    Pad See Ew Lunch Special
    Ye Z.

Came here on a Thursday afternoon for a little lunch date with the husband! The restaurant is so cute and nicely designed. Food was pretty darn good and the waiter was nice! We started off with some shrimp rolls; 10/10 I got the Pad See Ew lunch special that came with two sides and I opted for the spring roll and soup; delicious 9/10 My husband got the Nuer Yang (steak) with jasmine rice; cooked perfectly 10/10 Ended the meal with some mango sticker rice; 8/10

I am a very picky Thai food eater. Coming from the NW we were spoiled rotten. It has taken me many tries in NY to find my spots. And a couple years ago my boyfriend and I tried this place on a whim and it was amazing. We just really can't get enough. We are also lucky because there's two of us. So we get to try two entrees but get half of both. The perfect masterplan. This place is never busy for dine in. I see a lot of food delivery pick ups while we sit and enjoy our meal. The feel at the restaurant is calm, clean and attentive. The staff is always on point. We scan the QR code, but always know we will be ordering the Rose Rangoons, the pineapple fried rice with shrimp and the Massaman Curry with tofu. Every bite is always as delicious as one can remember it. My boyfriend can literally drink that curry sauce. I love the little peanuts in the curry. A little surprise. I took my sister here with her daughter on Sunday and they were blown away. My niece was headed back to college on Monday so I am so happy they had a great time. My niece loved the veggie curry puffs so much that we had to do another order. It made me so happy that they were happy and that we have this beautiful memory here. And now that the weather has gotten slightly chillier, we look forward to more meals soon.

This is the second time I ordered takeout food from this place. It is delivered very quickly. I got the chive pancakes and the shrimp Tom Yum soup again. That was very good before and it's still good. this time I tried the fried chicken for an entrée. it was really dry. the rice that came with it was wrapped in cellophane/plastic wrap within the container. weird. when I unwrapped it, it stayed like a brick. I find this to be very strange. I believe this costs $16 for the chicken. Totally NOT worth it.

The food was great, but I was impressed by their presentation. The decorations of the restaurant were rustic and cute. Dish wear and glass wear were very charming. The ambiance was relaxed. It is a small restaurant, and there are not many tables, but the pieces of furniture are stylish and cute. I loved these details. We liked the food, and the service was very attentive. The restaurant seems busy with takeout and delivery, but not many eat-in customers. We initially thought about ordering for delivery, but we decided to take a visit. If we did take out, we would have missed their presentation of the food, which was charming. I am glad that we visited and had a dine-in experience. The price was very reasonable. There is no alcohol served which is a downside but not a big deal. We would love to come back and try different dishes in the future.

This is what I love about New York. We went to a brand new Thai restaurant in Ridgewood (of all places) knowing that there are like three other Thai places close by. This place is pretty empty with just one other party. Just one waitress. Pretty small operation. Expectations were not super high or anything, but it turns out that the food here is phenomenal. I can see this place getting popular very quickly. The Pad See Ew was silky smooth.. some of the best I've had. Everything was delicious. My favorite was the Crispy Three Flavors Fish. So crispy, juicy, and oh so flavorful. If you like spicy foods, the mild will be perfect. Thai food can get overly spicy.. even the medium spicy is a lot. All in all, the food here is exceptional. Can't wait to come back.

I ordered the vegetarian curry puffs, Thai ice tea and shrimp pad Thai and also tried the coconut soup which was delicious. The place was kind of cold, but they put heating lamps at each table. It was empty when I went on a Saturday at 5 PM so the service was pretty good, but there were moments where no one came out since we were the only people there.

Really really tasty! I came on a rainy day with my boyfriend and found the whole place empty. No one was even at the register when we walked in. The lady was in the back helping with seemingly many delivery orders. We seated ourselves and checked out their menu. We saw some unique options but stuck to the classics for our first time here. Food: We ordered chicken pad thai, beef pad see euw, and mango salad. The pad thai is very similar to how we had it in Phuket - it's more saucy, more brown than the drier red/orange colored version that some places serve. The beef pad see euw was amazing. It was certainly our favorite dish of the two. The pad see euw is very saucy, sweet and smoky flavor. I absolutely loved the juicy rice noodles which were cooked so well. The proteins were slightly dry but the noodles more than made up for it. (Order this if you like beef)! The mango salad was different and refreshing. It was pieces of mango, red onion, tomatoes, little bit o' lettuce sprinkled with pepper flakes. I think it is a great way to lighten to palette when eating the heavier/saucier noodle dishes. My boyfriend thought the dishes were well portioned and he rarely thinks that lol The restaurant is a casual/cozy local feel. Definitely will be back :)

