I came here just leaving from the grocery store I stopped by just when they were opening. I asked for a white might meet two-piece. The guy was already rude. I'm an older woman. Come cool. I pulled up and I asked. Could I have a drumstick or a thigh? I've been coming here 40 years. They have very small wings. He tells me no. I told him I never heard of that before. He decides to tell me to leave and he's not going to serve me because I asked for a drumstick or a thigh. Nobody else is there and you just opening up. He was a racist Mexican. I'm a writer review. I might even call the news, but it's an ignorant ignorant Hispanic up in there. It was uncalled for never curse them. Never raised my voice of course I went off after the fact I was asked to leave because I asked for a drumstick and he want to try to tell me a lie that I couldn't get that so he asked me to leave. I reached out to corporate and I'm going to write a review and then I'm going to contact a few other people to make a complaint because it was racially motivated. He needs to be terminated. How would you ever ask a paying customer to leave over a drumstick that you don't own? He doesn't own anything in there. They probably got fake names and social security numbers. DO NOT GO TO THIS POPEYE'S. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS POPEYE'S. This is not a place to get food. They will not give you any food. Through the windows you will see people inside wearing uniform shirts, but they will not give you any food. You can't talk to anyone inside. Even if you ordered and paid for your food, they will not give it to you. My theory is that some people got hired to work here, but they aren't paid very much, and because of this they don't do any work; they just clock in and hide somewhere inside. It is currently the last day of 2022. There were a lot of very good restaurants that closed this year for various reasons. Why not this one. When will this place close. It is so very, very bad. I like to think about everyone who works here having to go find another job, and the only jobs they can find are ones where they have to actually work, and they are sad about that. This location isn't the best. The drive-thru is frequently busy and very, very slow, to the point where I often see lines of traffic backed up into the road. Seeing that the lobby isn't open, the long drive-thru line is pretty detrimental to my review. It's much easier to go down the street to McDonalds than wait here. The food itself is okay. I was skeptical to order here because if the low ratings but WOW we were pleasantly surprised! Our food was fresh, hot, the Mexican elderly lady at the window that gave us our food was so friendly and kept smiling at us. We were worried because the girl that took our order was the opposite. I'm giving up on this location. I'd give it one-star only but when I can finally get my food it is good. I am sick and tired of having to wait in the drive-up for 10-15 minutes every time I go there. The other day there were only 2 cars in front of me and it took SEVENTEEN minutes! And their lobby isn't even open to compete with - it's drive-up only! What are they doing in there? Slaughtering the chickens themselves that it takes so long? If someone further up in the line has a bigger order or they're having to make something to order, why can't they take a cue from McDonald's and Culver's and have that car pull into a parking spot and they'll bring the food out when it's ready in order to keep things moving? My visits to PopEyes are few and far between. Not sure why really. I have been on a chicken tender kick for the last few months. I decided to try the Tenders here. I get to the driv thru. Service is adequate considering the times we are living in now. I had heard about a 3 tender combo special for $5.00. Not at this location I guess. The 3 pc combo came to $7.00 with tax. I chose the Cajun Rice and Lemonade. Order was prepared quckly and handed to me. These Buffalo Ranch Tenders come drizzled with a buffalo sauce. They give you some packets of honey and their Louisiana Hot Sauce. I didn't try those on these today. I tried out the Cajun Rice first. It was decent rice. Flavorful Andouille sausage crumbles and tender rice. The bufflao sauce drizzled on the Tenders looked kind of strange. At first glance, it looked liked Cheese Whiz. The flavor though did come out as a buffalo sauce flavor. The tenders itself were not very uniform in size or shape. I bit into a peice and was dissappointed in the tenderness of it. Tenders are tenders but these had a tougher texture than other tenders I have had. If I feel like making a mess in my kitchen, I can make better tenders at home. Plus, I have a special sauce that I make for a dipping sauce. If you follow my reviews, you can tell I am not a big fan of Fast Food places really. Usually, it's fine but lately, they been messing up. Went through the drive thru and order. Always check your order before you leave even though they are trying to rush you to leave. Missing items. Also- get a receipt. They over charged me and I didn't realize u til after I left. I didn't order a combo but they charge me a combo. This Popeye's has definitely seen better days. They abide the standard deals that Popeye's corp advertises but that is about it. They make their own rules otherwise. You want sauce to go with a meal? - That'll be $0.83 extra (for a 1 ounce sauce cup! You can get a bigger sauce at McD for $0.50! The guy explained that you get one with the strip meal only - I ordered a bone in chicken meal so I had to pay extra for my sauce). The food is excellent, it's the details that killed the experience. I'll probably go out of my way to go to a different location or stop going altogether. Shame. read more

As if fast food wasn't enough of a gamble, this particular joint brings a new layer of intrigue. No matter what you order in the drive through, they give you what they want to give you. Sometimes it's good, like the time I got my order AND a free three piece meal. And sometimes like today, it's bad, where I got half my order. If you want the correct order, you have to check it before you drive off. Sure, they get pissed, and the cars behind you honk and suggest unique ways to impregnate family members, but it appears to be the only way to make sure you got anywhere near what you paid for. read more

I pulled up to the window and they told me I ordered something totally different and tried to charge me 17 dollars instead of 5. I had a great experience here. The employees were very polite and patient. One of them spoke Spanish to my husband which he really appreciated, and one even came to our table to ask if we needed anything after we got our food. I tried to try is place out with my wife via the drive thru. The guy working the drivethru couldn't understand me and asked me to pull up to the window. As I pulled around the building a mini van was in front of me at the window and they just threw the bag of food back at a female manager. She then freaked out and started swearing at them as they pulled away. Then two women got out of a car in the parking lot and walked in front of my car to the window. The guy working there knew them and an exchange of goods for cash was done in front of me, I wonder what that was. This location has been consistently bad and I'm done going there. They are often out of basic menu options such as spicy chicken strips. Today they didn't have full order of spicy chicken strips and no boneless wings. I went through the drive thru , waited 15 minutes and had to remind them to give me drinks.
