A very community/family oriented bagel place! It's a great location. I have to bring my own almond milk, but I don't mind. They don't offer dairy free spreads, but we got this avocado on the bagel that was really fresh!

No salt, no pepper, no butter and the bagel wasn't toasted. Women behind the counter didn't give a crap

The person behind the counter had no one else on line and yet managed to get my order almost completely wrong. She did not toast the bagel, add salt pepper or butter and looked put off to have to work at the bagel store. P.s. just moved into the area and am looking for a local bagel shop, this is NOT the place.

I wish I would have written a review about a year ago for poppyseed, because this was always our number one go to for egg sandwiches and bagels. The first stop before any road trip or city adventure! I have noticed quite a change in quality recently and sandwiches today are pretty slim and had hardly any egg. The bagels are still good, but our favorite sandwiches are missing that special something they once had.

Poppy Seeds is HANDS DOWN my favorite bagel store of all time. I have been coming here since I was a kid, and the bagels have only gotten better. This place is a hole in the wall in a strip mall that is completely hidden. The inside is definitely a little grungy, but the management is working to change that. They've recently added an ATM machine, a mounted flatscreen TV (unnecessary if you ask me), more signs to show the variety of menu options have popped up recently as well. The staff is always friendly, even when I show up at 6:15 in the morning. The bagel selection is tremendous- they've got all sorts of flavors and varieties. I always order the same thing; an egg bagel with scallion cream cheese and a medium coffee little half and half and sugar. The egg sandwiches are always perfectly cooked to order, too. If you're looking to try something new here, order a bagel with bacon and cream cheese (just trust me on this one). Overall, Poppy Seeds will always be my hometown favorite breakfast spot.

Disgusting dry and oily. The darker parts are bits of dried potato. These home fries were not edible or salvageable

Perfect place to grab hero's to watch football on Sundays or just to grab lunch if you live in the area. This is perhaps the best deli that I have been to in many years. They truly make a great sandwich and the place is immaculate. Plenty of seats and great tables to eat at. I ordered the Ashley hero, which was chicken cutlets, cheddar cheese, onions rings, bacon on toasted garlic bread. It's definitely a heart attack sandwich, but so worth it lol. Chicken cutlet are fresh and fried to perfection and the bacon is cooked perfectly. All the components to this sandwich blend great together and just an all around solid sandwich. Everything they have is fresh and good portions, good atmosphere, nice people working there and highly recommend this sandwich spot.

Not at all like the pictures or what i recalled. There were old signs on the wall and old serving stations that appeared unkempt and had seen better days. To be blunt, it looked dilapidated Food: I ordered an italian hero and was told they "ran out of ham". I dont care about that however upon reviewing the menu and old reviews, that is not the case and the fact that it was lied about, and the meat case was bare is questionable. When I arrived home, the item had turkey on it which I had requested be removed. The item also didnt have seasoning and dressing as specified. (it if did it was so little it was undetectable). Lastly, my macaroni salad was missing

I'm not someone who enjoys leaving negative reviews, but unfortunately there's a reason the ratings aren't high. When you walk in, the servers are right there, but they look at you and don't say anything. It's awkward from the start. I'm not sure if it's a language barrier or just the way things are run, but it makes the whole experience confusing. They have iPads for ordering, but there are no signs or directions anywhere telling you that's what you're supposed to do. So when someone finally acknowledged me, I started to order at the counter, and the guy told me to order on the iPad instead. I tried, but I couldn't make the modifications I wanted, and when I attempted to explain that, communication became really difficult. He eventually had to call someone else over to help. Trust me, I have a lot of patience for language barriers, but when there's attitude involved, the sympathy goes out the window. It just makes everything more frustrating than it needs to be. Now, the food itself? Actually very good. I was excited to try the Impossible chopped cheese because I've heard great things from other locations, and it did not disappoint. It was really delicious, just a little pricey, especially when you compare it to a regular chopped cheese from a bodega for half the cost. My husband got the chicken tenders, and he said they were also very good. So here's the bottom line: the food is solid, but the service is extremely off-putting. We even tried giving them a second chance, and the experience was basically the same. I'd consider ordering online, but the prices on their website are literally double, and when my husband pointed it out, they argued with him. All in all, the food alone is good enough that I want to like this place, but I'm not sure I'd go back. Try at your own risk, LOL.

The sausage & egg were not large enough for the bagel. This was also one of the more expensive bagel sandwiches I've bought in the area and I don't think the quality matches the price. The place also felt messy and unclean. Maybe the quality and cleanliness would have been better if I got food first thing in the morning, but I don't think I'll be heading back here anytime soon given the other options in the area.

So I made my way over there to try em out. Long Island really rapes you on a bacon egg and cheese, or at least this crap-hole does. Paid something close to $9 and it was god awful. I have a hard time believing this ever could have been good. I see 80-90% of the pix on here are from one dude three years ago, some look good n all, but this place is anything but. Hard pass.
