Ate here today by myself on a not so cold Sunday afternoon. I had brought and ate the cream croquettes, pork katsu and banana tempura with vanilla ice cream that it tasted really good and delicious. The service there was also attentive and super fast that it was ready made. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time.

It was one of those nights when I wanted a quiet, easy night to enjoy a rich flavorful bowl of ramen. Three bowls Ramen just did just that with its 'Tonkotzu Bowl' with white garlic sauce. Its powerful and dense broth was the highlight of the night. My partner and I walked in on a Sunday night with high hopes and empty stomachs. Immediately, we were greeted and sat down. It is not your typical flashy modern Japanese spot, although the artwork on the walls, along with the japanese curtains/fabric dividers exudes a subtle cultural feel. We were right next to the kitchen, and saw the chef at work. Our apps also did not disappoint, we got Karage paired with a mayo-chill sauce mix, and rock shrimp. Both dishes were deliciously flavorful. If you're ever in the need for some comfort food, I would highly recommend it here! Edit: Unbeknownst to me, they charged an extra 3% to my bill, reflected on my CC statement. I'm assuming this is the card processing fee but I wish I was known about this before so I could've paid with cash.

Enjoyed a late dinner here - really appreciate having a place open late when nearby restaurants are already closed! The owner (presumably) was very attentive, took our order, and made sure to check in on us. Ramen and chicken were wonderful, generous portion size and reasonable prices!

I came back again. They have a summer menu. I tried Maze soba. This is realy, realy tasty good. Have to try it!. They have 3 more summer menu. I am sure comimg back and try soon. The chef, Mr. Oscar created soup, chashu etc. He put a lot of effort and time. The restaurant is not fancy like somewhere in Manhattan, but his bowls are original. I want many noodle lovers to try his bowls.

An ok place since we wanted small quick meals. Pokebowl with citrusy salmon, avocado and greens was a good size. I liked the side green salad for the katsu. Okonomiyaki however was cooked too brown (not burned though), such a perfect shape and the texture makes it seem like it was molded previously. Clean cooking area which we could see from our seats. However, for putting finishing garnishes/toppings, I wish they wore gloves or used utensils.

Very tasty food and quick service. Seems to be family owned, always the same people working which leads to consistency. Interior is basic but clean. Food is always good

Food was amazing!!! Not sure if the guy was the owner but he was very nice, making sure I was good. They were showing the Barcelona game which I'm a fan of so that was a big plus. Will definitely go back!!

It was good to see the addition of a ramen place to the diverse food scene in Woodside! It's a small cozy restaurant with less than 10 tables. Staff (owners) were nice and explained the menu very thoroughly for us. We tried the black tonkatsu and tan tan ramen. Both were good. Black tonkatsu was very rich and garlicky while tan tan was more light and refreshing. Noodles were chewy. All the ramen-must-have were there: bamboo shoots, half cooked eggs, green onions, bok choy. We were happy. And according to the chef the spicy miso ramen could be quite spicy so if you need a kick try that.

Walked in on Sunday afternoon, not too busy . Ordered the passion fruit raspberry iced tea & the veggie ramen. Service was quick , place was clean... The iced tea was delicious!!!!! Sooo yummy & refreshing.. The vegetable ramen was decent. You do get a lot of noodles + broth for $13.00 so decently priced. The flavor could of been up'd a bit more however it was good. I'd definitely return.

Combination Lo Mein. Unbelievable! Lots of delicious steaming hot food. Great deal!

First time to order. Got takeout through Door Dash! Huge amounts of steaming hot food. Everything was delicious. Order what sauce you want. We were blown away with quantity and quality. Will definitely order from here again. Wow! Top notch!!

Small little place. It was about 8 of us eating. Drove all the way from Brooklyn to check this place out since my daughter & I have been on a Ramen kick! Well... have to say. It totally wasn't worth it. Service was okay. They ran out of straws and had to run and buy some. Not too many choices of drinks. Ramen was very bland. Lacked flavor. They totally missed the mark!

He's never had Shoyu based broth before, different but still good; I didn't try it since I was so full. Steak was tender. Seasoned well.. delicious. We prefer it more on the rare side but hot broth .. gotta eat it quick. Regardless of the temp., it still tastes great. I got an extra serving of noodles but I couldn't finish it but that was my only meal of the day. He also had a Yuzu lemonade .. really sweet, but L likes it that way. Our server was nice. Always filled our water and got our orders right away. We even ordered a Khao soi ramen for L since he's a big guy. Broth was strong..lil too much for me but I only had a taste but he loved it. We came back and ordered Steak Ramen again and I wasn't goin to eat at the restaurant since I was a lil nauseous from the Uber ride but our server brought me a bowl in case I wanted some of L's ramen. Well drinkin some hot broth and eating some noodles actually helped me.. my nausea was gone and I was able to enjoy the food! So we ordered a Black garlic Tonkotsu with spicy sauce on the side. L enjoyed it but I actually preferred the shoyu broth since it wasn't as rich. I didn't need the black garlic and spicy sauce. We also ordered a steak ramen and ebi curry to go since I was visiting my mom and I wanted her to eat some of the protein. The steak was very tender and she was able to eat it without reheating it even after taking about 20 mins to get there. She loved the rice in the ebi curry. The curry was separated which she can't eat anyway. Whenever L visits my mom, he wants to get a bowl of ramen.

