I am writing to share my deep disappointment with the delivery service provided through your mobile app for the Dixon, CA location. Although the app offers a variety of customization options, I experienced significant technical glitches, including menu items vanishing and being restricted to only ordering boxes of chicken. Upon delivery, my order was missing two items. The driver informed me that drivers are not permitted to verify orders at the restaurant. Because my family was missing crucial parts of their dinner, I was forced to place an entirely separate, second order just to get the food we needed. I submitted a support ticket and had to wait two days for a response, only to be hit with an absurd request to provide pictures of the "affected items." I was never instructed to keep photographic proof when filing the original ticket, and more importantly, it is logically impossible to take pictures of items that were never delivered in the first place. Ultimately, I was told I would be refunded for just a single item from the original order and that the decision for the other missing food was final. They also completely refused to refund me for the duplicate delivery costs and tip of the second order that their mistake made necessary. To make matters worse, when I went back into the app to retrieve the receipt and information for that original order, the entire order history had been deleted from my account, and I have received no explanation as to why. I was charged for items I did not receive, and the combination of tech glitches, impossible demands, and defensive customer service has ruined my experience. I will not be using the app or patronizing Popeyes in the future. Amex agreed. The order was verified and I was charged for the whole thing. Popeyes seem to have the ability to do that correctly. Fulfilling the order correctly or providing the CS to correct it (when it wasn't correct) fell 100% short. Seems to be standard practice. read more

I have visited this Popeyes location several times, and each time I tell myself I won't return. Unfortunately, there aren't many dining options in the area, so I gave it another chance. Once again, I was disappointed. The customer service continues to be poor, with ongoing communication challenges and an unfriendly attitude from staff. I spent over $50 on my order and expected better quality. I specifically requested extra gravy with my mashed potatoes, but there was barely any included. The fries were hard and cold, and the fried pickles were cold as well. To make matters worse, I woke up around 2:00 a.m. with severe stomach cramps and pain that kept me awake until 4:30 a.m. The discomfort continued throughout the day and into the evening. The food was good but the service was absolutely horrible. Took my daughter last night after her softball game since we don't live in Dixon but that is where the game was. We walked in and weren't even greeted. The older lady was moving around then comes to the register and stands there doesn't say a word, just looked irritated for no reason. I ordered, she was rude with an attitude. Got our food asked for sauces. My daughter later goes back to ask for more sauce and she practically bites the other lady's head of saying she already got a sauce. I go up and she's extremely rude trying to break down how many sauces we get. I don't care if I had to pay for them, the attitude and rudeness of this lady was totally unacceptable. LOVE THAT CHICKEN FROM POPEYES!!! Specifically from this particular location! Now I have been coming to this Popeyes when they were conjoined with the 76 gas station! And when I came back to Dixon, I was so THRILLED to see them have their own brick and mortar location and man it's a beautiful one! When I was coming to them when they were inside 76 gas station back from 21' to 23', the chicken was slap ya ancestors good and is JUST AS GOOD as I remember at their new own location! I'm sad to see the many one star reviews, now to be fair. When they were at 76, I always did drive thru and the ladies and gents working there were ALWAYS very nice, and I went there quite a bit. And now coming back to Dixon 2025 in their new brick and mortar, customer service has been great for me, so far. I mainly order from the Popeyes app and set for pick up. My food is always hot and fresh, the workers are very nice through drive thru. And I actually went inside on Thursday night to get my order, it wasn't ready and I waited. The lady called me up for my order and gave my food, she was very nice, as were the rest of the staff there. They are a very busy location and located right off the freeway! we occasionally come to this location to buy a large pack of tenders for my daughter who is at UC Davis, she likes to reheat them throughout the week in her air fryer.. Their fried chicken is crunchier and tastier than the KFC in Davis and prices are also better for the box of 10 tenders when compared to Chick-fil-A or KFC. The inside of this location was very clean as well as the bathroom. There is also a drive-through and plenty of parking right in front. Have a manager who handles situations appropriately. The staff did not provide my meal in completion by not giving me two chicken sandwiches after I've spent $63.91 for my entire meal. Been calling to try to talk to a manager to figure out how to get my refund without having to drive another 25 minutes to the restaurant and back home. I've been calling for two days and the people on the other line are either acting like they don't understand my English or keep telling me that there's no manager that can help. The suggestion of the