Artic winter cold in January with snow summons a mean bowl of Japanese Udon noodle soup in Woodhaven, Queens, NYC. I needed to warm-up my body from the extreme January, 2026 cold and decided to dine-in. Power Of One. It was utterly empty as I was the only patron in the house which there was no excuse to reluctantly serve me. There was one female worker who appeared very bored, head lowered doomscrolling on her phone, but idling and stationary waiting for customers to enter to serve. This female employee is operational readiness. Chicken Katsu Udon noodle soup $14.95 It was served fresh and piping hot with steam visibly emitted. It warmed my hands from the cold. Noodles were sufficient. I wished there were more noodles. The chicken was abundant and tasted just right. The broth was good. It contains half brown soft boiled egg of jammy yolk, paucity scallions, and fishcake. The brown half soft boiled egg was okay, but I prefer white eggs. It was served on a plastic canteen food tray with plastic utensils, wooden chopsticks and napkins. The interior has sufficient seating with tables and fends a canteen appearance rather than a café. There is no restroom facility on premise. Takeout menus are available for grabs. This noodle soup certainly eat my fill for lunch. It sustained my hunger pangs until dinner. There was no background music playing. Sometimes I like to sit in peace absorbing the quiet stillness to ponder and reflect. I never thought I'd be writing a review like this. While eating a bowl of ramen, I discovered a cockroach after I had already consumed approximately 35% of the meal. I immediately stopped eating and documented the incident with photos and video. To the restaurant's credit, I was given a refund. However, I was disappointed by how the situation was handled afterward. The interaction felt rushed, and I left feeling as though the seriousness of the issue was minimized rather than addressed. Finding a cockroach in food is not a minor mistake--it raises serious concerns about sanitation, food preparation, and pest control. Because of the nature of the incident, I submitted a complaint to the health department and provided documentation. I hope ownership takes this matter seriously and investigates how this could have happened. Until then, I cannot recommend dining here. read more

I was very excited to try this place because it's different from the typical cuisine in Jackson Heights. I tried the beef bulgogi bowl which tasted good, but not great. I do wish it came with some veggies to give it a refreshing and crunchy taste. The rice bowls come with miso soup which makes for a filling meal. The portions are big enough, that you could break it up into two meals. The staff are nice as well, they offered to throw out the garbage for us when they didn't have to. There is a trash can readily available for use when you're done. It's standard Japanese food which is good if you have a craving. I'm looking forward to trying their ramen next time around. read more

I am a fan because when I went to pickup the gentleman was sweet and suggested I order via phone, instead of through the apps. He said it was much cheaper and I compared. He was right! For the price of the apps, the portions were steep. However, for the price on the actual menu, it made sense. Basically order via phone or in person from the menu. I have tried almost all the food. My favorite is the spicy ramen. I would suggest to order a mix of fried items and more "healthier" options, because the fried items can be overwhelming. Overall, I am glad this restaurant opened up in the area. I might do a revision when I try the bubble tea. read more

My go-to bubble tea shop. I've frequented this shop over 20 times if it's any indication of how much I appreciate a good bubble tea. My brother drives 20 minutes just to pick up bubble tea from this location! The flavors are more natural than many other bubble tea shops where powdered flavors are added. The green tea base flavors are my favorite (lychee and mango). Taro is also yummy. I'd avoid the slushee/smoothie drinks - there can be inconsistent thickness depending on your preference. Went to the closest bubble tea place while running errands and the ube swirl milk tea caught my eye! The boba were so soft and chewy and they did not cheap out on the amount of ube flavoring. I want to like this place, gave it a few chances. I rarely write a review. The food is ok...when they get it right. I've allowed room for error on delivery with the pandemic and all, plus paid delivery fees, gave a nice tip. But I decided to stop by today and get exactly what I want instead of settling for the mistake. I very clearly asked for Beef Kimchi RAMEN, said it a couple of times. It comes with different veggies and items plus kimchi which is what I craved. I got a large Taro bubble tea too. When I got home, the disappointment!! They served me a beef rice bowl with like half a leaf of cabbage. At least it comes with a miso soup, but mind you I was charged for the price of the ramen soup bowl. Found this spot to satisfy a bubble tea craving, but the food here is great too. I cant get enough of the Chicken Katsu rice bowl. Chicken is really crispy and its really well portioned. Did not expect to see a bubble tea shop and Taiwan style food in this neighborhood. I looked over the menu and tried the pork over rice dish and a bubble tea. The pork was very flavorful and mixed really good with the rice. The bubble tea was a solid 4/5 star and was the perfect sweetness and chewy balls. read more

Updated review : I made a bigger order this time (2nd time there now) and the bubbles for the drinks are absurdly soft, perfect if you are loosing your teeth. Bought appetizers as well, the takoyaki and the fried calamari. Takoyaki was okay, not the best nor the worst, it has all the basic ingredients and tasted basic (flour, octopus, sprinkle of seaweed, Japanese mayo, and takoyaki sauce). The fried calamari tho... That was also a disappointment. The squid is so soft it felt like I was just eating fried flour... I am extremely annoyed. This place does not have vegetable teriyaki on the menu, however I asked the woman at the register if they could make it. She said yes and that it would still be the same price as the other meals. I waited over TWENTY minutes for my food. When the food was ready she said chicken teriyaki? I said vegetable? She said yes. I was unsure so I checked and it was just chicken. I said this is supposed to be vegetable. She said no, you said no rice. I never once mentioned rice. And she told me they can't do that. I wouldn't have minded if they told me thaT before I ordered, but after waiting TWENTY minutes I am furious. Their menu clearly states let us know if you are gluten free or vegetarian. Don't put that if you can't accommodate. I would have ordered something else from the start and I was definitely NOT waiting another twenty minutes for something else. My go to spot for Bubble tea! Would frequently drive to their location at Atlas Mall so was excited to see them open this location a few blocks from my house. Friendly staff who also remember me with a smile. Good food and drinks, inc. many variations of Noodle Soups, fried and steamed appetizer and flavorful Japanese Fried Rice.
