If I could give zero stars, I would. I went to Popeyes to pick up an order for my family and encountered an extremely rude and disrespectful cashier. I checked my order, which was supposed to include a leg and a thigh, but instead, I received a leg and a breast. When I politely pointed out the mistake, the cashier mumbled under her breath with a bad attitude. When I asked her what she said, she began speaking in Spanish to the manager, Genesis. I explained the issue to Genesis, and she asked to see my receipt. I went back to my car, got the receipt, and showed her how the app displayed the order. Despite this, the cashier, Gabriella, continued being rude and tried to interrupt me while I was explaining the issue. When I asked for her name, she rudely said "Genesis, and what" like she was trying to fight. I'm extremely disappointed with this experience and wanted to leave this review to warn others about the poor customer service at this location. read more

I did not check in on Yelp before I ordered my food here. My mistake...lawd ha mercy! Just drive on by, don't even look in the direction. I haven't had Popeyes since treating myself to the chicken sandwich last December. Decided to indulge in the Tuesday special (bruhhh when did it go up to $1.79) and stopped here since the location on Spring Cypress was hella busy and I had to go this way anyway. You can see the kitchen and fryers through the drive thru window. It was disgusting in there. Dirty, crusty utensils, front of fryers were dirty, flour everywhere. Dude stated it was a 5 minute wait and I said great, because what germs can survive hot grease. I'ma pray over it and keep it moving. I parked and waited with 2 other vehicles. 12 minutes later, no food. I was playing on my phone when I saw something scurry back and forth. Little Ben just having the time of his life. Now granted it was outside in the parking lot but coupled with the condition of that kitchen, it wouldn't surprise me if Ratatouille and his crew were partying it up inside as well. Immediately went inside and got a refund, I'm good. Manager pointed out all the outside orders sitting on the counter to the drive thru boy who clearly has a short memory span. I try to be fair and honest in all my reviews so it really pains me to write this bad review but I owe it to other consumers to be honest and tell the truth. My husband drove from Hockley to this location on FM 2920 which is approximately a 20 minute to buy dinner for the family. He bought a 12 piece family pack with large half gallon of tea and one pumpkin cream cheese pie. The chicken was OLD, DRY and DISGUSTING. We literally threw the box away. We tried to call the location and complain but no one answered. We spent over $30 on a worthless meal. The red beans and rice didn't have much rice, it was mostly bean soup. The biscuits were dry and old. The half gallon of tea was gritty and nasty. The best thing about the whole meal was small pumpkin cream pie. I really wanted a refund but 20 minutes was a little too far to drive back to the store and then 20 minutes back home. That's 40 minutes of wasted time, gas and $30+ of worthless disgusting food. I'm attaching photos of the receipt and dry chicken. This was last Saturday evening 11/9. I won't be wasting anymore money at this location. . I would never feed this trash to my family. We quit coming to this location in Waller because every time we order then drive to the window, just to be told they are out of spicy chicken and have to wait 10-15 minutes to fill my order. Havnt eaten at this location in a year. We have the app and order at other locations and love it. No waiting at all. Today we ordered 15 minutes early on the app and when we pull up to the order and told them we ordered online they say pull to window. This place is terrible and has been ever since it opened! The chicken is dry and tough, and small little pieces of chicken, not nearly the size of KFC. The macaroni and cheese is terrible...cheese isn't melted, just powdered on top of the pasta...and too spicy. Got mashed potatoes and gravy too....too spicy as well and not enough gravy, barely 1/2 teaspoon of gravy on potatoes. Drive 20 minutes away to the next nearest location and I'm sure it would be fine compared to this one. I will never come back here again in my entire life. I would rather roast in the deep red fires of eternal damnation in hell than come back to this place and waste one more waking moment of my time waiting for them to cook me chicken that they should have pretty much ready to go by the time I pull up. This is by far the worst Popeyes franchise that I've ever been to. Other than seeing a filthy kitchen through the drive-through window on every visit, this location has been OK in the past. Over the last few months the service has dropped to horrible. Each and every visit there has been something missing from the store. One week they were out of spicy chicken. The next trip....sorry no apple pies. Today's trip sorry...no Diet Coke or other soft drinks. During one visit they were out of containers so they served red beans and rice in a drink cup. It is now 43 days later since I received the single worst customer service from any establishment. Today I received the corporate Brush off, unwanted refund, from the call center drones after I was banished to the corporate phone lines because the people on site were apparently incapable of addressing an error in their own system. There was no possible way to address my order that was glaringly wrong. I will have to take it up with the phone lines... However they were happy to charge me for a second order. After literally being denied any actual chicken, which I have already paid for, the solution I was offered was to pay for a new order disregarding the now unwanted and incomplete original order. I was ignored for extended periods of time I think they were hoping I'd just leave. Then the fine gentleman informed me that he contacted his district manager and his hands were tied. The combined resources of the employees on site and the assistance of the district manager and the only way they would be able to fulfill my order is to place a new one... Today's special one order for the price of two! I guess that how they make up for the two for $2 Tuesday special. 43 days numerous phone calls several emails and I get told sorry you received the wrong order in an email... are you serious No one in this company pays attention. I didn't receive an order incorrectly. I paid for food and was refused the food. $21 for a side of rice, fries, and biscuits. All I needed was a few tenders.... it was on your screen you showed it to me... I have a receipt in my hand!! Where is the disconnect?? Everyone involved was powerless. Never given a Yelp rating... I would have given this poor review directly to the www.tellPopeye's.com website on the back of the receipt but conveniently there was no store # on the receipt. Just the address and telephone number. My husband and I went through the drive-thru and the employee taking our order seemed have an attitude and was unfriendly. When we drove to the window there was a different employee taking our money. She was at least "friendlier" than the other one. That did not prevent our order from being wrong, missing condiments we asked for, NO utensils, and the food being absolutely terrible. TERRIBLE. There is only one location of Popeyes in This area that I will even eat at. I mistankingly took for granted that the 2920 street address was in Waller because there has only been two to show near my house. I ordered the 14 piece special around 8:58 pm. I called to request half spicy, half mild because the app dis not give the option. I go to the Waller location to find out I had placed the order at the wrong place. It is now around 9:20 and there is about a 15 min drive further north. I arrive at this store and go to the drive thru only to be told that the order is not ready and to drive to the front of the store. A male associate comes out to tell me they dont have any chicken and that the fryers are down for cleaning. I inform him of the time between speaking with someone about mixing the chicken and arriving was close to 30 minutes. He proceeds to give me details of getting a refund online or comin back for the order tomorrow at no extra charge. I commence to say that if I leave without food tonight there is absolutlely no reason for me to be charged anything extra tomorrow. He agrees and goes back in only to come out 2 mins later to tell me that he does have chicken but it is not in the pieces Popeyes specifies. Cool...He comes back out to say he doesnt have biscuits and that I could get an extra side. Ok..Give me an extra red beans.. He goes back in. Three minutes later a female comes out to tell me what the other guy had just said. I inform her that the previous guy knew I wanted red beans. Guess what no red beans just mashed potatoes. Ok...Bring them...Before she walks in she says if I can wait 6 minutes they will have biscuits...I am dumbfounded at this point and agree to wait. She brings them and I leave. I went through the drive-thru at this Popeyes. It took over 15 minutes to get my food. In my interactions with three different employees, not one said hello, thank you or offered an apology for the long wait. The food was fine when we eventually received it, which is the only reason that this is not a one star. I did have to remind them about two parts of my order that they forgot.
