WOW! So we ordered last year Togo and it was good.... But eating it in person, was EVEN BETTER!!! So delicious. Burger was perfect sized, cooked perfectly. The shrimp basket.... So good. I wish I had gotten the name of our waitress because she was awesome and deserves some kudos! She was very attentive from the time we entered until the time we left and also gave excellent recommendations. The food was great and portions were generous. Got a club sandwich and it was huge and delicious. Close to Marriott CB and a wide variety on the menu including desserts.

Food was awful for the price. Service wasn't too bad but the food was terrible. It had a diner feel but fries smelled and tasted weird.

Atmosphere is a throw back to a diner setting all the way to the music playing. Our kids, 18-19 devoured the burgers and ranked them as one of the best they have ever had. The must try. Burgers of course but the sleeper is the bang bang shrimp tacos. The sauce is out of control with just enough heat to make you notice. Another sleeper, the sweet potatoes fries. The only down side is there's barely anywhere to park. That being said my family and I had to walk about 0.3 miles, which isn't a problem but for some people it may. Coming to the beach in January is always a risk - add in a winter storm and it's almost impossible to find somewhere that is open a) in the "off" season, and b) during an ice storm. We stumbled upon this place when some other options - listed as being open - were closed. Not sure if it was due to the weather? The menu was abundant! There is something for everyone. I liked the decor and the service was top notch. We got the fried pickles as an appetizer- they were pretty good. Hubby got the Cuban (sub Swiss for pepper jack) - he said it was really good. I opted for the single burger - it was okay. Neither of us could eat the fries - they were heavily seasoned with Cajun spices and it just didn't appeal to us. I also tried the fried corn on the cob - with the honey butter spread - and that was good. Now dessert! They've got a huge selection and it all sounded amazing. I opted for the Strawberry Shortcake (it was DELICIOUS) and hubby chose strawberry cheesecake. Both of us devoured each of our chosen items without asking the other if they wanted to try it - oops. We both decided we should have had our dessert choice for dinner. All in all it was good. Not sure we would go back, but it was a decent choice. read more

Service was not really interested and didn't correct 2 easy order mistakes - they also brought the check right after the food and obviously wanted us out of the table as soon as possible. Food wasn't bad, but very expensive even by beach area standards - i.e. I had 8 of the smallest wings I've ever seen for $2each, and they say "many vegetarian options," which is not the case. And be forewarned, they'll add 3.61% for credit or debit payments. I love dive diners. But this missed the mark. With all the options close-by I wont go back and wouldn't recommend. read more

This place is absolutely amazing! Image having a party of 6 and no reservations. Not only was this place able to accommodate us - not once, but twice! And - they did so with style and professionalism - this is not just a great place, it is what I call home - the most friendly staff and owners - where more is made from scratch than I do at home! I'll be honest, I don't really care for diners. But we were on vacation and my dad said he used to take my little brother and I here when we were kids, so that's how I ended up here. We didn't wait long before a waitress showed up to seat us, and she gave us a large table in the back with plenty of room. She was really nice, and made sure our kids got their food first before the rest of us so they would be happy. Just looking at the menu, I was surprised how expensive some of the items were. The kid's items were was too much considering how much food they actually got. My daughter ordered the fried sweet corn, which was an entire corn cob just fried in oil. I don't get what made this special, there was no breading on it, no spices, just fried in oil. My other daughter got the Mac and cheese bites on the side, and they were small, only four pieces. I would think if a kids meal is $6.50, I would get more food than that. I had the beef sandwich with au jus. It was fine, nothing special. But once again, for a sandwich with no side it should be cheaper than what they charge. The atmosphere is cute on the inside, and we received good service, but considering the amount and taste of the food, I thought it was way too overpriced. Boom boom shrimp tacos were incredible. Had them in March of 2022 and had been thinking about them since. Had them twice on my week long trip this year. Love the flavors and it's a good size taco for the price! The service was also great, quick on refills with sweet tea and just nice in general. Ambiance is a pretty typical diner feel, nothing crazy. My spouse had the French onion soup without the cheese so they used a half of a hot dog bun as the crouton. That's different! The broth tasted like Campbell's beef consommé out of the can.
