    Five Spice Roasted Duck
    Jess L.

We took a chance on this spot for delivery, and I'm very glad we did. We really liked our dishes, and the price was really great. The five spice roasted duck was generous with the duck portion. The cumin lamb was also flavorful. If you remember only one thing, get the firecracker chicken. I could eat this everyday. The only thing I'd recommend is not getting the bubble tea. The boba was very grainy and chewy.

I surprised my hunny with takeout from here and placed an order for the POP Shrimp Box with Spicy Mayo Dip, Firecracker Chicken, Char Siu Chicken Fried Rice, and Firecracker Beef Dumplings. Oh yeahhhh....Poprice I just knew you'd be a good place to order from. Something deep down in my soul told me that the food would be good. Everything was bussin except for the firecracker beef dumplings. They were a tad too salty for my taste. Portions were decent enough for leftovers.

I was pleasantly surprised by PopRice! We ordered delivery from here this evening for dinner. It's pretty much your standard mall food court style stuff IMO but for a quick dinner it definitely did the trick. We ordered: Beef short rib and fried rice Char Siu chicken and fried rice POP shrimp box Pop fried chicken box Wings (with suwon steak sauce) Beef Skewers String beans Chinese broccoli My least favorite was the char siu chicken which I found to be a bit rubbery and just weird taste wise. Neither my husband, my kids or myself liked it. I felt the fried chicken had that same rubbery texture. The wings however were great. Everything else was delicious as well. Our favorite was the beef short rib. And the fried rice was extremely yummy. I don't know if I would make this place a staple in our delivery rotation but it's definitely an option for a quick tasty meal. The prices aren't bad either and the portions are very decent.

Never ordering from this place again, $30 for 2 mediocre dishes. The menu is pretty limited, we tried the firecracker chicken which everyone talks about and it was disappointing. VERY greasy, not much flavor, all I tasted was oil and the chicken had a weird consistency. The rice that came with the Beef Short Rib Bulgogi was tasteless, the beef itself was very tasty, saved the dish.

    Fresh Lemon Iced Tea

This place was surprisingly good. I was expecting this to be like Panda Express (which I like for what it is) but this was a good mix between Americanized and traditional Chinese food. I didn't give it 5 stars because the rice dishes didn't have enough meat for $14 dish. I ordered through Uber eats so not sure if there was a surge charge per dish. Price - On the pricier side - $14 a dish Food - The short ribs was tender and had a good KBBQ flavor. The duck was also tender and flavored with hoisin sauce. The flavoring reminds of Peking duck. I liked the fried rice. It has a cumin flavor which was unique to me. The string beans was cooked traditionally where it is lightly fried first and then sautéed. The top layer was good but as you get closer to the sauce/oil at the bottom, it gets a bit salty. The POP shrimp was decent. It has a starch-based coating and it's lightly salted. The lemon ice tea was good! It reminds me of a drink from a HK diner. Overall, I would order from them again!

The owner is one of the most unprofessional individuals I have ever spoken to. The way i was treated was unbelievable. I made a purchase online and for some reason i never received a confirmation code. I went to the establishment mind you I live like 2 mins away. Once I showed up the first employee refused to help me and once someone that could actually speak to me with out a langue barrier showed up all they did was brush me off i explained the situation and thats when they called the owner. They put the owner on the phone and initially said no worries he was going to fix it. He asked for prove as i sent him the pictures of the transaction for my bank. All the sudden the attitude changed and now he became hostile. He started calling me a scammer and started threatening to call the cops. Be mindful i wasn't even in the establishment anymore as he had said he'd take care of it in like 15 mins. Well the end of it all i was treated with the such disrespect its unbelievable. Below you can see the messages. This is the owner. This is a prime example of how a small business shouldn't be run. This should be embarrassing and I'm embarrassed to have such an establishment in my neighborhood. We need better business with individuals that actually care for their clients not this.

Beef Short Rib Bulgogi ($13.50): take-out
    Harris L.

