I can see why customers would enjoy their fried dumplings, eaten by itself. However, it was freezing cold out after a snowstorm in NY, so I stopped by to dine alone and ordered the chicken dumpling noodle soup, to find that fried dumplings were thrown in a bowl of bland milky broth with noodles. The fried dumplings were soggy and no longer crispy, and the entire meal was pretty flavorless and disappointing.

I came back again after many years to try this unassuming dumpling place and I'm glad to report they are still pretty good. The store is tiny with a few seats and no frills but their dumplings pack a lot of flavor. I got their soup dumplings and wonton soup as well as a homemade iced citron tea drink. If you need to use your credit card you should let them know before you place your order. They take credit cards as well as Zelle. They prefer cash. The soup dumplings were a surprise. It's not bad. There was plenty of soup inside and the filling was flavorful. The wrapping was not as thin as some of the best but it wasn't bad. The wonton soup tasted like my mother's. The soup was a little thin but those wontons are legit. The citron tea was sweet and refreshing.

This place has like a fast food vibe going on. The staff is very nice, but it's just a weird little place. The pork noodle soup was really good. I ordered a bunch of different dumplings, including soup dumplings, shrimp dumplings, and other dumplings. All of the dumplings were good-not great. I would not go out of my way to come here for the dumplings. I may come back for the noodle soup with pork.

This is a fast casual spot. Your order at the counter and they'll bring your order out. I can hear with four others- two were children and the other two were adults. We shared everything and it was filling for us. When we entered the restaurant, our hunger level was--on a scale of 1-10-at a 6. The dumplings were great; we got veggie pan seared dumplings and pork and shrimp pan seared dumplings. The soups were mediocre and I don't recommend them. We ordered a beef noodle soup, and wonton soup without noodles. That said, the wonton in the soup was not bad. It's good for what it is, and if you're looking for more authentic Chinese food, head elsewhere.

The atmosphere is a vibe a nice place to sit with friends or on a date. I love the music options that are played. My dumplings were very appetizing and my citron honey tea was good. I will definitely come back the service was good.

Food: Pork & shrimp pan fried dumplings & wonton soup were delicious! Soup had a delicious broth flavor and the dumplings come with 12! I didn't think I was going to end up eating all of it but it was so good, I kept eating! Service: Nice lady working the front and cooking as well. Ambiance: Very cute and clean little shop. Can't wait to come back!

Very warm inside. Greets you as you come in. . Very soft spoken. Nice little appetizer spot or quick bite. Parking on street. Heart of Metropolitan. Fried or steamed dumplings , Shumai or soup for the snowy weather.

We ordered soup dumplings, shumai and pan fried dumplings. The soup dumplings were okay-- the wrapping was very thin which I typically like, but they all broke as I tried to pick them up. The shumai tasted good, and I was pleasantly surprised by the pan fried dumplings. Not usually into BBQ beef dumplings, but the flavor along with the sweet dip was very nice!

Omg I just had the most amazing dumplings of my life!! Basil chicken dumplings were out of this world delicious!! For a sweet treat I also got an order of red bean buns to go. Not only were they cute they were also delicious!

Nothing to write home about. These are Chinese dumplings. People come and for momos. Momos are Tibetan. I ordered half spicy beef and half pork. They were ok. $14 for a plate is pricey. Probably worth $9.99 at most. Wouldn't go there again u less absolutely needed to. There are better dumplings places around

Very good dumplings. Always hot and fresh. Good selection too. Usually takes a shorter amount of time than they tell you which is nice. We had 6 pork and shrimp and 6 pork with peppers (slightly spicy). 12 dumplings for $11. Good deal. You can sit down or take out. They pack everything very well for take out!!

The wait for a table can be long if you don't get there early especially on weekends. The quality of the dim sum was good, none of it came to our table cold (that wasn't supposed to be cold). The main dining area is behind the bar and a waiter will bring you there. They charge $7 for tea at a dim sum restaurant which feels off - the whole concept of dim sum ("yum cha") is centered around drinking tea, so that really stood out to me We went on a Saturday morning at 11 and they didn't have any rice rolls, which is a staple at most dim sum spots. On top of that, most if not all the dim sum dishes were priced around $7-$8, (most places are $4) which feels a bit high for what you're getting. Lots of the food was bland, my parents liked it but I'm used to full flavor Chinese food. There was a free lobster special with $100 purchase Service was lacking. When I asked for rock sugar, the waiter seemed confused and gave us a blank look each time we brought it up. We asked 5 times The bathrooms were down the steps and unisex. It is across the kitchen. This feels more like a bar than a restaurant. FYI there is another bathroom where the dining area was but we didn't see it until we left There is a metered street parking around the corner so that was convenient ($5 for 2 hours)

Luckily, there was only a short wait for our party of two at around 12pm...but I suspect the wait can be much longer later in the afternoon or during peak dinner times. Once your number is called, you go up some stairs to the eating/tabled area. There are tables and chairs for 2, 4 and more guests throughout the large space. The pace of the restaurant is very fast...as soon as you are seated, you are given tea and your waiter comes over right away to take any order you are ready to give. Its helpful to ask for a menu while you are waiting for a table so you know what to order when asked. We had some soup dumplings as well as a (large) soup. Everything was very good and out in about 15 minutes...very fast. The soup dumplings were great...but as expected are filled with piping hot broth so be careful when eating. They have some other appetizers and dishes available. There are also some drink options including cold teas, soft drinks and beer. Overall a great experience...despite visiting on a busy Saturday, we were in and out in about 40-45 minutes. Street parking can be tough in the area but there are a few garages around...one of the more reasonable options is the garage at the Skyview shops which currently charge about $6 for up to three (3) hours and is a short 5 minute walk away.

I think this is different from the vibes of an old school dim sum restaurant but honestly a great way to satisfy your cravings/enjoy it with a more modern vibe. I love that there's a little water dispenser with cold and hot water for dine-in. Little plates for people who do family stye. Our party ordered a variety of items. My favorite was the crispy chicken wings. Warm and flavorful. That bit of crisp on the outside was just enough to contrast the tender chicken flesh. The pork crab soup dumplings are a generous portion with plenty of broth on the inside. Honestly had so much flavor on its own that you don't even need the black vinegar. The fried HK shrimp dumplings were pretty good. Delicious plump shrimp but the fried dough didn't offer much. I probably would just stick to my usual har goes. This place is a convenient gem for hot dim sum and full meals. I was originally planning to grab takeout on my way to play pickleball at the park -- but since it started raining and the interior looked so clean and inviting, I decided to dine in instead.
