I really enjoy this place!! Has amazing choices of food,and it taste amazing. The location is great, in case you forget your lunch and you work near by this is the place to go. That way you can avoid all the traffic in Kirkland or The crazy parking at carillon point. The breakfast burrito is amazing you can never go wrong with that. They also have some great sandwich choices. The Ruben and the chicken chipotle are my favorite so far. They are made to perfection and the taste is fabulous. Last but not least! I come here 1-2x a week since my work is nearby. The staff is great, very friendly and the place is well kept. The breakfast burrito is definitely my favorite, I could honestly eat one every day! This place is more affordable than the average cafe joint but the coffee is ok, mediocre at best. They offer a variety of sandwiches hot and cold, soups, salads, etc. but they are a few dollars more expensive than their breakfast listings. They also don't always have coconut milk in stock which sucks so I have to use soy milk as an alternate. Overall, I would give this place 3.5 stars but rounding to 4 since Yelp's ratings are limited. read more

This place rewards me for being lazy. I work right near here, and it's about a 45 second walk from my employer's front door to Poppinjay's. I'd heard about "The Deli" next door for quite some time before I got a chance to eat here. It was never open when I was in the neighborhood. (Note: I was only in the neighborhood from 9pm to 7am, so this was totally expected.) When my shift changed to put me in the right place at the right time, I marched my self right on over and put in my order. The girl making my sandwich was polite, friendly, and attractive. This leads me to believe that she either likes working here or they pay a lot, as I am unused to people reacting well to my presence. So +1 there. The menu is easy to read, lists what's-in-what, has a clearly defined pricing structure, offers some customizability, contains choices which should be able to satisfy nearly everyone's foibles about food. +1 I struck up a conversation with a random, friendly guy with a broom, who ended up being the manager, just tidying up the place. It really looked like he cared about the business, as opposed to just making money. He and I talked for the few moments I was waiting for my sandwich (Pastrami & Swiss, toasted) to get crispy, and he was quite capable of holding a random conversation that didn't involve boasting or cajoling me into ordering something more. +1. At this point, my food is done, and i get it in one of those environmentally-sound-pressed-paper-rather-than-styrofoam-carryout-boxes and wander back to work with my prize. The pastrami was excellent. The cheese was melty and tasty. The lettuce was crispy and didn't taste like dirty water (You know what I'm talking about) and the tomatoes that I asked to have removed from the order were actually not there, nor had they ever touched my sandwich! The spreads were creamy and matched well with the rest of the stuffs in the sandwich and the bread (though toasted and surrounding hot meat and cheese) was fresh and toasty, but not with that soggy-moist thing that happens most times a place toasts a sandwich (ala subway or quizno's). +1 So this ends up costing me about seven bucks, which seems a bit much for a sandwich, but on further examination, it's about what I'd pay for a footlong at subway or something, but then I'd end up with some leftovers that don't really warrant saving, and if I eat the rest, I'm always uncomfortably full, which leaves throwing away the rest as my only option. The sandwich here was just enough to be filling, without being overfilling, so the price issue is really not that bad, but at the same time, it's still a $7 sandwich. So +0. Overall, it's a four. The lady who works here is very sweet but this place is HELLA overpriced for what you get. Like unbelievably overpriced: and they can get away with it because there are not a lot of other options for food close by. There are a lot of tasty-sounding options but the portions are small and the dish usually doesn't live up to how good it sounds on the menu. The apple and mango smoothie is probably my favorite thing I've had here and it was over $7 for a medium sized cup of blended up fruit and yogurt. This is my lunchtime spot. I would have never known it existed or been if I didn't work right next to it. Quick, cheap, healthy sandwiches and salads are to be had. Bonus, they actually taste good! Food: I have had their chili, thai salad, and turkey sandwich. The chili was good, hearty, and thick. The salad was delicious, with a very nice light salad dressing (thai inspired). The turkey sandwich was large and fresh, with very crisp lettuce and just the right amount of condiments. Atmosphere: It's a quite little cafe with a lot of natural light. It's in the basement of an office building facing a parking lot, so you don't go there for the view. In fact, you probably only go there if you work in a nearby office building as it's a very 'work/lunch' type spot. However, they have newspapers and some local postings to read while you eat, and it's a great way to break up the busy day. Price: A bit overpriced for the salads ($7-8), but the sandwiches and chile were fair priced, each under $5. Bottom-line: Decent food, but honestly not worth going to unless you work in the above office building. read more

This place is so average. The food was not good, but not terrible, just really... meh. I had the Spicy Black Bean Wrap, which is essentially a microwaved black bean burger, that was chopped up and put on a wrap tortilla with some lettuce, tomato, and onion. It comes with Thousand Island dressing, but when I bit into my wrap it tasted so dry! When I asked for some extra dressing on the side, the woman behind the counter rolled her eyes at me. So not helpful. And the "side of fruit" that comes with the wrap tasted really old and rotten, like it had been out for at least a few days :P So you think, if it's average, I should have given them 3 stars... well, I probably would have, if not for the lack of customer service. I get that it's just a quick place to grab a bite for lunch, but at least be courteous. Not to mention, my wrap was almost $10, (no drink). read more

This Cafe is in my building complex. I used to go a lot because the food was great but more recently it has gone downhill. I hadn't be back in a while but I decided to go in today because I forgot my lunch at home. I ordered an incredibly standard chicken caesar salad. This was my go to because they used to be so good. Dressing was super flavorful, plenty of chicken, shaved parm and croutons. I'm sitting here eating the salad at my desk just extremely disappointed. Its under dressed, there is barely any chicken and no croutons at all. A huge waste of $9. It used to be worth it to go up there to get lunch if i forgot but after this salad I think I will just bite the bullet and drive up to Bellevue where I can get a meal and not feel disappointed. read more

Not a bad spot in my building. Great breakfasts, made to order. Omlettes, breakfast burrito's and bfast sandwiches. Lunches aren't bad either with a rotating menu that changes probably 1x a month. Friendly staff and the prices are reasonable. I mostly do the breakfast and have not been dissapointed. read more

Overpriced for small portions of mediocre food. Still being the closest lunch place to my work I frequent this location at least once or more a week. However my co-workers and I are all boycotting after continuous issues. Staff is rude half the time, they go on lunch during the lunch rush! Making lines longer and service slower, while staff member is sitting in lobby eating and annoyed if they need to jump behind the counter to help. Than last week I went to get a bagel and cream cheese, only to be told after waiting and paying that they are out of cream cheese. Disappointed I asked if I could have a $1 off since no cream cheese. They told me it is still $2.50 for plain bagel, but that would be happy to refund me the money. So they refunded me the $2.50 and tossed the bagel. I will never eat here again. read more