Poprice is a new place that seems to focus on fried rice and fried chicken, likely geared more towards Western customers than Asian customers. I think Poprice could use more time to find its groove. We ordered two fried rice combo meals for delivery: - Five Spice Roasted Duck ($14.50): although not indicated on the menu, there was a medium level of heat to the rice that lingered. There were bits of un-rendered duck skin in the rice -- i.e., not crispy, but soft and fatty. - Beef Short Rib Bulgogi ($13.50): the beef cubes were a bit chewy. The portions are large, with multiple servings possible from each meal. The fried rice combo meals seem to share a common base, with wet and somewhat clumpy rice, soft broccoli and hard carrots. I hoped to see more differentiation between the meals for the price, such as a fried rice tailored for each protein, as well as more or higher quality protein. No condiments were included -- perhaps Poprice could be creative about this for another point of distinction. The "kimchi salad" side (actually, just kimchi) seemed watered down in flavor, and the "broccoli salad" side seemed to be extra broccoli from the fried rice. Delivery was prompt; within the estimate provided at time of order. Each meal came with a hot and sour soup which Poprice forgot to initially deliver, but they made up for it by returning very quickly with the soup and a very tasty complimentary lemon iced tea, which seemed to be made with fresh lemons. They also get kudos for including biodegradable utensils. Poprice is offering a 10% discount and free local delivery during its grand opening -- not sure how long this will last. Overall: 2.5 stars, rounded up for the Lemon Iced Tea, and good service.

General Tso Chicken Fried Rice with a piece of steak from the Poprice Steak Skewer.
    Rona D.

The first time I ordered delivery from Poprice. I ordered the General Tso Chicken Fried Rice and Poper Steak Skewers. The chicken fried rice is tasty with minimal spiciness. Just right for me. The fried rice is not greasy but just a little dry BUT if you mix it with the moist chicken it's fine. The chicken is sprinkled with sesame seeds. The fried rice has broccoli, carrots & egg. The steak skewers were very good. Grilled with the right amount of chewiness. Not hard. Moist & flavorful. The chicken fried rice comes in a nice-sized bowl. The 3 skewers have nice chunks of steak. The general tso chicken fried rice did have the red chopped up in it, but they are easy to pick out. I don't eat them. Passion fruit iced tea is sweet. It comes with ice in the cup. Not too much ice. Enough so as it melts it dilutes the sweetness. I am looking forward to ordering from Poprice again.

Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the opening of this restaurant and wanted to try it out. There are no indoor seating and everything seems to be to go. The waitress was very nice and patient in answering all my questions regarding the food. I ordered the beef short rib fried rice and breaded chicken flats. The cooking area is very clean and everyone is masked. They also have $1.00 lemon teas with your lunch order of special fried rice. I decided to get it last minute. So so good! The beef short rib fried rice is amazing!! So worth the price. The flavors and the tender meat just melt in your mouth. I added hot chili oil and it was sooo gooddddd. I literally savored every bite. My only negative is that The flat breaded chicken was okay, nothing to brag about. The sauce was an orange spicy Mayo type which i enjoyed. The chicken was breaded but I didn't feel like it was seasoned well. As well I felt like it was recooked in oil twice, kinda tasted a little stale. I was glad I only got the four pieces. But overall had a good experience and would go back for that beef fried rice

Poprice Utica (Brooklyn ) vs poprice (union turnpike) #fail

This is not the same as the one in Brooklyn.. poprice utica gave you way more food and in different and bigger containers that were filled to the top. Union turnpike gave you half filled containers. Over $100 worth of food that was worth $50 Never ordering from union turnpike again I'll take the trip to brooklyn next time

Five spice roasted duck fried rice
    Roger H.