staff is that I drive back to Dixon from Vacaville to receive my two chicken sandwiches that I paid for yesterday that I should've gotten with my meal. I placed an order on 6/7/2026 from my app we went through the drive through the older lady at the window opened it and shoved the bag of food through and shut the window no acknowledgment or a thank you. 100% agree with other reviews stating this place needs a proper manager. How else to explain that EVERY SINGLE TIME they either: a. mess up the order-forget to give you a major item, or at least a side. b. are out of something. Most likey it will be nuggets or even wings (which they advertise so much). The service leaves A LOT to be desired and employees should be sent to some basic training on how to communicte with paying customers.The food is okay, but everything else is just bad. Thought that the new, big location would help but not much has changed. After they forgot my tenders (twice) and fries (also twice) I now take extra time to make sure everything in the bag, if I'm ordering through the drive-through. This place is terrible. Been there multiple times and the employees are consistently rude, but pretty much the only chicken fast food place around. I stood at the counter for lunch today. Nobody else in line or in the place. Employees would not initially even acknowledge my presence. One employee walked over and grabbed food for herself. She just stared at me as she took her food to lobby to eat. After a while one woman turned and said it will be a minute. I waited as the only customer. Another gentleman walked in and up to the counter next to me and she greeted him and started to assist him, still ignoring me. This location can be very unprofessional depending on who is working. I love popeyes and am a regular customer. When i get popeyes, I expect my food to be what I paid for. They know me well enough here that I expect my chicken to be normal sized. Sometimes they play games and serve a very abnormally tiny piece of chicken knowing that they would never choose that piece of chicken for themselves when they take their lunch! Additionally, they will also play games if you ordered spicy chicken and they run out and have to make more, instead of waiting, they will literally not tell you and just serve you the mild chicken! A lot of the workers here get attitudes when you ask them to fix something wrong with the order and it's crazy because they know they would ask for the same thing if they were paying for a service. My suggestion to those workers who get mad and take your anger and frustration out on customers: FIND ANOTHER JOB. We are paying for a service and deal with stressors in life just like you. I love Popeyes. However, an employee who titles himself as Manager named Luis refused service to myself and my family. Their building was closed and drive thru was the only thing open. We have an RV and so we couldn't fit in the drive thru. Therefore we walked through the drive thru to order. We pulled up to the window and Luis gave us a hard time, saying how safety was at stake for us walking through the drive through. He then proceeded to state that he can help us after all the other orders. So was safety the issue? Or just trying to get us out of the way? We were trying to order whatever was ready and available but we were given a hard time. At the end, we didn't get any food. The worker actually handling the drive thru looked at him crazy, seemed like she was trying to help us. Anyway, that Luis took his job way too seriously. We stopped by the 76 gas station to pump gas on the way back from a recent Tahoe trip and saw that Popeyes was next door. I instantly remembered the craze and hype around the Chicken Sandwich a few months ago. The unfortunate thing was the sandwich was always sold out so I didn't even bother trying to get it. Even when the supply was available/back in-stock, it was always for a limited time because everyone and their mom were buying them all. Anyways, I figured since I live close enough to a Chick Fil A which also sells Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, I couldn't possibly be missing out. Boy, was I wrong! Popeyes' Chicken Sandwich is WAY BETTER THAN Chick Fil A's Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Yes, I said it. I was blown away by how crispy and juicy the sandwich was at Popeyes. The batter on the chicken pieces isn't thick thankfully and has the perfect crunch in every single bite. The toasted brioche bun was soft and warm but built well enough to hold all of the sandwich contents. They don't play here at Popeyes! To top it off, they add spicy mayonnaise and pickles. I inhaled that sandwich within two minutes because it was that good! Chick Fil A's Spicy Chicken Sandwich doesn't even compare or come close because it isn't as crispy and juicy. Their waffle fries and house made lemonade are still legit though (but that's a separate discussion/review). Try the Popeyes spicy Chicken Sandwich for yourself. You won't regret it! The service here was quite efficient too since my food was done in two minutes even with a line of full of customers. read more

Then, when I told her my next order she raised her voice at me. Like WTH?? Why am I being scolded at for ordering the same as my first order but with customization. When my family got home, my brother reluctantly checked his mash potatoes and there was a couple of magots. My brother called immediately and all they did was refund his money. A second car was parked about half way into our wait, they received their food first even though they were behind us in the drive through and a huge order.