Izakaya Fuku in New York offers the kind of dining experience that feels memorable from the very…read morestart. Even before the food arrives, the restaurant leaves a strong impression with its stunning Japanese-inspired interior. The space is beautifully designed, blending warmth and elegance in a way that feels both inviting and refined. From the soft lighting to the natural wood accents and thoughtfully arranged decor, everything about the atmosphere feels intentional. It captures the intimate charm of a traditional izakaya while still feeling modern and stylish, making it a wonderful setting for anything from a casual dinner to a more special night out. The food more than lived up to the beauty of the space. One of the first highlights was the salmon onigiri, a dish that proved how satisfying simplicity can be when it is done well. The rice was soft, fresh, and perfectly formed, holding together without feeling too compact, while the salmon added a savory richness that made each bite feel comforting and flavorful. It was balanced, delicate, and deeply satisfying in a way that made it memorable despite its simplicity. The seared salmon salad was another standout. The salmon itself was beautifully prepared, with a lightly seared exterior that gave it a subtle crispness, while the inside remained tender, buttery, and smooth. That contrast in texture made the dish especially enjoyable. Paired with the freshness of the salad, it felt light and refreshing, yet still substantial enough to feel like more than just a side dish. It was a dish that managed to feel both clean and indulgent at the same time. The grilled squid was particularly impressive and easily one of the most memorable items of the meal. Squid can often be difficult to get right, as it can become rubbery or overly chewy if even slightly overcooked, but that was absolutely not the case here. The texture was spectacular--tender, delicate, and pleasantly springy without any toughness. Each bite had a light smokiness from the grill that added depth, while the squid itself retained its natural sweetness. It was expertly prepared and showcased a level of precision that really stood out. For the main courses, both the Tonkatsu Ramen and the Black Pepper Ramen delivered distinct experiences, each with its own appeal. The Tonkatsu Ramen was deeply comforting and satisfying, with a broth that had a rich, velvety texture and a full-bodied depth that coated the palate beautifully. It felt smooth, hearty, and luxurious without being too heavy. The noodles had an ideal texture as well--firm enough to provide a satisfying bite, yet soft enough to soak up the broth and integrate perfectly into the dish. Altogether, it was a bowl that felt warming, balanced, and incredibly comforting. The Black Pepper Ramen, on the other hand, brought a bolder and more assertive flavor profile. The broth had a smooth, glossy texture, and the noodles again had a pleasing chew that gave the dish structure and substance. The black pepper added an unmistakable warmth and aromatic intensity that made the ramen stand out immediately. It was flavorful and memorable, though the pepper was slightly overwhelming at times. A bit less black pepper would have allowed the other flavors in the broth to come through more clearly and created a more balanced bowl. Even so, the ramen was still enjoyable, especially for those who appreciate strong, pepper-forward flavors. Overall, Izakaya Fuku is a restaurant that succeeds on every level. The stunning Japanese interior creates an atmosphere that feels both immersive and elegant, while the food reflects a real attention to detail in both flavor and texture. From the comforting salmon onigiri, to the fresh and beautifully prepared seared salmon salad, to the expertly grilled squid with its exceptional texture, and finally the rich and satisfying ramen dishes, every part of the meal felt carefully executed. It is a place that offers not just excellent food, but a complete dining experience, and it is well worth visiting for anyone looking for standout Japanese cuisine in New York.

In terms of aesthetics, Fuyu does it best work at night. The intimate vibe is captured well, through their soft evening lighting with date night vibes and ample seating. It's a tight squeeze with big groups, so keep it in mind since everyone will likely sit on a stool. To no one's surprise, the food remains the star. When they first started, the tonkotsu was the usual choice, but they've since graduated to other types of ramen from tsukemen to tantan mien. Their hiyashi chuka is a seasonal noodle dish and worth inquiring upon arrival. Despite it all, I'd probably end up ordering the original tonkotsu at the end of the day. Ramen is really only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to their extensive menu, which now serves katsu burgers in addition to their sushi burrito, fried squid, and classic selections takoyaki and gyoza. The slew of Korean dishes (such as the dupbab) still gives me a double take. Prices for a bowl of ramen are in the $16-19 range. It might feel pricey, because it is. The service makes for a big part of the experience and they have been solid. This is no destination per se, but a solid neighborhood worthy spot that deserves a look when craving slurp worthy ramen.
