it's still open

Place still open. Comfortable seating, good selection, fun drinks. Needed some soup and it's in the name so I thought I'd give it a try. So far so good. Be careful their "Spicy" option is dangerous. Go with "mild" if you like spicy food lol

Excellent service. We ordered a couple different bubble teas. The cashier lady is so polite and patience to explain everything to us. Strongly recommended.

I was very excited to try this place because it's different from the typical cuisine in Jackson Heights. I tried the beef bulgogi bowl which tasted good, but not great. I do wish it came with some veggies to give it a refreshing and crunchy taste. The rice bowls come with miso soup which makes for a filling meal. The portions are big enough, that you could break it up into two meals. The staff are nice as well, they offered to throw out the garbage for us when they didn't have to. There is a trash can readily available for use when you're done. It's standard Japanese food which is good if you have a craving. I'm looking forward to trying their ramen next time around.

Ordered thru Uber eats, the food came super quick and everything was still nice and hot. I absolutely loved the scallion pancakes with the sweet chilly sauce, delicious! I also ordered the Korean beef kimchi soup, So good! The broth was nice and creamy, perfectly seasoned. The beef was thinly sliced and tender. Everything was yummy, I will definitely keep on ordering.

Ordered from here a few weeks ago for the first time on Uber Eats and I was so content! Love their milk bubble tea & seafood ramen. I ordered again today and got an extra side of kimchi. Sooo rare to find good kimchi (for me at least - I'm Caribbean haha) WILL DEF KEEP ORDERING from them! Give them a try - you won't regret it!

Went to the closest bubble tea place while running errands and the ube swirl milk tea caught my eye! The boba were so soft and chewy and they did not cheap out on the amount of ube flavoring. I'd definitely come back to have this again and try their other bubble tea. I didn't get to try any of their food, but maybe next time

Chicken was tough and rubbery. Vegetable rolls soft and soggy. $75 for 2 people with delivery expenses. Not worth the cost

Great Buuble Tea. I'd definitely return for that. The Ramen was good but the tea is what keeps us coming back.

But this place completely knocked it out of the park. It far exceeded everything we anticipated. We were seated in a private booth, which made the experience feel even more authentic and intimate. Intimate setting where you can really enjoy your dinner and company and also get to know the owners. Family owned and taken care of very well. All the food here is fresh and delicious and creative. Not your standard NYC Japanese restaurant but they take care to all their dishes. Highlights were the special tofu dish and toro salad. Tempura were all made well and not oily. Great katsu and anything on the sushi menu was divine. Love the toro, yellowtail, and sea urchin. Can't go wrong with either the nigiri or sashimi choices. A wonderful alcohol selection as well with special items i've never seen before but very refreshing were the green tea beer and the yuzu beer. A gem in forest hills and a must try. Definitely a repeat go to place and wonderful place in the neighborhood.

I actually appreciate that they are reservation only - it does make for more quality conversation with your party. We ordered the Agedashi tofu and Magritte duck as appetizers. Both were delicious and had really great sauces that paired well with the dish. For entrees we ordered their black cod, pork hirekatsu, sashimi plate, and their snow crab avocado roll. The black cod was absolutely delicious, so tender, cooked to perfection, jam packed with flavor but not tough or mushy. The hirekatsu was another hit - four large pieces, fried to perfection. The pork itself was still moist and juicy. The sashimi?? So fresh and cleaned perfectly! The quality is definitely on par with what I get in the city so the price is absolutely reasonable to me. Lastly their snow crab and avocado roll - also really good! I love how sweet the snow crab was, there also wasn't too much rice on the roll which was appreciated. Overall, we had a wonderful time dining at Katsuno. While the prices may seem a bit high and portions of certain items may not be the largest, the flavor really is authentic and the quality of ingredients used are good too. We will be back!
