My mom had a craving to try the wings from Popeyes, so I decided to order on the app and eat at the restaurant. I like to do it this way so there is less chance for a mess up. Well...when I walked in I told them it was a pick up app order and when they first gave me the order they forgot my brother's drink. then I went to the table with the food and they got my mom's orders wrong and had to go back up there and wait to get his attention again so they can get it right. I said she ordered the naked wings with bbq sauce to dip. When they gave me it. They got it wrong still and I have never seen wings so tiny but my mom didn't want me to go back up there so she ate it. My bro didn't enjoy his boneless wings, I tasted it and they tasted kind of funky, not good. He didn't even finish it. He just ate the fries. I had the chicken sandwich and that was good. They had soaked floors looks like the soda machine malfunctioned and they left it like that with one little cone for warning. So you had to ask them for the drinks because the machine wasn't working. ***FYI: There's a coupon the the Popeye's website for a free 6 piece hot wings with the purchase of ANY combo*** I indulged in this crispy goodness while I'm still in my dietary grace period. The fact there's some amazing coupons on their site consistently makes it easy to give in! Be advised: some of the coupons do rotate out so I'm not sure how long the one for the hot wings will be there. But it gave me permission to get all the different things I wanted lol. I had to make 2 separate orders because I used 2 coupons. One for the 5 piece 2 can dine and the hot wings coupon after buying a chicken sandwich combo meal. I didn't know until I was browsing their site but they have new chicken sandwiches! There's a cajun chicken sandwich, which the website says is a different type of chicken patty than the original sandwich. But what really caught my eye was the bacon and cheese sandwiches. They basically just added bacon and cheese to each sandwich but I was IN. I recommend everyone reading this be in too. It was so good! Honestly, as always, everything was good. But as things are on a consistent basis with this location, my food was cold. The sandwich or the roasted garlic parmesan wings. Their wings are LEGIT. I got the garlic parm wings along with traditional hot and ghost pepper. I think they could rival pluckers or wingstop (my 2 faves). They had a nice crisp on the outside (even the saucy ones) and the meat was moist. First, I almost order ahead of time, using the Popeyes app. When I get to the window and tell them I'm picking up an internet order for -my name-, I would expect them to, perhaps, look around or at a machine for 30 seconds or less, and say "Oh, yes, Mr. -my last name-, we got your order. Once there, many customers that came AFTER me had received their food and left. I finally went to check on the status of my order after 15 mins of waiting only to find out it was STILL not ready even though there was already 4-5 other customers that received their food ordering AFTER me. It took another 15-20 minutes to get my food totaling 30+minutes with 0 urgency from the person bringing the food to the cars and the 2 drive through personnel I spoke with. There was also 2 other customers that waiting close to the same amount of time as me that were waiting outside with the same situation. You know.. I love Popeye's Chicken.. Its easily my favorite chain chicken and better than most fancy chicken restaurants. You would think it would be easy for them to get a four star review from me. You could also think the employees at this Popeye's would be at least competent enough to throw some chicken and biscuits in a box you would of course be wrong. The day before I went here I ate at Gus's fried chicken .. I though it was good but I needed to compare it to Popeye's and it had been too long since I had Popeye's. When I got my food, my fries were not only cold, but in the bottom of the bag not contained in anything, just sitting in the bag with my sauces on top of them as well as my sandwich. On top of this waste of time and money, my entire order was wrong except for the fries and sauces (which they had to ask about three times).
