The pizza had bits of meatball, ricotta cheese, red sauce, and mozzarella cheese on a thin rustic crust, very thin towards the center and crunchy chewy on the edges. The pizza was decent with a modest amount of meatball, mainly distributed towards the center. On most pizzas I've had, the toppings were distributed evenly. Overall, the pizza was very hot and flavors were good.

The HR Cafe was not much better. We quickly ordered our lunch, ate and left. As we were leaving we noticed the signs signifying the non-smoking or "Smoke Free" area. Ironically, the slot machine adjacent to that sign had an ashtray on it. We are disappointed that the casino chose a layout with the smoking area so close to the front entrance and how it is right next to the HR Cafe and to Deep Cut Restaurant. As I write this review I can still smell the cigarette smoke. My One (1) Star rating is based on the above smoking area location, terrible air quality & smoke filtration system. We walked into a wood paneled room that had a stage for a band and tables with chairs to eat at. We were greeted by the nicest young man name Joshua. We decided to eat lunch. We were the only ones there at lunch time. We ordered two cheeseburgers, an order of fries and two drinks. The bill came to $32.00 with tax. I think my BF overhead that it was $2.00 of Wednesday. The burger pattie was huge. Best deal in California. Sure it took a while to get served, but we weren't in any rush anyways. It gave us time to get to know the staff. The nicest people ever. One girl said that there has been fires and backups on the Grape Vine almost every other day. Trucks are just driving too fast and brakes are catching on fire. Finally another customer that had just moved to Frazier Park from Texas comes in for lunch too. So, my advice - if you get stuck on Highway 5 before you hit the Grape Vine, there is an escape route to Koehler's Garden & Restaurant in Frazier Park. And yes, we drove through the small towns of Taft and Maricopa to end up at Buttonwillow on H5. The best part of the trip is that we had great burgers and did not sit in traffic.
