I asked for them to warm it up then he ended up giving me a different one that was fresh. The fries had been sitting waiting for the chicken to be made. It's Popeye's. I had trouble ordering on the App. Their employees were helpful in telling me where I messed up. Even with a gazillion points, I could only get one chicken sandwich with points during my visit. Anything else would have to be paid with cash or credit card. The fried chicken sandwich is what we get when we are sick of burgers. It's a good chicken sandwich. It's Popeye's. It's fast food. Had the worst experience ever and don't ever plan on eating here ever again! My family and I ordered the spicy chicken family meal. Had to wait for 50 minutes to get our food. The short lady who was making our order told me to sit down and wait for my order to be called that was at 30 minutes later then at 40 minutes later said that it takes 15-20 minutes to make the spicy chicken which should've been doubled the time to make it and be ready and at 50 mins later I asked for a refund and said no all they could do was give me free food!! My mother and I are both have medical conditions which require us to eat a meal with medication and was delaying us from eating. We have always been loving Popeyes. This one does not disappoint in terms of food flavor and chicken texture. We ordered 5 piece tender and 6 piece wings with a varieties of sauces. It was great. The problem with this store is the wait time. Granted this is in a busy plaza off the 5 when everyone wants to rest, but we had to wait 15 mins for them to take our food order and another 15 mins to get the order. This is the best Popeyes to stop at when heading up the 5 Freeway. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained. Whenever I'm driving north, this is one of my main stops--to fill up on gas, stretch my legs, and grab a bite to eat. The chicken tenders here never disappoint. The service is great as well, nice workers. They offer a lot for truck drivers too, including massage chairs, showers, and even a place to watch a movie. We were on our camping trip to Sequoia and it was lunch time 09/08/24 Sunday. My wife loves the spicy chicken sandwich so she got one from this location inside of this gas station. The rest of family including me preferred In-N-Out burgers from the other side of the freeway. Anyhow, my wife had the diarrhea for 2 days after and the rest of family did not. The whole family, we ate the same thing for 2 days except for that chicken sandwich. She even said when she was eating it that it tasted different and it was greasy like the patty had been refried couple of times. Wasn't sure what to expect at a truck stop, it's a hit or miss. Not a fan of TA usually. There are a few choices here, tried black bear diner last time and eh, but we had been on the road for a while so fried chicken it is. Have the app and they have some good deals. Came in 7pm or so and it was only a couple people. Service was excellent, very nice man helped with our order and was patient with all my questions as I've only been a few times. Food took some time, but it was hot and fresh! Mmmmm wings and fries, hubby got tenders ( some of them were questionable size 6 tenders= 4 decent sized ones and Mac n cheese (which they upcharged for) it was not the best Mac but very cheesy and edible. I have to admit, no matter how dialed in my diet is, Popeyes Spicy Chicken has always been involved. Over the years, I feel the franchise has declined. I stear clear of some locations because it's gotten so bad. This location gives me hope. A frequent stop in my travels between LA and Bakersfield, this location is consistent in its quality of fried chicken. The staff is courteous and they are hustling to keep the lobby cleaned and stocked. There are times when its uber busy, the double bus, but that is expected and when it dies down they are cleaning tables and cooking more food. The level of service from Mercedes was 5 star. Very pleasant person. In all my visits I haven't had an issue with my food. The Fried Chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with tons of flavor. The restaurant is part of a truck stop, so you can pick up supplies for your trip too. See you next week. read more

I've been to a lot of these locations. This one is very solid. Excellent service, food came out hot and ready to eat. Definitely try the chicken combo (both mild and spicy). Samuel is the best! Our group drove up from LA to this Popeye's location for 2 hours to try the new Chicken Sandwich. We arrived around 9 PM on a Wednesday. We ordered some combos and thought that the fries were not many in the box, but Samuel explained that it is because they ran out of the small fries bags, so it was the right amount but just looked smaller.