Ordered here through Uber eats for a quick work lunch. I got the ginger sauce dish w/ fried tofu + white rice and the lychee iced tea. Honestly, I love lychee drinks but this one was not good. It didn't taste like lychee at all and left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. The ginger sauce dish came with onions, peppers, mushrooms, & corn plus my added tofu. Overall, it was a good meal with a flavorful sauce and a nice sized portion. If you are looking for a quick takeout meal this spot will do the trick, otherwise I would pass on it.

We happened to be nearby and stopped by for dinner, and it was the so good! The mango salad with mint in chefs kiss. The fried chicken was perfectly crispy but also not at all greasy, served with sticky rice. We also got Tom yum soup, and basil fried rice which was also top notch. Unlike a "just takeout" spot this place has great decor and vibe, and also a great playlist. The portions were perfect and the hostess was so on point. Food came care minutes after we ordered, great service - give this neighborhood spot a try!

Duck noodle was not disappoint. Kuay tiew kaak- curry noodle with rice noodle, chicken, bean sprouts, egg, and peanuts was a good reminiscence. The curry itself was very thick which makes this dish heavy. This was the same as before. Kao soy chicken was a bit different. It used to be bone in thigh, which was the highlight of the dish. Over the years, they've updated the dining room and become a bit more polished to keep up with the wave of trendy, upscale restaurants that have opened around them. Thankfully, the food hasn't changed. The flavors remain solid, traditional, and deeply satisfying. While many places have leaned into fusion or toned things down for broader appeal, this restaurant has stayed true to its roots. Whenever I'm feeling nostalgic for the flavors I remember from the back alleys of Bangkok, this is where I come. It's still one of the closest experiences I've found outside of Thailand.

They definitely didn't tell me that lunch specials were available before I ordered my soup. Other than that, everyone is pleasant. The kitchen here doesn't shy away from traditional flavors--the food is unapologetically spicy and savory, avoiding the "overly sweet" profile that many Thai spots fall into. Here's the breakdown of what we tried: Tom Yum Goong: This was the star of the show. It had a sharp, clean heat and a perfect citrus punch without that syrupy finish you often find elsewhere. Crispy Pork Belly: Exactly what you want it to be. The skin was incredibly crunchy, and the meat remained tender, seasoned perfectly to highlight the savory pork flavor. Fried Fish: Deep-fried to perfection with a light, crispy exterior. The sauce paired chili and fish sauce with fresh mango. Crab Fried Rice: Generous with the crab meat and wonderfully "wok-hei" (charred) and salty. It wasn't bogged down by sweet soy sauce, allowing the delicate crab to shine. The only real sweetness of the night came from the Mango Sticky Rice, which was the perfect, cooling end to a very spicy meal. The mango was ripe and the coconut milk was rich, providing the only sugary reprieve of the evening. Service was so nice. The hostess and sever were so nice and friendly. The severer felt like a Thai uncle, he made jokes, gave us napkins, joked with my child. It felt so familial. The papaya salad with green papaya, string bean, tomato and roasted peanut with spicy lime juice was refreshing and light. The Pad woon sen has sauteed glass noodle, egg, onion, scallion, cabbage, celery, carrot, tomato and sesame oil. The second time I visited, I had the Pad see ew with beef. The Pad see ew has sauteed wide noodles with Chinese broccoli, black soy sauce, and egg. Both dishes were very flavorful, delicious, delectable, and appetizing. The dishes were very filling and there was a good proportion of noodles and protein. I've had the Rainfall in Loei and Fang Martini Time, both are really good drinks and not overly strong. We shared the mango sticky rice for dessert and it was good. The mango was very fresh and the sticky rice with coconut milk was sweet, but not overly. My friends ordered the Kopi De Trang, Spicy Maesai Plum, Rainfall in Loei, Thai ice tea lychee, pad see ew with chicken, pad kee mao beef (non spicy), and khao soi gai confit. I ordered a pad kee mao beef with a spice level of 2 to go. It is a great option to have a spicy and non spicy option for pad kee mao. Everyone enjoyed their food.