Overpriced and severely lacking in both quality and quantity, the only saving grace of this place is its uniqueness. Ordered 2 entrees one side dish and two drinks and it came out to around 47 dollars which was a little painful for what looked like and tasted like low-end Chinese take out fast food. Peach iced tea was a weird combo of sour, bitter and overly sweet couldnt really justify the 3.50 price tag. 5 spice duck fried rice was nothing to write home about either. The rice clumped together and tasted slightly mushy, the duck also had this soggy mushy texture from sitting and probably cooking in the sauce while the duck overall was overpowered by sauce. The only decent dish was the fire cracker chicken which had this great szechuan flavor to it, but again the crunch just wasn't there and for a fried chicken dish, the texture wasn't there. Really wanted to like this place as its uniqueness was really interesting, but for the price and quality it just doesn't measure up to the initial hype I had.

Next up Chicken tiki, very good nice flavor to the chicken w a little spicy kick to it & the Cocktail samosas, also very tasty. Sweet end to the course, we had the Cheesecake so rich & creamy & the Green ice cream, just the right amount of sweetness. Service has always been good, they are very attentive. What a neighborhood GEM!! Kuku Korean was fantastic! Fresh, tasty food at reasonable prices!…read more We (6 of us) were in the neighborhood for a Valentine's Day celebration and searched Yelp for a good ethnic restaurant in the area. We came across Kuku Korean and said YESSS, this is the place to go! The only wrench in our plans was that Kuku Korean doesn't take reservations; not even on Valentine's Day! They warned us that they expected to be very busy that evening, and to expect a wait. Ok, we made plans to go, but also made a Resy with another restaurant close by, as a backup plan in case there was a long wait for a table. But really, Kuku Korean was our preferred first choice. After our V Day event, we rushed over to Kuku Korean to see what the wait time was for a table for 6. It was just after 6pm, and the stars were aligned for us, because we got the last large table available! Woo Hoooo! Happy Valentine's Day to us!! We quickly cancelled our Resy with the other restaurant (sorry!) and perused Kuku Korean's fabulous menu. Our MENU (shared by 6ppl): ~ Seafood Pajeon ($24/large): Crispy battered pancake made with green onions & seafood (mussels, clams, squid, and shrimp). This was phenomenal! So much seafood and such a comforting dish...get this! ~ Veg Japche ($21): Stir-fried Korean vermicelli with Kuku soy-garlic Japchae sauce and assorted veggies. This dish was also available with various proteins but we opted for Veg since we were ordering other meat dishes. This dish was so flavorful and delicious. ~ Kuku Bibimbap ($24): Seasoned vegetables over rice, topped with a fried egg. Served with Kuku spicy bibim sauce. Again, you have the option of adding protein to this dish but we kept it veg. Another great dish! ~ Pork Galbi ($28): Char-grilled Pork ribs marinated in Kuku sauce, served with sauteed onions. Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. The pork was cut in thick slices, which was surprising, but wow, this was phenomenal! So tasty and lean, and just delicious. ~ Beef Bulgogi ($33): Sauteed thinly sliced beef rib-eye marinated in Kuku sauce with mushroom, Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. Another phenomenal dish. Bursting with flavor. -- Spicy Squid ($28): Stir-fried squid in spicy Kuku gochujang sauce, onions, hot pepper and carrot. Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. This squid was prepared perfectly; not over cooked nor rubbery! Great dish. - Ban Chan: generous unlimited servings; fresh & delicious. These 6 dishes, plus Ban Chan was perfect for 6 ppl to share. We finished everything and were fully satisfied. Every single dish was delicious and we ALL said we wanted to return to Kuku Korean to repeat some dishes and try new dishes. Customer service and atmosphere were great. The busser staff did an amazing job and were even more attentive than our server (who we only saw twice)...kudos to the bussers! They were so hard working, with a smiling, friendly attitude! Give them a raise! Looking forward to a return visit to Kuku Korean...hopefully SOON!!

They often don't read the order instructions carefully. As of my latest order, they didn't listen to the order instructions again. When I'd called, the staff member seemed nice about it and apologized, but apparently they "charge extra" and don't often do hand rolls without rice. Very common in all other restaurants I've been to. Not here. I've ordered sushi from dozens of places over the last few years and this is the first time I've ever heard these things in my life. I wouldn't order from here again. I disregard restaurants that not only don't read order instructions but go out of their way to charge for every little thing.
